At the end of today, when all the packages have been opened, the amazing dinner has been consumed, and everyone is full, cozy, and ready for a nap, will we all stop to be thankful for the reason for the day? There’s no doubt in my mind that many millions will acknowledge the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, who came to save the World.
Here at TruthNewsNet.org, the most important thing in the life of our Publisher — me — is my personal relationship with the Son of God that expanded my understanding of my existence and my calling to do my best to share not just the story of the birth of Jesus, but to share with others how we can accomplish the things a relationship with God is for.
I’m so grateful for 71 years of life that, while speckled with often uncomfortable circumstances and even illness, has been a measured relationship with Heaven that has softened the blows of humanity I’ve experienced. I’m blessed beyond measure to “still” be married to the love of my life, Mary Ann, who, on Valentine’s Day, will have been my partner for 50 years. Our three children, six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter have been the icing of an already full and blessed life.
If you are reading this note, I want to thank you for being here to share my heart when I know you certainly don’t have to. I respect and am grateful for this choice. Thank you for taking the time to do so.
Here’s one piece of encouragement and a challenge for you: our lives are not just for us, and our relationship with God is not, either. My challenge? We never know that when we interact with someone — ANYone — that interaction may be the only positive interaction with someone that person may experience that day. That means — if you’re a Christian — you may be the ONLY Jesus that person experiences that day.
Please have a wonderful Christmas. May love, joy, hope, and thankfulness fill your life and overflow to others!
Merry Christmas!
