I am trying to comprehend all of the explanations for the furor surrounding last weekend’s demonstrations turned riots turned murder in Charlottesville, Virginia. Forgive me, but as a true Southerner I am a bit simple in many ways. Although I stay tuned to the political happenings in D.C., I often struggle as I am today at reconciling our laws, the Constitution, and what law enforcement at multiple levels allows in light of laws that regulate those actions. In that light I do not understand the furor over not what happened in Charlottesville, but only the detail and timing of the President’s outcry against terror and violence that occurred. It seems to me the country is once again split down the middle: half feel he did not say enough quick enough and did not say enough about those who perpetrated one side of the violence; the other half are aghast that even with the President (before the actual “blame” facts were in) decried all the horror and violence that occurred and blasted all of those who initiated and participated in the violence that resulted in a auto homicide and during which a police helicopter crashed killing two officers, he did NOT do so soon enough and then when he did, he did not say “KKK, White Supremacists, White Nationalists” enough times or with enough anger to satisfy those of that half.

My dilemma is comprised of this: why is it that when an atrocity occurs in which one faction who is politically unacceptable is heavily involved, but is joined by several other groups who also are politically unacceptable but purposely keep a lower profile than the others, the only faction that faces blame of any kind is that faction that is politically unacceptable, even when their presence was illegal and they came armed to the hilt and obviously there only for a fight — which very quickly occurred?

The other part of my dilemma is my trying to understand why the media have concentrated only on the message delivered by the President “about” the atrocities and not concentrating at all on those who committed the atrocities (except for that one group) and certainly have spent very little time in conversation about those who died because of and during those atrocities. Today I discovered the answer.

Political Correctness. To the media, Charlottesville was not about the devastation, destruction of property, lack of sufficient law enforcement personnel to protect citizens, but rather only about not even the content of President Trump’s speech immediately after the riot and subsequent deaths, but the way he made his statement and that he was not damning enough when calling out those who committed the violence. The next day when he complied with the media’s suggestions and called out by name the groups considered to be “Right Wing” that had participated and stated that in every way their actions were unacceptable to Americans and will never be accepted as part of our nation, even calling them thugs, the media still attacked not only his messaging and method of delivery those messages, but because of that, his capacity and capability to effectively serve the nation as President!

Here are some points to consider as this saga continues to develop:

  • The President pointed out that the White Supremacists/KKK had legally obtained from the city a permit to demonstrate. Those on the other side had no legal right to a formal protest because they did not apply for a permit;
  • There is no question the Supremacists came itching for a fight. But the other side — even though doing so illegally — came to demonstrate dressed in riot gear, helmets, wearing masks and carrying shields, baseball bats, and sticks. Obviously their plan was to fight;
  • The media have concentrated on one thing and one thing only: the KKK/White Supremacists/White Nationalists (who demonstrated legally). I haven’t heard nor seen even one story from the media that even  mentions the “other” side that included Antifa, Black Lives Matters, and several other Leftist groups who did so without making application for a permit. It was obvious that they went to Virginia to have a fight. And they did;
  • There are several obvious conclusions I have made: Donald Trump in a proper way delivered his message about the horrors on Saturday before law enforcement had confirmed who were actually involved in the incidents that resulted in human death. Note that if he had waited, the media would have attacked him for not coming to Americans sooner. Even though when the facts were in, he did EXACTLY what they attacked him for not doing soon enough. His by name calling out the White Supremacists and condemning them for their actions in the most obvious and demonstrative way — was still not sufficient for the Left.  They ramped up their “Dump Trump” rhetoric, feeding on the anger and hurt Americans were feeling because of the racist horrors and loss of life. THEY BLAME TRUMP AND NOT THOSE WHO COMMITTED THE CRIMES! The media in their denouncements of the President were joined by many Democrats in the Senate and the House AND even by some Republicans. Their doing so pushes me even deeper into my dilemma.

I’ll put these points also in bullet format:

  • It matters not when the President responded or what he said when he responded. Whatever and whenever he did so was not appropriate nor timely in the minds of all those on the Left. Simply because they came from President Trump they must be inaccurate, inappropriate, and insufficient, regardless of their content. The Media’s default position is that President Trump is racist;
  • The media and many GOP and Democrat members of Congress attacked the President for condemning “violence from both sides.” They felt he should have only called out the White Supremacists. That would mean that the ones that came there illegally with only one thought in mind — to fight — and then did so using clubs and sticks they brought were somehow justified because, after all, they were “anti Fascist” — at least that’s what their name claims: Antifa, or “anti-fascist.” (read the post from several days ago titled “Charlottesville, Virginia: where Liberal Political Correctness is Stronger than Ever.” I’ll summarize that post and say Antifa and Black Lives Matter are NOT as they claim to be “anti-fascist.” The opposite is true: they exist to destroy free speech and independent thinking and expression. They have been given a cloak by the Press to hide their real identities. They are the true fascists.

This is a demonstration by members of the group Antifa. These are the people who have gone nuts on college campuses, threatening those who are conservatives who show up to hear other conservatives speak about conservatism in scheduled meetings initiated by the Administrations of those colleges. Some of those scheduled speakers canceled because of personal safety fears. Others are threatened simply because members of Antifa are there to carry out the almost century-old objective of Antifa: stop any messaging by anyone that promotes thinking in ways that are not conducive to Antifa’s process of thinking and the specific messages Antifa wishes to force on others.

This picture carries a common message of Antifa: refuse to be governed by those duly elected by Americans to govern. And “This is War.” They have shown up in Portland, Berkeley, Los Angeles, Gettysburg, Baltimore, and other cities. In every case they come fully equipped with blackout clothing, helmets, shields, masks that entirely block their faces, bats and large sticks, often with professionally designed and printed signs with multiple totalitarian messages. They in days before the demonstration/riots have been seen and overheard recruiting those who would be interested in joining their ranks for a “riot of the week,” and have been offering people $15 an hour to do so.

  • Not only was it acceptable for the President to call out all those who committed violence in Charlottesville and that he waited to do that while waiting for the details about who exactly started the violence, it was the RIGHT thing for him to do. All of the noise from anyone and everyone on the Right or Left that condemned him for doing that and subsequently then naming and condemning the White groups who were part if it is unconscionable. Violence of any kind by anyone/everyone against others is wrong. And those who somehow try to paint the President as being racist or a White Supremacists sympathizer totally ignore the truth. “If” the President had NOT called out all those complicit in the violence, the Media would have attacked him for not doing so! It’s simple: it is common knowledge that no matter what the President says in explanation of any occurrence in his Administration, the Media will attack not what he says, but will attack him. To the Media, the truth does not matter!

America has slipped into an abyss. Reality, truthfulness, doing the right thing, abiding by the law are all not only unnecessary, they are denigrated and laughed at by the Left. It no longer matters what reality and truth are. What we do in our lives makes absolutely no difference. It is irrelative. The only thing that matters is what someone — anyone — on the left says. Truth is insignificant. In today’s news world it is called “Symbolism over Substance.” The realities in a dilemma can be totally eliminated “IF” the Mom and Dad agree and embark on a cruise to Politically Correct La La Land. Talk about an easy life! No one knows who the governor of La La Land is, who is vice-mayor, even who owns the cruise ship going to La La Land. The only thing that matters is that whoever has been “anointed” to be the “Politically Correct Guru of the Day,” is propped up by the Press to guarantee that message gets out clearly and uninterrupted.

The saga of the “Dump Trump” gang this past weekend shifted into high gear. They are rabidly trying to do and say anything they feel necessary to destroy confidence of the American people in this President. Unfortunately for those piloting this boat further into the Swamp, Americans understand that. And real conservatives don’t buy the Identity Political narrative being sold by the Leftist Media. Americans listen to what the President says — really listen. The Media have ignored Donald Trump’s 50-year professional business career in which he has employed hundreds of thousands of people from all walks of life. “If” there was a shred of evidence of racism during that 50 years, certainly by now the investigative departments at the New York Times and Washington Post would have uncovered those and plastered them across the Media sky for all Americans to see. There’s obviously no “there” there.

Donald Trump is not a racist.

Keep it up, media. You are helping in the dismantling of what little bit of credibility Democrats have. I’m fine with that. Please continue thinking Americans are stupid and that Americans trust you and that Americans feel they MUST get their truths from you. Remember: Rome burned while the emperor fiddled.

Yes, I said it. We are going to tackle the most critical, most misunderstood, and most visual issue of the day, without getting personal or negative. In this narrative I will not mention names of individuals or groups, or ever get into the “I” or “you” or “they” mode. This will be difficult, but is imperative for all Americans to understand now. Why now? If we do not research, process, and implement a realistic method of dealing with racism in America, our society will never be able to function as it was designed to by the Founders. They escaped to the New Word to get away from the cultures of racism and bigotry that dominated life in Europe at the time. The Founders emphatically assured an environment of tolerance by all who subscribed to the tenants of the U.S. Constitution. Americans must re-visit those tenants if there is any hope of racial reconciliation and ultimate American peace within.

There can be no eradication of racism by edict, by law, by mandate, or by strife or hate. The necessary process to do away with racism is not complicated. But it is very difficult to accept and adopt by most Americans. But if racism is to ever be put away in our culture, this process is necessary. What is it? Follow along with me:

  • We must be personally willing to give up the right to feel wronged. Feeling wronged and/or taken advantage of by others brings with it a spirit of entitlement that prevents any possibility of reconciliation with whoever perpetrated an act that initiated that feeling. When anyone feels entitled to any specifics that pertain to interaction with someone else, simple because we are all human and therefore prone to mess up, when we do, that “entitled” person almost always gets hurt feelings from being wronged. Adopting a fundamental default mindset that has no piece in it of ownership or right directly or indirectly attached to any action of another keeps the air clear and that person genuinely does not feel wronged.
  • We must adopt a default position of blanket acceptance of others. That is impossible unless we consciously commit to look past the mistakes and errors that others make from just being humans. We must expect that association with those will naturally include human traits and actions that are by their actual foundation flawed and mistake driven. If we enter a relationship at any level with the expectation of human nature showing up, when that shows up we merely express our love and support for others and let the “chips fall where they may.” Making mistakes in life are commonplace and a certainty.
  • We must resist the everyday temptations of assessing blame. How best to do that: accept that others by nature will do us wrong and by nature we will do others wrong. That acceptance will take blame out of the environment of relationships and never color the way we interact with others. That will keep the air clear instead of being constantly full of wonder and anger and mistrust that are the products of blame.
  • Forgiveness MUST be fundamental in our lives. There are three types of forgiveness we must adopt and accept: forgiveness of ourselves, forgiveness of others, forgiveness from God. Admit it: we are all flawed, make mistakes, and have hurt others. If we are unwilling or unable to admit that and find a way to forgive ourselves for mistakes and/or choices made based simply on our built in propensities to screw up, how can we ever hope to forgive anyone else? When we accept the fact that it is human to be flawed, that we make mistakes and we are sorry for those and commit to not repeat them, we can then transfer that process to our relationships with others. In those — because we have accepted our flaws and forgiven ourselves — we have learned how to offer that same process to those who have in their humanity made mistakes just like we have. That will initiate forgiveness for them. Finally, we all should know that God wants to forgive us for our boo boo’s. Often we refuse to accept His forgiveness feeling we are not good enough. Here is an important fact to remember: forgiveness is not ever deserved or earned. Forgiveness is given. God gave forgiveness to us. It is foolish to not be willing to accept it and make it part of our life. That would be a tremendous waste! In doing so, we show others that there is life after forgiveness without the staggering guilt that comes with un-forgiveness of all kinds.
  • We must find a way to put others in our lives first: ALL the time. There is only one way to do that. We must find a way to honestly love those who we do not know. Wow! How is that even possible? First, we must accept that love is not a feeling. Love is an action that we choose to take that must be truly selfless and without conditions. And it must be for someone else with total abandonment of any predisposition we may have for that person or that person’s circumstances. Love is actually the act of giving to someone expecting nothing in return. Unless we can achieve that mind and heart set, we can never truly love others. We all have been guilty of using the word love in selfish and self serving ways, hoping to achieve some action from another by telling them we love them. True love means exactly the opposite: “I love you,” period — no expectation of anything for giving that love away. Think about this: in a racist environment the atmosphere is charged with distrust, hate, selfishness, and fear. Even in that environment if we find a way to show acts of true love, we can actually see fear disappear. The Bible says “True love dispels all fear.” Without fear, racism melts away, and love is what remains.
  • To make this change, we must be honest with each other AND ourselves. Telling and/or living lies only serves to exacerbate the already intolerable atmosphere between us. Think how much easier it would be to work through all this together if we did not have to ask “What did he REALLY mean?” when someone tells us something. It would be refreshing to be able to simply believe what we hear and move forward. Believe it or not, doing this will probably be the hardest thing many will do in this process. Why? We have processed the trait of accepting lies — those we say to ourselves and those we say to others — as O.K. Example: When someone we don’t want to talk to calls us and our wife answers the phone in the kitchen, we whisper to our wives, “Tell him I’m not here.” When our son or daughter who sees the whole thing says, “Daddy, you told a lie!” Our response is, “I really WASN’T right there by the phone. I was across the room, so it really wasn’t a lie.” We somehow find a way to make that lie OK. By the way: there is no such thing as a “little white lie.” A lie is a lie. “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)
  • We must learn how to “know” those people in our lives, not just know “about” them: there’s a huge difference. I know “about” many people — I know where they live, the car they drive, how they dress, where they work, where their kids go to school, their political party affiliation. That is knowing “about” them. To know them is to know WHY they live where they live, WHY they drive THAT car and dress THAT way and work at THAT job, etc. If I know someone I know when and why they hurt, how they feel about all sorts of things in their life, and they know the same things about me. Too often in this racism charged world we look at people and simply assume because we “see” them we “know” them.
  • We must stop making decisions based solely on what we see and hear from others — especially in the Media. A large percentage of political decisions Americans make today are based on perceptions they make based on things others — including the Media — state as truth or given as factual “news” information. We have become lazy, primarily because we are media driven and busy. It is much easier to turn on the radio, skim the newspaper headlines, or watch nighttime news or late night monologues to use as the foundation for our decisions. We owe it to ourselves and our families to make educated decisions and choices, especially those involving those closest to us. I urge you to spend time reading and studying various sources of information — especially when you see or hear things that are so important as to initiate specific decisions in your life. Not knowing something for certain doesn’t mean one is stupid. Not knowing something for certain and not getting a factual answer by choice IS stupid. Life is too important to change for ourselves and others based on incorrect or inaccurate or false information.

I hate racism. I don’t care in what form it exists, it in every instance illustrates a disdain for others based solely on skin color or moral superiority that is not real but perceived. Racism cannot exist in a vacuum void of hatred and fear. Those two drive the narrative of racism. To do away with the 21st Century plague, we must rid our lives of these and replace them with at least those things above in this discussion. I am certain there are others that we need to consider. I want us to do that. Please do not just read this and blow it off. I do not care what you think of me. As I have said many times, just because I think something is so doesn’t make it so. I love to hear diversity in thoughts and ideas and want to read yours.

Please take a few moments and below share your comments and suggestions. I want to start today a serious conversation from all who wish to weigh in with ideas to make a course correction before it is too late. Name calling, the blame game, guilt, fear, hatred, elitism, political correctness, all must go away in this conversation. We are adults. And we care about this generation and its issues. We all want it to survive and thrive so that the next will have a great foundation on which to make our nation better.

I am NOT linking this to my Facebook page. This will only be viewable here unless you share it somewhere else. (feel free to do so if you like) My feelings about involvement in this very important discussion are simple: The more the merrier. There are a lot of people who view this site. (Yesterday 94,146 read yesterday’s post) But few take the time to comment or discuss. I encourage your input. Not trying to sell anything to anyone. I am honestly hungry to make this world a better place for my 6 grandchildren and for yours.

Thanks for joining in.

21st Century Pharisees

Pharisee: “a member of an ancient Jewish sect, distinguished by strict observance of the traditional and written law, and commonly held to have pretensions to superior sanctity; a self-righteous person; a hypocrite.”

The Pharisees were at various times a political party, a social movement, and a school of thought in the Holy Land during the time of Second Temple Judaism. They were members of the ruling class of Judaism and also determined acceptable social and ethical rules with which traditional Jewish people were required to live. Initially they were revered as being above, better educated, more knowledgeable, more righteous than everyday Jewish people. But as time wore on, their hypocrisy and narcissism was exposed to the world, and many of the common people became haters of the Pharisees. In the 1st century, it became common to refer to anyone that was disliked as a “Pharisee.” Members of the general population avoided interaction with Pharisees at all costs.

After several centuries of traditional civil and religious domination of Jewish society, Jesus burst onto the scene. He systematically began to question everything that the Pharisees had done and said for many years. Those things had in essence become the “social” law of the Jews and were installed and considered actual laws. When Jesus showed up, he began to personally question the Pharisees and the social and religious infrastructure they had installed in the Jewish community.  And he typically did the questioning in very public settings. The Pharisees had always held positions of authority and leadership that (until Jesus) had never been questioned. His questioning changed things — many things.

Needless to say, He did not get the answers he wanted. In fact, he often responded to a question WITH a question, making those who asked think through their questions and their substance. This environment of questioning of those in positions of authority opened Pandora’s Box. His proverbial “line in the sand” with the Pharisees kept the religious atmosphere charged as there were constant confrontations between Jesus and the Pharisees — he to aggravate them and they to diminish in the public the perception that He may really be someone important.  But People really liked Him, His message, and his bombastic way of communication. And People really disliked Pharisees. As His crowds began to grow, the crowds at traditional meetings led by the Pharisees and other Jewish leaders dwindled. The ruling class then began to take action against Jesus in just about every way they could. It became obvious he was a threat to traditional Judaism, and they had to stop Him. It took them a few years, but they did.

The Pharisee methods were often humorous. They discovered soon after beginning confrontations with Jesus that not only was he popular with the people, he was a pretty smart guy too. So they tried traditional gossip: The Pharisees said, “Are you carried away like the rest of the rabble? You don’t see any of the leaders believing in him, do you? Or any from the Pharisees? It’s only this crowd, ignorant of God’s Law, that is taken in by him—and damned.” (interpretation: “Nobody believes in this kook but stupid people.  Do you see any leaders following him? The only ones that do are these nuts that have allowed themselves to be taken in, and they’re crazy!”)

For sake of time I’ll stipulate here what most of you already know: the Pharisees found enough support after their exhaustive efforts to discredit Jesus and implicate Him in a purported plot to usurp the King and takeover the Jews as their King. The crime for doing this if He did it: death by crucifixion. You know the rest of the story: they killed Him.

I bring this up to make a comparison: we see many similarities in the story of Jesus and the Pharisees in our political process today. Don’t jump to conclusions: I’m NOT comparing Donald Trump to Jesus. What I am pointing out is that in the political and social environment then, there was a class of people who claimed power simply because someone appointed them: Pharisees. They pretty much took control politically and socially within the Jewish community. Today we have a large group of people who fall into a similar grouping. There is a group of people — some elected, some appointed, some hired — that assumed their roles as leaders in the Republican Party. They made many promises to the Jewish people of the things they would, would not do, would allow and not allow, and would make rules for every process for the smooth operation of the religious and social Jewish communities. Establishment Republicans (many call them “RINO’s” — Republicans in Name Only) have fallen into a similar role as did the Pharisees.  Of course Trump within this scenario is in the role of Christ. Substantively, the RINO’s are operating the same as did the Pharisees. And they are seeing their popularity and acceptance from Americans dwindle quickly as they watch the peoples’ support for President Trump rise.

Another irony when comparing these two stories: RINO’s want President Trump out of office — quickly. They did NOT want him nominated to be the G.O.P. representative, they did NOT want him elected, and now they want him GONE. And they’re willing to do just about anything to make that happen. They feed information about the Trump Administration to the Press, much of which is not true. They fake public support of the President and his agenda while working  behind the scenes to do their best to destroy it. For 8 years they made promises to Americans of the many things they would do once they gained control of the House, Senate, and White House. When voters believed them and gave them their wishes, RINO’s literally sat down on their hands and only figuratively “showed” effort to fulfill the promises they made to voters in support of President Trump.

Although we know what happened in the Biblical version of this story, we do not know the end of the current Pharisee saga. They killed Jesus. This group is trying to do so — well figuratively. But no doubt they want Him gone and have unified with those across the aisle for assistance. Jesus met his demise outside of the Capitol city of Jerusalem. These Pharisees want to take Trump out in Washington, D.C. — the Capitol. In his hypocritical trial, Jesus was “convicted” by testimony of innuendo, made up stories, and false accusations. President Trump faces them every day from the Media and has for more than a year. And those Media bashings consistently ignore truth and are comprised of inference, innuendo, and all out lies. They are designed to do one thing: kill the President.

Let’s compare a few of the policies each proposed that got them in trouble: In Matthew 12, several incidents are reported in which Jesus did things that set the Pharisees off: he instructed them to allow people to do necessary work on Sundays, and he healed a man with a withered hand…on Sunday. Both were prohibited by Jewish rule.

Donald Trump issued executive orders instructing the federal government to enforce existing immigration laws that had been written, passed, and signed into law Constitutionally but that had been ignored by his predecessor. The RINO’s pretty much sat quietly when he did so, but refused to support those executive orders instead of supporting the President as they each had promised to do during the election.

Examples like these go on and on and on. I’ll stop here and summarize the comparisons:

No, Donald Trump is not an incarnation of Jesus and Establishment Republicans are not Pharisees. But the similarities are stark. It shows that in every culture and society in history, there has always been a politically elite class and a working class. The elitists make all the rules and the working men and women do all the work detailed in the elite class’s plans. This was true then and is true now. The “little guy” in both of these instances is always left out of any conversation about issues with existing laws and suggested changes. It is that way now and was then.

The Pharisees told lie upon lie and gave false witness and testimony over and over again for one reason only: to get rid of Jesus. The RINO’s and the alt-Left Media constantly create false narratives and fake evidence and hollow accusations that are complete falsehoods and shout those allegations from the rooftops to try and turn legitimate supporters of the President to the Leftist causes. Back then the Pharisees were successful at getting rid of Jesus. The book is still out on Trump’s viability. I gotta say: if anyone can take a bull by the horns and change his mind, it is Donald Trump. At this point I think the odds are 50/50 that the Pharisees will win. I pray that does not happen.

One really good thing in the story of Jesus is that it has a great ending: even though they killed Jesus, He’s still in the picture. Trump of course is not divine and does not have the ability to hang around after he might be taken out. But what is good going on for the President is those RINO’s in Congress only have a potential market there of 535 votes — the number of members in the House and Senate. Americans have about 120 million votes. They voted for Trump once and put him in the White House. The continued efforts by the RINO’s to oust the President with the help of the alt-Left Media in my opinion will fall short. Why? Americans see the amazing accomplishments that have occurred under Trump, even if the Media refuse to report it.

The bottom line is “The Truth will Out.” The truth is we are on the right track with this President. Give him a shot. He’s given us better results than did the President he replaced. I bet if we leave him alone and Congress gives him even a smidgen of support for those things wanted by most Americans, he’ll be fine.

Schoolyard Bullies

The last two fights I had each ended with one punch. In all honesty, I wasn’t much of a fighter. In fact, I hated the entire process of fighting in Middle School. Back then the cool thing for guys to do to showcase their manhood to their peers was to pick a fight. I never adopted that thought process. But my father taught me something at an early age about fighting: “Avoid fighting unless fighting is your last resort. But if you are forced to fight, WIN.” I think I may have in my lifetime been in a total of 4. The last 2 were with friends. I won them both.

Here is my problem with the past and current culture of “schoolyard fighting:” the bullies never really want to fight — they want to bully. Maybe consciously, maybe subconsciously, whatever they want they want to be a product of their bullying. They really don’t want to fight. They’d rather “intimidate” a win from their opponent.

Both of my last two fights were with friends that tried to bully me. They acted tough, taunted me, dared me, made fun of me, and made my life miserable. I was embarrassed as I saw fellow students laugh at me, call me “Chicken,” in some way wanting to see me fight — hoping to see me fight. In both cases I finally had enough. Both confrontations with those bullies were quick and final: one punch — one in the jaw and one in the nose. There was a lot of blood and some real crying. But their bullying ended quickly.

Historically we Americans have seen a lot of bullying: Hirohito, Hitler, Kruzchev, Castro, Qadafi, Sadam Hussein, and others. In every “bullying” incident with these, the United States took a simple position and held to it: right is right, we support what is right, we will do what is right, and we will NOT be intimidated by anyone to do anything other than what is right. Several of the instances pertaining to those above ended in war — even World War. A couple of others saw the bully back down, but not until confrontation took place. Face it: most bullies are egotistical, self centered, have a God complex, and are certain they are above the law — ANY law. They all want their way in everything, and usually get it. World literature is full of award winning stories of underdogs that, when confronted by a bully, find a way to stand up to that bully for what is right. Often taking that stand has not been popular, has not seemed like a good idea at the time, has cost people jobs, relationships, political standing, and sometimes financial ruin. But seldom does the bully win in the end. Usually bullies get what they prayed they would avoid receiving: a good whipping.

A good example is the story of Goliath. Little David saw Goliath walking back and forth on a riverbank threatening the army of Israel. None from Israel would answer Goliath’s threat to mix it up with the bully. Their fear and hesitance infuriated the young shepherd who volunteered to King Saul to take the Philistine Goliath out. Saul snickered at first, then realized David was sincere. The irony here was King Saul was a well known warrior, but even he had allowed Goliath’s bullying tactics to work, keeping even the King away! Saul let David confront Goliath! The rest is history: the bully was confronted, done away with, and righteousness prevailed.

Tom Stiglich /

There is a bully in the neighborhood. His name is Kim Jong-un — the North Korean leader. Kim, his father, and his father’s father all walked to and fro through the gatherings of other world leaders and have threatened their unilateral nuclear attacks on their “enemies” since the Bill Clinton Administration. Clinton, Bush, and then Obama all allowed Kim Jong-un and his father to pretty much have it their way. All threatened the Korean dictator, trying to scare him away from his nuclear program. Even the United Nations stepped in to help. Kim made hollow promises that he never intended to keep and indeed did not, and just kept developing nuclear warheads. Clinton, Bush, and even Obama blustered at the dictator and basically told him, “Don’t make us come back there. You’ll regret the results!” What results? Kim has kept building and is now ready to lob a couple of nukes at Japan, Guam, and now even has ICBM capability to nuke the U.S. Year after year, those on the political Left and Right in the U.S. have pushed for and carried out diplomatic discussions with Kim to try and slow down if not eliminate North Korea’s nuclear program — to no avail.

Enter President Trump. He’s a New York negotiator. No surprise that he began “selling” Kim on the fact that Kim should fall in line to this “promise” from Trump: “Don’t make me come back there!” With that paraphrased initial warning from Trump, “Pajama Boy” began to unfold his bullying threats that have always worked before on World leaders, including previous U.S. Presidents. Not so with President Trump. For every barb launched by Kim at Trump, the President threw one back that had a little more oomph.

This process has driven politicians from both sides of the aisle AND the American press crazy! I could quote numerous Senators, Congressmen and Women, and just about every news anchor and newspaper reporter as they all blast the President for seemingly abandoning diplomacy while ratcheting up the inevitability of nuclear war. But wiser minds have stepped in to “call off the dogs.” It seems according to numerous intelligence sources that North Korea’s readiness to launch a nuclear attack on anyone is not nearly as advanced as they would like the U.S. to believe. Further, the United States has numerous lines of defense for stopping such an attack if launched — some known to the public and options whose details are unknown to the public — which, according to military and nuclear experts, would be sufficient to prevent an attack on the U.S. from succeeding.

The facts regarding diplomacy with North Korea are in: diplomacy has worked only to allow the dictator to continue to steal money to be used for food for his starving citizens and to re-direct that money to his growing nuclear military program, in spite of his regular commitments to the UN and others to shut it down. Diplomacy has not worked.

President Trump took office and quickly took a stand against North Korea’s nuclear program and put Pajama Boy on notice. The President has not blinked. The bully in Asia keeps getting louder, louder, and louder and louder. He keeps waiting and expects THIS President to act like the last one, and the one before him, and the one before him, and back down just as they all did. Kim Jong-un is besides himself as he watches the New York tough guy refuse to blink when the bully just jacks up his threats.

I don’t think Pajama Boy is stupid. I think he’s a spoiled rotten brat who is the only overweight North Korean. He always gets his way. Donald Trump is certainly not the first or only President to tell North Korean leaders that if they continue their nuclear proliferation there is a horrendous price to pay for doing so. But he’s the first and only U.S. President that Kim is pretty sure will keep his word.

Unlike me I’m fairly certain President Trump has been in more than 4 fights in his life. I’m pretty sure he learned how to fight and win at a young age. And I’m pretty sure he’s come away from most of those fights beating the bullies he’s faced. Though the bell has not yet sounded for this fight, when that bell rings “if” it rings, I’m pretty sure President Trump will be the fighter standing at the end of the 10-count — “If” that bell ever rings. And I’m not so sure it ever will. But if it does, won’t it be nice to have someone in the ring representing us that actually knows how to fight to win and will?

Wolves in Sheeps Clothing

“Antifa.” We’ve all heard of the the group. I wrote about it some time ago when they made the news all dressed in black and masks, tearing apart the streets and buildings at Portland and Berkeley. The name is a shortened version of “anti-Fascists.” Obviously that means they are against fascism.  Now that Antifa is back in the news along with the group BLM, or “Black Lives Matter,” it’s worth a look to examine Antifa closer and find out what it is and what Antifa is all about.

Fascism is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and control of industry and commerce, that came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I, before it spread to other European countries. Opposed to liberalism, Marxism, and anarchism, fascism is usually placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum. However, many today on the extreme political Left claim fascism’s tenants as theirs although they cringe at the the us of the name “Fascist” for the ideology so many in the Left espouse today.

Fascism promotes the establishment of a totalitarian state. It opposes democracy, rejects multi-party systems, and supports a one-party state. The Doctrine of Fascism states, “The Fascist conception of the State is all-embracing; outside of it no human or spiritual values can exist, much less have value. Thus understood, Fascism is totalitarian, and the Fascist State—a synthesis and a unit inclusive of all values—interprets, develops, and potentiates the whole life of a people.”  Fascist states pursued policies of social indoctrination through propaganda in education and the media and regulation of the production of educational and media materials. Education was designed to glorify the fascist movement and inform students of its historical and political importance to the nation. It attempted to purge ideas that were not consistent with the beliefs of the fascist movement and to teach students to be obedient to the Fascists state. Does any of this sound “Antifa,” “Black Lives Matter,” or “Democrat Party” to you?

You have read my cries against political elitism — selective “Political Correctness” — exhibited exhaustively by those on the Left and propped up by the Alt Left Media. There is MUCH irony in all this: mostly in that Fascism was created and perpetuated by tyrannical leaders and governments to purge societies from those ideals that differed from the politics of “Political Correctness” as defined by that society’s Leadership. There is NO room in Fascism for Freedom of Speech, diversity of any kind, the right to freely disagree and express individual ideas. It appeared first in 1920’s Italy, was adopted and taken to a new level by Hitler in Germany, and has silently (and not so silently) slept in many countries around the world, occasionally appearing in “appropriate” circumstances when Fascists see opportunities to publicly make cases for their totalitarian causes.

Fast forward to 2016-17. The Nation elected Donald Trump as President. There is no question he is a true capitalist, strong believer in individuality, the free market system, smaller government, less powerful government, and a political process in America returned to the People. This has set the Left on fire! And obstruction, hate and anger, and anti-Conservatism has in just a few short months taken over the narrative of 2017 politics and social justice in the U.S. Where are the cries for more individual American opportunities in education, business expansion, to create new opportunities for American exceptionalism with incentives to create — overall upward movement in every phase of life that have all stymied over the last decade or so? The only place you see and hear these things are from the current White House. CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, every major newspaper, ALL decry all of the aforementioned American fundamentals for which our forefathers fought and many died to create and then maintain for Americans of every race, religion, and creed. And they all prop up the opposite mindset that we’re watching on television devour our Nation!

Folks, Fascism IS here in America — and it’s everywhere. You may be shocked when I reveal this to you, but its factually proven now: Fascism in the U.S. has two names: ANTIFA and BLACK LIVES MATTER!

I’ll prove that to you. Fascism as defined is politically and fundamentally controlled by those who want to steal individuality and diversity from all those in that society. ANTIFA mask themselves not only with those black outfits and real black masks at the demonstrations and riots they have initiated in the last months. ANTIFA is masked as “anti-Fascist.” They are NOT anti-Fascist.  They ARE Fascists. If they were truly anti-Fascist, they would systematically fight all those who choose to quash free speech and destroy diversity among American cultures. They would push within the American education system for the growth of all things pursuant to support the U.S. Constitution, a duly elected government, capitalism, and a free market system. They do NOT! In fact, their objectives are clearly the opposite of those which proves: ANTIFA IS FASCIST!

Let’s take it one step further. BLM (Black Lives Matters) though not a century old formally structured and maintained as an active, world-wide political faction, IS a political faction with the same or very similar objectives in all their activities as ANTIFA. BLM however seems to target American law enforcement individuals, primarily White. And most of their fascist actions occur in targeting those in the law enforcement community. Nevertheless, BLM clearly embraces Fascist fundamentals, has implemented those in their operations, and try to disguise their totalitarian ideals in their cries against Conservatives. And the Alt Left Press in America have been their vehicle to push that propaganda out. Just as in 1930’s Germany, there is a segment of America that has swallowed the ANTIFA and BLM Fascist propaganda as truth and just.

Just a thought here: when Berkeley, Portland, Gettysburg, Los Angeles, and Baltimore riots occurred, did you hear those in Congress publicly immediately cry out against the fascist terrorist and criminal activities of ANTIFA and BLM? How about just yesterday regarding the 3 killed and dozens wounded in Charlottesville, Virginia? Senators John McCain and Marco Rubio DID cry out. But only against about half of the perpetrators of the violence and against President Trump for (without any evidence whatsoever) place all the blame for the rioting on the White Supremacists. Neither said anything about ANTIFA or BLM. And, by the way, who started the fighting? (I am asking that as a sincere question) I don’t know.  I haven’t heard and I haven’t heard anyone even mention it. I assume law enforcement is still investigating the entire matter and haven’t reached that conclusion yet. But not knowing who started it, who was at fault, who beat people up and destroyed property, McCain, Rubio, and others from both Parties screamed about White Supremacists, the KKK, and White Nationalists who I assume WERE there, but I don’t know if they instigated any or all of the terror or violence. NEITHER DO ANY OF THE POLITICIANS THAT ARE CRYING FOR HEADS TO ROLL.

Here’s where I’m headed with this: everyone knew that demonstration by the Supremacists was to demonstrate against the removal of a Robert E. Lee monument. Such a demonstration is not only perfectly legal under the First Amendment, such actions have been encouraged for a couple of centuries as one of the fundamental rights that separate the United States from every other country on Earth. Their being there and demonstrating against that monument removal was and is perfectly legal.

ANTIFA and BLM showed up NOT to demonstrate for any cause, other than to exercise THEIR fascist principles to suppress all free speech.

By the way, they did the same thing at every one of the universities in America where they have stepped in to stop known conservative free speech speakers brought in to speak to students about conservatism. On those campuses that was/is a fascist attack on free speech. In Virginia, it was the same thing.

I hate racism. I hate terrorism. I hate White Supremacy. I hate the Democrat Party established KKK and all it stands for. But as much as I hate what they stand for and believe, if any of their members wish to peacefully and publicly make a speech supporting their philosophies, the Constitution demands they have and be given the right to do so. Not allowing that to happen at college campuses where conservatives have been terrorized into not speaking over and over again is part of the totalitarian fundamentals of ANTIFA as fascists. ANTIFA yesterday in Virginia in a fascist action took it upon themselves to once again take the First Amendment away from those Americans, as horrible as their message was going to be.

How hypocritical is it for our politicians like McCain, Rubio, and others to encourage Americans to tear the First Amendment and all it promises to us from our copies of the Constitution and do as they have done in manufacturing a fascist right that allows selective political elitism to create a false right to do so.

Senator McCain, Senator Rubio, I expect things like this from the New York Times and Washington Post, from CNN, and NBC, and Senator Chuck Schumer. But I expect more from you. I understand now more than ever why Americans have turned their noses up in the air at the very thought of how you guys govern and how little you get done. It borders on comical the way you represent Americans in Congress and think that no one watches what you do and don’t do, rather just listen to and blindly accept the garbage you tell us. You and many of your colleagues obviously represent only your personal feelings and wishes — definitely not the 60 million or so that elected this President. Why don’t YOU get out in the Press and instead of taking shots at the President, take shots at those who REALLY are perpetrating evil on Americans: ANTIFA and BLM and the Leftist Press? Senators McCain, Rubio, and you others, grow a pair and stand up to Fascism!

Charlottesville, Virginia: where Liberal Political Correctness is Stronger than Ever

Violence again rocks still another American city: Charlottesville, Virginia. At this writing complete details of the demonstration-turned-violent are still being shaped by law enforcement. But the deadly clash was between White Supremacists and the group of protestors comprised primarily of members of ANTIFA — the self proclaimed “anti” fascist group that has been involved in pretty much all of the recent riots in Portland, Berkeley, Los Angeles, and now Charlottesville. Who “cast the first stone” remains to be determined. But at this point 3 people are dead — one 32 year old woman run over in another terrorist car attack there and 2 police when their hovering police helicopter fell from the sky. Dozens are injured, many seriously.

Politicians from pretty much everywhere have weighed in on this highly charged political/racist/domestic terror travesty, even before facts are complete. Of course they all take sides blaming White Supremacists, White Nationalists, ANTIFA, neo-Nazis, and of course President Donald Trump:

Senator Marco Rubio tweeted: “Very important for the nation to hear @potus describe events in #Charlottesville for what they are, a terror attack by #whitesupremacists”

“The views fueling the spectacle in Charlottesville are repugnant,” Speaker Paul Ryan wrote on Twitter. “Let it only serve to unite Americans against this kind of vile bigotry.” Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader, said the “hate and bigotry” espoused by the march’s participants “does not reflect American values.”

Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), who had declared a state of emergency in the morning, said at an evening news conference that he had a message for “all the white supremacists and the Nazis who came into Charlottesville today: Go home. You are not wanted in this great commonwealth.”

Political Correctness or Political Hypocrisy?

Remember those recent demonstrations-turned-riots in Portland, Berkeley, Los Angeles, and Gettysburg? Dozens of citizens and law enforcement officials were injured and some seriously. Millions of dollars of property damages resulted. The self-proclaimed anti-Fascist group ANTIFA was deeply involved in all, and in all participated in every way in the acts of violence. They were in full force in today’s terror in Charlottesville and also participated in acts of violence.

Here is the condemnation of the ANTIFA acts of violence from Senator Marco Rubio today along with his tweet criticizing President Trump: “—————————–” There was none.

Here is the condemnation of ANFITA’s acts of violence from Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe when he said they are not welcome in Virginia: —————————” There was none.

However, we know for certain the American media when reporting on the domestic terror horrors in Virginia pointed at The White Supremacists, Nazis, White Nationalists, and ANTIFA members as being guilty of major violence and crimes against others.  Read below some of their story headlines:

“3 Dead After Violence Linked To White Nationalist Rally In Virginia”

“Car Hits Crowd After White Nationalist Rally in Charlottesville Ends in Violence”

“Virginia white supremacist rally turns violent, shut down by police”

“One dead and 19 injured as car strikes crowds along route of white Nationalist rally in Charlottesville”

Hmmm…..Maybe my assertion above is wrong: I don’t see news headlines blaming “every” group involved in the Virginia violence for their part in the violence. They give the Alt Left participants a pass….again!

I’m faking my surprise: there’s no surprise. Once again the Media use their one-sided, liberal, fake news reporting to paint White America as racist, violent, and all as terrorists. The truth is simple: “some” people are racists — people from multiple racial groups, ethnicities, religions, and political persuasions. Contrary Ms. Clinton’s “Deplorables” speech in New York during the 2016 Presidential campaign, not all Conservatives or Trump supports are racists or bear the other labels she asserted.

I’m a White Christian American. I am not a racist. And I’m tired of being labeled as a racist, just because I am a White American. I also am tired of the labels placed on pretty much all Americans for the purpose of either elevating or lowering their status in the minds of self appointed political elitists who in doing so are bigots and racists themselves which is proven just by their labeling of others!

President Trump today called out perpetrators of ALL violence — not just that of White Supremacists, KKK members, and members of ANTIFA who I in news video saw wielding deadly weapons and using them today in these Virginia demonstrations. It’s sad to see in the headlines above the Leftist news media as usual leveled their hypocritical vitriol in one direction only: at the “white folks.” It should go to ALL those involved in those illegal acts.

Just as did President Trump, I call out everyone guilty of violence of any kind. That includes the perpetrators of the Charlottesville violence today that has so far resulted in 3 deaths and several dozen serious injuries. I do not pick and choose against whom to level my anger for acts of violence as members of the Left have done. Violence in ALL forms against any others is not only morally wrong, it is illegal and carries serious criminal responsibility. I encourage members of applicable law enforcement agencies to find, arrest, and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law ALL lawbreakers from today’s Charlottesville demonstration. And with the high quality of today’s video equipment, it should be relatively simple to find and arrest those perpetrators and begin this applicable criminal prosecution.

To the Media: STOP INTERPRETING THE NEWS AND SIMPLY GIVE US THE NEWS! And include the details about EVERY issue and circumstance in this and any other associated incidents and STOP making your editorial interpretations. For a change, why not call out ALL those involved in violence instead of picking who you want to blame while ignoring the entire truth of this domestic terror incident? Why not put Americans ahead of your corporate and personal agendas?

To ALL politicians: STOP blasting the President for not condemning the violence the way you think he should. You in Congress are so caught up in your personal political agendas you simply ignore the simple truth of all this: people have died because of domestic terrorism on your watch! Seriously Senator Rubio? Is all you can find to say in all this is in your tweet that President Trump needs to condemn it the way you want him to do? Where’s the condemnation for the state of Virginia that obviously even knowing there was probable trouble ahead did not have the necessary law enforcement assets in place to keep Virginia citizens safe today? Where’s the condemnation for ANTIFA who showed up with bats and knives and shields not to protect themselves, but to do what they have proven to be so adept at: starting riots?

Know what? A thought just crossed my mind: I know why the Media and the politicians don’t attack the real culprit here which is racist terrorism. Why? Because calling for total abandonment of racism (which if ever achieved would totally eliminate such domestic terrorism incidents) would take away gory incidents that make good news stories and sell papers and newspaper, television, and radio advertisements. So just keep beating that dead horse. Don’t even suggest holding those responsible who broke the laws of Virginia and the U.S. today with their actions and prosecute them for their crimes. This is America! We don’t (at the federal level) prosecute “all” criminals. For the sake of political expediency, we let those that are politically correct walk away from their crimes facing no consequences.

For that opportunity and “get out of jail card,” it pays to be a Leftist.

Socialism is OK, Right?

Ever talk to anyone from Europe about all the good that comes with Socialism?  Let’s listen to one opinion of Socialism’s success from one who lives in it:

“A school teacher in Denmark makes about $61,000 a year. In Denmark all education is free. Doctors and hospitals are free to use and students get paid to learn. But nothing is ever free. Someone has to pay.

Denmark’s minimum income tax rate is 40%. National sales tax there is 25% plus there are government assessed duties and fees. Gasoline is $10 a gallon. The purchase of a car is taxed by the government at 180% of the selling price. A car that sells for $20,000 in the U.S. costs $40,000 in Denmark.

Denmark is the highest taxed nation in the World — taxed an average of 80% of every dollar earned. Danes have the highest personal debt in the World. Few own cars or homes. Anyone who makes over $80,000 a year pays a personal tax of 68%. Most Danes with higher earning have either found ways to evade the tax or have left the Country, taking companies they own with them.

Denmark’s suicide rate for the past 5 decades has averaged 20.8 per 100,000 people, with a highest rate of 32. The American suicide rate has averaged 11.1 during the same 5 decades and has never exceeded 12.7. More than 11% of adult Danes — supposedly the happiest people in the World — are on antidepressants. Everyone wants the American dream. In Denmark’s Neo-communist economy, no one will ever own or accomplish anything.”

Can’t wait for it here. How about you?

Senator John McCain: Is He Committed to Serve?

Is Arizona Republican Senator John McCain qualified to fill the very serious role of leadership in the Senate that he holds? There certainly is no question that the Senator and former GOP Presidential candidate knows a lot about the in’s and outs of D.C.. He no doubt knows the politics of Washington and who the movers and shakers are. He’s one himself. He knows how to get things done and who holds the keys for doing so. But the former U.S. Navy pilot and Vietnam War P.O.W. has become an obstructionist of sorts since the beginning of the Trump Administration. His negativism about pretty much all things pertaining to the President has been no more obvious than his last minute and demonstrative no-vote cast on the floor of the Senate that doomed the proposed bill to replace Obamacare — the number one reason why conservative voters sent Trump to the White House and Arizona voters sent McCain back to D.C. in November. He promised he would help craft and support the Obamacare replacement that would be affordable and comprehensive for all Americans. In casting that vote, the fiery Arizona Senator confirmed the long held suspicions of may conservatives that he is truly a RINO — “Republican in Name Only.”

Senator McCain’s constant attacks on President Trump are displacing the G.O.P. unity critical for this Administration to fulfill the President’s promises to not only do away with Obamacare and replace it, but develop and implement tax relief for middle class Americans and corporations, an immigration overhaul that would stem the tide of illegal immigration, while closing the southern border, and rebuild foreign policy with America’s allies who chilled to us under Obama. Almost every day and about almost every word the President utters in public, Senator McCain takes issue with. McCain ignores that the New York real estate mogul was the choice of the G.O.P. and American voters to serve as President. McCain should understand that his responsibility as Senator is not to denigrate the President and the things he says, but to help facilitate the agenda put forth by the White House that the majority of Americans supported by electing him, and still do. John McCain is NOT President — he is a Senator from Arizona. And Arizonans re-elected him by a 14% margin because he promised to support the Trump agenda.

Is McCain qualified to be not just a Senator, but a powerful G.O.P Senator? Let me answer that question this way: qualifications to serve in any job for any employer do not only consist of education and skills for that job, mandatory are understanding and support of the goals, objectives, and operating structure of the employer. Job qualifications include the understanding and willingness to carry out the requirements of the employer with one and only one alternative to doing so — termination either voluntarily or involuntarily. Senator McCain should understand that. After all, he is a decorated war hero who knows from experience the importance of the qualifications of those put in a position of authority. Having unqualified people in management in any entity pretty much dooms the success of that entity.

Here’s the big question: Is Senator McCain committed to do whatever it takes to protect American citizens and America’s allies against a tyrannical nuclear or biological attack by Kim Jong-un? It is amazing to even have to ask that question. Why? Senator John McCain has until recently stood firmly in the face of international bullies in all parts of the world. No one ever wondered about his resolve and commitment to do “whatever it takes” to stop dictators like Kim Jong-un. Look at things he said when faced with international problems:

About Syria: “Providing military assistance to the Free Syrian Army and other opposition groups is necessary, but at this late hour, that alone will not be sufficient to stop the slaughter and save innocent lives. The only realistic way to do so is with foreign air power.”

About Iraq: ““Leaders always have choices, and history teaches that hard choices deferred—appeasing Hitler, choosing not to deter Saddam Hussein in 1990, failing to act sooner against Al Qaeda—often bring about the very circumstances we wished to avoid by deferring action, requiring us to react in freedom’s defense. America’s leaders today have a choice. It will determine whether our people live in fear behind walls that have already been breached, as our enemies plan our defeat in time we have given them to do it.”

About Afghanistan: “We should make an immediate statement of our resolve that we no longer intend to tolerate sanction given to our enemies by any nation…Should the Taliban refuse our demand, then they must know that they will be treated as allies of our enemy, and, thus, are themselves our enemies, and will suffer much for their allegiance.”

About Iran: Remember him singing the song he made up spoofing the Beach Boys song, changing the words to “Bomb, Bomb, Iran…..?”

About Libya: “I would arm, train, equip, both from without and from within, forces that would eventually overthrow the governments and install free and democratically-elected governments” (2000). “[I]t does take time, as it did during the period of the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. But we were able to provide them with some weapons and wherewithal to cause the Russians to leave Afghanistan. So we can do it” (2012).

Yet with all of his past firm support of military actions if necessary, he has summarily challenged President Trump on his challenges of the North Korean dictator. Yet his angst directed at the President did not just  begin. He has offered up numerous critiques of actions taken and things said by the President.  Here are some examples:

“Our relationship w/ Russia is at dangerous low,” the senator tweeted on Thursday. “You can thank Putin for attacking our democracy, invading neighbors & threatening our allies.” McCain was referencing Trump’s tweet from earlier Thursday morning, in which the president blamed Congress for taking the relationship to a new low. “Our relationship with Russia is at an all-time & very dangerous low,” Trump tweeted. “You can thank Congress, the same people that can’t even give us HCare!”

John McCain said on Friday that Donald Trump’s administration was in “disarray” and that NATO’s founders would be alarmed by the growing unwillingness to “separate truth from lies.”

The Arizona Republican bashed President Donald Trump’s White House as an “administration in disarray” while attending a security conference in Munich. Then, on NBC’s Meet the Press, he blasted Trump’s attacks on the media, saying “the first thing that dictators do is shut down the press.”

And the latest attack of Trump by the Arizona Senator: “I take exception to the President’s comments because you gotta be able to do what you say you’re gonna do,” the Arizona Senator told KTAR radio Tuesday, in an appearance with his daughter Meghan. ” I don’t think that’s a way you attack an issue and a challenge like this.”

I would love to believe that Senator McCain is all-in for the Conservative agenda and that he really is in support of the President’s agenda approved by voters. I voted for him in 2008, even with a question in my mind about his true conservatism. It seems now that everything President Trump puts forth AND the way he does so initiates an attack by McCain. “IF” the Arizona Senator was truly honest with his commitments to Arizonans in his re-election bid, he would fighting WITH President Trump instead of fighting AGAINST President Trump. Make no mistake about it, he IS fighting against the President. It’s as if he is still angry that he was defeated by Barack Obama in ’08 and that its not fair that Trump was elected when he should have been President. It seems that’s why he stays so angry.

Going about the People’s business is not about political anger or payback. It’s about doing what voters sent him back to D.C. to do. That is NOT about a McCain personal agenda or vendetta against President Trump.

Americans could not have been clearer about the purpose and objectives for the 2016 election votes. Republicans voted for the agenda the President has put forth since being elected. So far John McCain has NOT performed what he promised voters he would do. In fact, he has in many ways fought against those very things. His vote to kill the Senate bill to replace Obamacare will forever be the reminder to Americans of exactly who John McCain is. Sadly, instead of being a strictly conservative senior Senator from Arizona that led his fellow Senators in making things right in the U.S. government, he will carry a negative legacy when he leaves office.

It would be wonderful for the picture of John McCain that all people remember to  be one of a victorious inauguration as President instead of Obama or a standing ovation in the Senate chamber as he cast the vote to pass the Senate bill to replace Obamacare. But instead, the picture most Americans will have burned into their memory is this one:

That’s a Chuck Schumer pat on the back for McCain’s vote to keep Obamacare the law of the land and prop up the healthcare monstrosity that Obama’s Congress rammed down the throats of Americans with nothing but lies and empty promises.

Is John McCain qualified? No doubt he is. But there is no question that he is NOT committed to the citizens of Arizona or other conservative Americans. Unfortunately, just like Barack Obama and several of Senator McCain’s fellow Senators, lies to the American people were plentiful in their quest to get elected.

The John McCain legacy is now etched in history.

North Korea: 25 Years of U.S. Presidential Failure

Failure: utter failure. It was not originally Kim Jong-Un, but it was his father. It was not President Trump but first Bill Clinton, then George W. Bush, then Barack Obama. All three U.S. presidents, each in two-term administrations, have utterly failed at reigning in the existing North Korean dictator. Yet all three have made valiant attempts to dismantle any North Korean nuclear capabilities therefore keeping their Asian neighbors safe along with the United States.

What’s the common denominator in all three failures? Congress. (see “Congress” below) Constitutionally it is a fact that any U.S. war must be approved by Congress. No President possesses unilateral authority to declare war. Members of Congress are quick to bluster in the press about that anytime any President initiates any conversation that could possibly be considered to be “War Talk.” Yet, North Korea apparently is now a nuclear power, and it happened right under the noses of the U.S. Intelligence community who as late as a couple of months ago assured Americans North Korea was several years away from being any nuclear threat. This was published on April 12, 2017:

“North Korea could be capable of launching a nuclear missile attack on the US within four years, according to a former top US presidential adviser. Dennis Wilder, the former special assistant to George W Bush, warned that the world should not underestimate Kim Jong-Un or Donald Trump, amid escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula. The US President has diverted a Navy strike group to the Korean peninsula and is urging China to do more to reign in the North, following the kingdom’s threats to launch a nuclear attack on America. Mr Wilder, a former CIA deputy assistant director for East Asia and the Pacific, told Lateline that North Korea could have a long-range intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching the US west coast within four years. “Such a move would be disastrous, after all a 10-kiloton weapon could kill 100,000 people,” he said. “We believe, and American intelligence estimates say this, that the North Koreans could have such a weapon within the next four years. In other words, during the term of President Trump.”

Then this one day ago from the Washington Post: North Korea has successfully produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit inside its missiles, crossing a key threshold on the path to becoming a full-fledged nuclear power, U.S. intelligence officials have concluded in a confidential assessment. The analysis, completed last month by the Defense Intelligence Agency, comes on the heels of another intelligence assessment that sharply raises the official estimate for the total number of bombs in the communist country’s atomic arsenal. The United States calculated last month that up to 60 nuclear weapons are now controlled by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Some independent experts think the number is much smaller.”

So which is it? Is it going to be four years before N.K. achieves nuclear weapons capability or do they really have nukes now? Before you get comfortable with your answer to that question, remember this: the same U.S. Intelligence experts that in April of this year assured Americans N.K. nuclear weapons capability was still four years away is the source of the news released yesterday that says N.K. is not only nuclear capable, they have 60 nukes ready to tip an ICBM pointed at multiple U.S. cities.

Which one do YOU believe?

If Not Nukes, Then What?

“We are very aware of the dangers to the South Korean people,” one U.S. intelligence official said. “After all, Kim has 10,000 artillery pieces along that border,” he continued. “Seoul is within artillery range of the demilitarized zone. We know that this is a dangerous situation for the South Korean people and the 10 million people there.”

So Kim Jong-Un does not need nukes to terrorize Asia and the world. Intelligence sources say in addition to the long-range artillery already in place, N.K. possesses thousands of tons of chemical weapons, including nerve, blister, blood, and vomiting agents, as well as some biological weapons, including anthrax, smallpox, and cholera, enough to obliterate people in all of South Korea, Japan, and Guam and other Asian countries that total more than 100 million people. And each of those chemical and bio-weapons could easily be delivered via the North Korean missiles already in place, pointed, and ready to fire. By the way: remember their ICBM’s are U.S. target-ready. Some ebola scattered across southern California is not out of the realm of possibility.

The there’s Congress. Let’s be honest: members of Congress relish the thought of their power to control pretty much all things in America. And all of those on the Left cannot stand the fact that this President does not wait for foreign policy positions to be filtered through the do-nothing Congress and speaks to Americas allies and enemies abroad himself. In the latest Trump “tweet-storm,” the President called out the Pajama dictator and warned him with exactly what U.S. capabilities are and that there is no doubt those capabilities will be used “If” he does not back away from his nuclear proliferation. And when Trump tweets, Leftists gripe:

“I take exception to the President’s comments because you’ve got to be sure that you can do what you say you’re going to do,” the Arizona Republican said in an interview with Phoenix radio station KTAR. “The great leaders I’ve seen don’t threaten unless they’re ready to act and I’m not sure President Trump is ready to act,” said Arizona Senator John McCain.

“President Trump is not helping the situation with his bombastic comments,” California Sen. Dianne Feinstein said in a statement.

New York Rep. Eliot Engel, the top Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said Trump had undermined US credibility “by drawing an absurd red line.” “Make no mistake: North Korea is a real threat, but the President’s unhinged reaction suggests he might consider using American nuclear weapons in response to a nasty comment from a North Korean despot,” Engel said.
And Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin, the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, compared Trump’s comments to rhetoric that often comes out of Pyongyang. “President Trump’s comments were not helpful and once again show that he lacks the temperament and judgment to deal with the serious crisis the United States confronts,” Cardin said. “We should not be engaging in the same kind of bluster and provocative statements as North Korea about nuclear war.”
Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York similarly called out Trump’s comments — referring to them as “reckless.”
“We need to be firm and deliberate with North Korea, but reckless rhetoric is not a strategy to keep America safe,” Schumer said in a statement issued Tuesday.
Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) tweeted on Tuesday saying Trump’s remarks were “unwise” and that nominees for “Ambassador to South Korea, Secretary for East Asia Affairs, and Secretary for Asian Pacific Security Affairs should be sent to the Senate now.“We need professionals guiding this process. We learned from our wars in the Middle East- bad decisions can make a terrible situation worse.”

Congress is dead wrong….period. It seems that they pretty much stand in a circle preparing the talking points they are all to use when speaking to Americans. I’m sorry, but Americans do NOT feel that Congress is getting the job done. Intelligence? Give me a break! It’s a joke to believe the accuracy of the “intelligence” coming from those departments who days ago promised North Korea’s nuclear program was 4 years away, then yesterday said they have 60 nukes stuck in the noses of ICBM’s pointed at the U.S.! “Intelligence?” It should be “Insanity!”

McCain, Feinstein, Engel, Cardin, Schumer, Schatz, and other members of Congress need to do one of two things: give Americans YOUR plan for handling North Korea, or shut up and listen to President Trump. Your “Old” plan has been to initiate sanctions and then to sit back and believe the Pajama dictator is going to fall in line with the demands of Congress and the UN. Let’s just wait until innocent South Koreans and Japanese citizens awaken tomorrow morning in the midst of biological warfare, massive artillery devastation, or even possible nuclear fallout, not to mention San Franciscans running for bomb shelters. Your plan didn’t work in the Clinton Administration, the Bush or Obama Administrations. What makes you think it will work now?

Insanity defined: Doing the same things over and over while expecting different results.

The Insanity of Identity Politics

I don’t remember the first time I felt a sinking feeling when I heard someone speak of “guys like me” as “white males.” Being male was a tremendous indictment. Remember the Billie Jean King tennis match against Bobby Riggs that was touted as the “Battle of the Sexes?” That’s the first time I realized there was an American culture battle against males. But now it’s “white males?”

Over time, I learned that, to a certain set of people, there was something positively wrong with being white. “We” were the great privileged oppressors of history. And “we” were the great privileged oppressors of the present. Since the introduction to me of how evil “white males” are in the World today, I have learned to know that in politics, we are no longer Democrats, Republicans, Independents, or Libertarians. No, those labels are long gone. The principle categories for us are far more vast and varied and include a variety of labels that are mind-boggling. There are so many labels that “experts” have come up with a name for the science of labeling us in even smaller subsets of characteristics. Oh no: being a woman, a man, a white or “minority” woman or man is passe. The labeling process is now so sophisticated and complicated it has been labeled itself: Identity politics.

Identity politics, also called identitarian politics, refers to political positions based on the interests and perspectives of social groups with which people identify. Identity politics includes the ways in which people’s politics may be shaped by aspects of their identity through loosely correlated social organizations. Examples include social organizations based on age, religion, social class or caste, culture, dialect, disability, education, ethnicity, language, nationality, sex, gender identity, generation, occupation, profession, race, political party affiliation, sexual orientation, settlement, urban and rural habitation, and veteran status. Not all members of any given group are involved in identity politics.

So, no longer can I be just a guy from Louisiana. Now to be politically correct I must wear a label to fit the parameters of politically correct Identity politics. I instead am a 64 year old Evangelical, Middle Class, English speaking, college educated, white male, business owner who is a heterosexual registered Independent urban citizen who did not serve in the military. (I doubt my Mom and Dad thought much about aspirations for me to achieve the majority of those labels!)

Identity politics is now so prevalent in American society and has become such a damaging factor that it while not always top of mind for people as inter-relation with others occurs, has changed the way Americans think about pretty much everything. Think about this: everything in our lives revolves around PEOPLE who are in our lives. It does not matter where we go, what we do, or even if we stay locked up inside our homes, PEOPLE are directly involved in all of this. And in the atmosphere of Identity politics, labels mean everyone has a mental perspective of everyone else, even though there is a good chance whatever label is given will be incorrect.

This “insanity” is why so many on the Left have found it somewhat easy to pass their ideals along to those who comprise small (and even large) minority groups who intrinsically experience alienation in varying ways simply because of what label has been placed on them. The political correctness that has been demanded for decades has become the fuel of Identity politics and has now been exposed as the political scourge of this century. And we have only seen the beginning.

For a moment just think this through: no longer are political inclinations simply a product of the thoughts and ideals possessed by a voter that shape who that voter is and who they align themselves with regarding each political issue. Sure, that may be sufficient for the voter, but Identity politics ideologues demand much more. No longer can one simply “think” through social and political issues and make choices, now those choices are pretty much made for them.

Remember in yesterday’s story about Socialism I stated that in a true Socialist state there must be someone who is empowered to be the ultimate arbiter for all things? The same holds true in Identity politics — someone has to pull the trigger. Through history we’ve seen it happen again and again: Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Hirohito, FDR, JFK, Churchill, and that list goes on and on of people who have on a world stage accepted authority of Identity politics. In almost every case for them, something desperate among their constituents initiated the action that gave them that permission. In most cases those desperate things came through wars or other horrors within their countries.

Today, however, there are major differences. With the exception of the dictators in that group who simply get their “permission” to structure Identity politics from taking it, in the cultures and societies in which others live, they receive that permission from those around them: citizens, voters, heads of corporations, politicians, etc. The main point is that they are “given” that permission rather than simply taking it. So we enter the 21st Century and how Identity politics have changed.

“Permission” that was historically granted in other societies other than the totalitarian examples listed above is now simply demanded and assumed rather than given and/or earned. There is the rub: there IS no permission. No longer  do persons have the right and ability to determine their political identity simply because of their education, lifestyles, spiritual moralities, and personal preferences. It is almost as if today there really are thought police who read minds and then assume authority to determine who people really are. And think deeply about what I am about to say: “While no one has the anointing, permission, right or obligation to determine political identities, there are plenty who step up to claim the authority for that and do so anyway.”

Let’s end this with a perfect example: it matters not what your opinion of abortion is today. That issue is probably the most controversial issue in the U.S. political structure today: Pro Life or Right to Life. While no one in Identity politics has any permission to label anybody, if/when you verbalize your support or your angst of abortion, Identity politicians immediately determine which basket you fit in. They then — without even thinking about it — tag you with all of the attributes and thought processes that they believe go along with that position. If you are a white Southern male, not only are you racist, you are a right-wing Pro Life Republican who simply has to be homophobic, Islamaphobic, xenophobic, and Southern Baptist.

Have you ever been called a racist? Probably. Have you ever countered that tag by saying or thinking, “How could someone call me a racist who doesn’t know me, my life, my family, my business, who my friends are and with whom I socialize? They cannot possibly know if I’m racist.” It happens every day. The bottom line: it does NOT matter what or who you really are, all that matters in Identity politics is the label that someone puts on you even without knowing anything about you.

Who are the purveyors of Identity politics labels? Anyone can take that role, but most often those on the extreme Left are the ones that do. What qualifies them for that role? Nothing. But remember this: the Left does not need for anything they say or feel or think to be real for them to say, feel, or think. Because their fundamental starting point is that they are smarter than anyone, know better what is best for people better than anyone else, and that because of their superiority and far advanced intelligence, they have the anointing to be the purveyors of Identity politics labels.

Keep this in mind when you watch Democrat press conferences or interviews in which they make the most outlandish and unsubstantiated allegations against Republicans. Ever wonder why so many liberals cried when Hillary lost or how they could be so nasty even now to President Trump and those who support him? It’s because they have been given permission to do that. They are simply acting out their role.

I’ll end by pointing something out: those on the Left in the media honestly feel they have something akin to Divine permission to label you and everyone else. And all thoses time when you are simply tempted to throw a soft drink bottle at your television when watching an interview or a CNN talk show host sarcastically make fun of Ivanka or Melania or VP Pence or some other Conservative, remember why they do it: It’s their role in this political system to determine for you who you are and where you fit. It’s simply because of Identity politics and they have permission to do so….or think they do.
