We are wrapping up one of the most intense weeks of happenings since the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol. Everything seems to be in play: White House chaos, misinformation, and authoritarianism coming from this President, his rampant disregard for laws that regulate immigration, the rampant increase in misinformation from the experts regarding everything about COVID-19, and spending measures that if all are passed and signed into law could bankrupt the U.S. Certainly, from all of this, we can easily grab a dozen or so of the biggest issues of the week to share here! - We all know the price of gasoline has risen dramatically during the Biden Administration. Based upon the price per gallon of gas in my town on Election Day 2020, it’s $1.00 higher today. Many Democrats scoff at the concern of the dramatic price changes, saying, “Gas prices are cyclical, and they always go up during the Summer.” The same folks said it about going into the Thanksgiving/Christmas time of year as well. - Long before he became president, President Biden was well-known for being something of a “storyteller.” By that, I mean he has a fetish for embellishing stories he tells. - My how the mighty have fallen! Just months ago, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was being touted by every major media outlet as the Democrat who could beat Donald Trump back in the 2020 election. Cuomo won an Emmy Award for his “infamous” success at managing the Coronavirus pandemic in his state. Things are a tad different now for the NY Governor. - The massive power and reach of the Mexican underworld are uncanny. Drug and human trafficking cartels have perfected their trade using the United States as their primary market for both of those products. Of course, in both of these controversial enterprises, gun violence is common. I always thought Mexico was responsible for allowing it to happen! It looks like the Mexican government disagrees on that point. Mexico is filing lawsuits against American gun manufacturers for their alleged support of putting guns in the hands of these violent gang members, which has ramped up gun violence in Mexico! - Biden and his fellow Democrats are singing the song of Victory this weekend. Employment numbers released on Friday were unexpectedly better than expected. The President and his minions will spend this weekend hawking self-praises on every Sunday talk show about Biden fulfilling his promise to “Build Back Better.” Though the numbers are better, Biden wants Americans to forget that the “reference” numbers they are comparing these with were happening in the midst of a pandemic, massive government lockdowns, and the slowest U.S. economy in many decades. - One has no difficulty determining the positions taken by Stacey Abrams and Michelle Obama on the HR-1 Bill passed in the House but is now languishing at the Senate. That’s the Pelosi bill that will snatch ALL federal elections away from the states to be run exclusively by the Federal Government if passed and signed into law. Abrams, who ran unsuccessfully for Governor in Georgia, has joined with the former First Lady touting the “necessity” of the bill becoming law. - You probably heard that U.S. healthcare insurers made record profits during 2020: actually billions of dollars. - One of Biden’s biggest and most costly blunders as President was his action taken on Inauguration Day to terminate (asap) the “Remain in Mexico” policy put in place by President Trump. What did it do? It legitimizes the immediate removal from U.S. soil of any illegal immigrants crossing the Southern border based on the number of unknown infected illegals who came across the border into the United States. - Who can ever forget the name “David Axelrod.” During the Clinton and Biden Administrations, Axelrod was key in organizing the backbone and skeleton of both Democrat president’s leadership structures. Though leaving government service, Axelrod has remained “plugged into” all that happens in the Potomac Valley. He does a streaming talk show and, just as he did when advising presidents, NEVER stops giving his thoughts about EVERYTHING political and always from the perspective of the “hard” left. His latest target is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for his recent COVID-19 regulations and what Axelrod perceives as imminent severe consequences for many Floridians. - Can you believe the massive surge of pressure from Democrats in government and others insisting that every American get the COVID-19 vaccination? It’s been very puzzling as to their insistence. I question their purposes because COVID-19 deaths are nowhere close to numbers that should cause panic — even if the “official” numbers the CDC gives to us have been questioned for accuracy from the beginning. Yet Democrats, and the President, not only continue with their demands but are getting downright mean and nasty. All this should be for naught, however. How so?
