Saturday Bullet Points: January 12, 2024

The U.S. House of Representatives is back in D.C. after their extended Christmas break. One would expect our Representatives to have hit the ground running, re-charged, and ready to tackle the new year with gusto. They DID tackle the New Year. Gusto wasn’t anywhere to be seen. It appeared to be the “same song but the second verse.”

We don’t need that. We need those 535 to roll up their sleeves and get the plethora of legislative items that are piling higher day after day into the queue, debated, amended, and passed into law. It’s just the second week of the year, and we’re already six months behind!

Yes, there’s much controversy in legislation. Yes, there’s plenty of animus between parties. Nothing’s new there. Wouldn’t it be a wondrous event if they could, in just one month, tackle the necessities in legislation that must be implemented without getting stuck on a single political issue? Sadly, though, I doubt that’ll happen.

So, what DID happen this past week? Let’s look at this week’s Bullet Points. Maybe we can glean a win or two for the American people.

Bullet Points

• A large number of lawmakers are pressuring the Biden Administration for the details of how Ukraine spent the considerable dollars U.S. taxpayers have sent to Ukraine for their war with Russia. It’s not just cash that we’ve given, but extensive military weapons and supplies. Our military aid totals just over $44 billion. We’ve sent 39,139 weapons for the war against Ukraine. Lawmakers are now demanding the details of how Ukraine has spent those U.S. dollars. Those weapons cost the U.S. more than $1.6 billion. Just over $1 billion worth of those weapons have been accounted for! President Biden wants to “quickly” send another $100 billion. Do you think that’s going to happen anytime soon? • A soccer game that was scheduled in Tel Aviv almost became a slaughter. Israeli Police seized a massive amount of weapons and explosives in advance of that game that was going to be used to initiate maiming and killing. Soccer wasn’t part of the plan for those people with the weaponry. The 29,400 who were planning to watch soccer were saved when the military hardware was discovered just before the game. 89 people are in custody! For complete details, click on this link:
• In the past few years, more and more Americans have learned that the United Nations does NOT represent (in most ways) the values of the United States. Several of their operations consistently work against the positions held by the United States. The W.H.O. (World Health Organization) is the most visible (and controversial) of the UN’s programs. Every day, the W.H.O. continues its quest to obtain total authority over the major health issues around the World. The W.H.O. is now picking Trans Activists to set “Global Child-rearing rules.” This is happening while half the panel chosen has medical backgrounds! For complete details, click on this link:
• It looks like reality is setting in on President Biden’s “Green New Flop!” The use of EVs in regular daily life just does not work. The horror stories detailing Americans using EVs to travel any at all simply don’t work out. It’s so outrageous that car rental companies are backing away from using electric vehicles in their fleets. Why? • The U.S. Government is stealthily finding ways to stifle Americans’ free speech rights. Agencies like the FBI are quietly scaring American citizens to death by the actions the agency is taking to arrest and prosecute Americans for exercising any number of our Constitutional rights. It’s so pervasive that many Americans refuse even to discuss things like the “possibility” of voter fraud that “allegedly” happened in several recent elections. • Most Americans simply assume that foundations across the nation or not-for-profit operations and, therefore, must be doing good things for people around the U.S. In most cases, that’s exactly what they’re doing. However, more often than ever before, we’re hearing that these tax-exempt organizations are fulfilling the purposes of those “behind” these foundations and are not what Americans think they are. • I’m sick of Democrats and other leftists continually spouting that “our democracy is under siege” and that “Donald Trump if he’s elected President, will destroy our democracy.” Even people at the top of our government don’t understand — or they DO understand but don’t want Americans to understand — our nation is NOT a democracy! I’ve explained this over and over and over. Our forefathers made clear that our government was established to be a representative republic. Recognize this line: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America…and “to the Republic for which it stands….” The United States is a Republic, not a democracy! • The differences between Democrats and Republicans sound really different. But when one digs deep and honestly compares the policies of both parties, there is one vast difference that will probably never be reconciled. What is it? Taxes. Those Trump tax cuts of 2017 are set to expire in 2025. If Donald Trump is elected President, you can bet those tax cuts will be rolled over and continue. Joe Biden, on the other hand, says he will keep those cuts for people making $400,000 or less. But he will RAISE taxes on those “evil billionaires that must pay their fair share.” Trump’s tax cuts actually performed just as planned. Democrats cried, claiming if those tax cuts happened, we’d not be able to fund all our programs. Tax revenues set records, even with the tax cuts. That simply proves that capitalism, when allowed to “do its stuff,” creates more revenue for the government. However, Democrats have never seen a dollar they didn’t want to spend.
