Saturday Bullet Points: April 18, 2026

Though the Conflict with Iran dominated the news daily this past week, it was not the only important action that affected the U.S. and our “friends” or our “enemies.”

In today’s Bullet Points, we highlight the happenings we felt were most important for you to get the latest facts about them. Yes, you may disagree with one or two of them, though they are in our top ten choices. That’s OK! Just know for certain, this past week was one of the busiest weeks in recent memory. And there are plenty of examples we’ll share with you.

Of course, there are other important happenings during the week. We simply did not include them! We’ll get ’em next time…

Let’s get started.

Bullet Points

  • An unusual occurrence showed up during the week. The most recent U.S. Supreme Court Justice publicly ridiculed the other Justices who did not join her in her latest opinions on important cases. The Biden appointee used a Yale Law School speech to target the conservative majority’s shadow docket practices.
  • After President Trump’s rapid takeover of Venezuela’s operations, he quickly mentioned the possibility of doing the same thing in Cuba. Nothing about doing so has been publicly mentioned by the White House. However, anonymous rumors claim the Pentagon is planning a Cuba invasion.
  • The uproar by Americans over the fallout from the Democrats’ longest government shutdown in history is reaching desperation levels. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) has presented a bill that, if passed, would prohibit senators from getting paid until everyone else in the government gets paid:
  •  Happenings through every part of the conflict with Iran are looking to be turning remarkably in favor of the U.S. Few Americans know that President Trump has actually been speaking daily himself with the Iranian leaders. Word coming from those intense conversations is that Iran has agreed to terminate their nuclear program!
  • Apparently, the President’s meetings with the Iranian leaders are far enough along to resolve the long-standing demands of our President. Trump has consistently made clear that their enriched uranium MUST go from Iran to the U.S. when an agreement is made. Trump said Friday Iran has agreed to hand over their “Nuclear Dust,” which is what they have named that uranium.
  • Trump announced the Straight of Hormuz is open….fully open. Is there a real, confirmed agreement to open it or is this another lie the Iranians are known to use to buy time in negotiations?
  • Sanctuary City New York has refused to accept an ICE detainer on an illegal alien charged with arson that killed four, including a 3-year-old child!
  • Democrats thought they found the perfect conservative archetype to dupe voters. Turns out he’s awful just like them!

  • Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) finds herself back in the bullseye of alleged fraud. The lawmaker is facing demands to explain how her net worth, as reported in the financial disclosure forms every member of Congress files annually, jumped from virtually zero to millions in a single year.
  • Millions of Americans (and millions more of those of our allies) are wondering why Donald Trump, during the first four months of this year, took control of Venezuela, started a joint military slaughter — with Israel in tow — of the nation of Iran. Trump never takes such actions without a well-planned project objective that few know about before the actions are well underway. Our friends at Sky News in Australia have put the pieces together and tell us what the long-term plan for President Trump must be:
