Few will argue that racism has been one of, if not “the,” most egregious agitators in U.S. history. It has throughout our 260 years destroyed families, destroyed towns and cities, has started wars (that were wars), and inflated crime statistics while it lays bare those who choose to allow it to control their lives.
Abraham Lincoln started the Civil War to free slaves and abolish slavery. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other Civil Rights leaders marched, dodged physical violence as best as possible, and protested all of the tools of slavery during the ’60s, 70’s, 80’s and continue through today. Laws were passed, segregation was obliterated “legally” across the nation, “equal justice under the law” was espoused by all who recognized racism’s devastation.
But racism is still among us.
But There’s Hope!
Social Justice Warriors like New York Mayor Bill de Blasio have taken up the challenge to obliterate racism. How? He started his war this past week in New York schools.
The New York City mayor announced sweeping changes to the way in the city’s top public schools consider applicants in an attempt to diversify, or as some unhinged proponents of his plan put it, “desegregate” these schools. Essentially, admissions will focus less on grades and more on skin color.
The dirty little secret of his proposal is that it is Asian students, not white students, who dominate admissions to these schools and who will bear the brunt of de Blasio’s abject racism. He’s a leader in this army against discrimination in the Big Apple.
That’s right: a new “army” of Americans who have taken as their sole cause the eradication of racism permanently from our country. How are they doing it? By using a tool that in ITSELF is as dangerous as is racism: Elitism.
Elitism is the belief or notion that individuals who form an elite — a select group of people perceived as having an intrinsic quality, high intellect, wealth, special skills, or experience — are more likely to be constructive to society as a whole, and therefore deserve influence or authority more significant than that of others. The term Elitism may be used to describe a situation in which power is concentrated in the hands of a limited number of people.
And those in the U.S. who number among these social justice warriors claim to have the sole power (and the exclusive weaponry in hand) to eradicate racism. No place is this “Elitism” better illustrated than in affluent schools — and not just Ivy League Universities. Many of today’s educators at all levels have accepted the “anointing” of some divine ability to determine what and who IS racist and how to “fix” it. FOX News gave us a perfect example:
One of NYC’s poshest private schools is in an uproar over an anti-racist manifesto signed by dozens of faculty members with a comprehensive list of demands.
The Dalton School — which boasts stars Anderson Cooper, Christian Slater, and Claire Danes as alumni — is wrestling with eight pages of “proposals” to overhaul the staffing, curriculum, and treatment of black students. Yearly tuition for grades K-12 at the Upper East Side institution is $54,180 a year.
The proposals grew out of the George Floyd police-brutality protests and long-simmering student complaints of racism at the prestigious school. But some parents say the backlash has become oppressive.
“My ancestors experienced white supremacy by being slaughtered,” a Jewish parent told The Post. “The idea that being white automatically means you are privileged or a white supremacist is ridiculous. My child comes from people who had to fight for everything they got.
“It’s just about skin color now.”
This proves that America’s social engineers have gotten it wrong for generations. Racism happens only because rich people have failed to use the power they’ve possessed all along to “level the playing field” in the nation. It’s a simple fix: Elitists keep the resources to straighten all of our social ills. It’s not racial disparity that is our number one social issue and great divider. It’s that white Elitists have shirked the mandate to “fix” racism, and they could do so all along.
The wide-ranging faculty demands include:
- Hiring 12 full-time diversity officers and multiple psychologists to support students “coping with race-based traumatic stress.”
- Assigning a staffer dedicated to black students who have “complaints or face disciplinary action” and a full-time advocate to help black kids “navigate a predominantly white institution.”
- Paying the student debt of black staffers upon hiring them.
- Requiring courses that focus on “Black liberation” and “challenges to white supremacy.”
- Compensating any student of color who appears in Dalton promotional material.
- Abolishing high-level academic courses by 2023 if the performance of black students is not on par with non-blacks.
- Requiring “anti-racism” statements from all staffers.
- Overhauling the entire curriculum, reading lists, and student plays to reflect diversity and social justice themes.
- Divesting from companies that “criminalize or dehumanize” black people, including private prisons and tech firms that manufacture police equipment or weapons.
- Donating 50 percent of all fundraising dollars to NYC public schools if Dalton is not representative of the city regarding gender, race, socioeconomic background, and immigration status by 2025.
Dalton officials said the document is just “a set of thought-starters created last summer by a group of faculty and staff responding to Dalton’s commitment to becoming an anti-racist institution.
One NYC insider piped up about the Dalton claim: “This isn’t just Dalton, but one of the most extreme examples. There’s ritualistic self-abasement these private schools feel they have to subject themselves to.”
Sources said that Dalton kids were made to watch a PBS video called Being 12, in which “white kids are shamed for the sin of their skin color and told they are complicit in perpetuating racism.”
A Dalton fourth-grade play featured a role for a “Racist Cop,” the insider said, adding that the faculty petition includes a demand that every school play has anti-racist narratives. “I’m told even ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ is out these days. It’s a white man trying to save a black man. Can’t have that sort of racial paternalizing.”
Here’s how this “rich school” Elitism is played out: “The rich parents play the game. They go along with every progressive fad conjured up by the administration and faculty. Many embrace them.”
But the Dalton parent who spoke up predicted that 30 to 40 percent of parents of kids in the Class of 2025 would pull them out of the school and transfer them due to the manifesto.
Making the situation tenser, some Dalton parents are fuming over the school’s resistance to reopening classrooms since the COVID-19 outbreak, remaining fully remote. In contrast, other private and public schools have resumed some or all in-person instruction.
“We are, in short, frustrated and confused and better hope to understand the school’s thought processes behind the virtual model it has adopted,” a group of parents describing themselves as physicians wrote in a letter to head of school Jim Best, Bloomberg reported in early October.
A petition signed by more than 70 lower-school parents asked for the return of on-campus classes, Bloomberg reported. “Zoom-school is not Dalton,” it said.
But that petition was seen by some as racist because faculty of color were more likely to live in the outer boroughs or neighborhoods with high rates of COVID-19!
The Cure
So what’s the cure for Racism? In a $50,000+ per year “rich-kid” New York City private school, it’s Elitism. These rich parents have discovered not that THEY are in any way a problem in this social and economic and skin color conundrum. THEY have the answer: Whiteness. Yep, Whiteness has split the nation for 260 years. And if there is ever going to be universal harmony among Americans, white people will be forced to deal with the reason for racism: it’s because a bunch of people are white! And only white people can be racist.
No, Elitism and Elitist are NOT the problem. In fact, THEY are the ones that found the answer. And because they discovered the source for racism, they certainly are the ones anointed to eliminate it.
Before you spit out a mouthful of coffee laughing, consider this:
By the definition of Elitism (quoted above), it results when people who fit that class recognize that they are the enlightened ones and authorized to prove it to all those in their world. They act elite: they buy elite real estate, drive elite vehicles, vacation in elite spots all over the globe, brag constantly about all they have and who they are. They do so to prove to those in their world they are worthy and empowered as are NO others!
Recognizing all this does NOT fix it. These elites must set straight everyone in their world. The fundamental truth they must sell: “If you’re white, you’re controlled by Whiteness. And you MUST rely on us to cure that disease.”
What does that process look like? Look at Dalton in NYC. Then look at what is being taught in our classrooms today across the nation — not only in Ivy League universities, private schools and college prep institutions, but in our public elementary, middle, and high schools.
It’s not just in our education institutions. It permeates our news and social media worlds. It controls our government. Look at Hollywood! Elitism is everywhere, and so too is Whiteness!
As you puzzle through this story during your day today, let your mind run wild with thoughts of how this Elitism is playing out in your world. If you’re white, you’ll probably (if you haven’t already) ask yourself if you’re guilty of what the Dalton inner circle are certain is your crime. Your Whiteness has cursed you to a world of racism from which only Elitists can save you. You MUST listen to them; you MUST believe all they say is true; you MUST change all the things in your life they tell you are incorrigible evidence of your racism; you have NO hope of redemption unless you grab your very own cat-o’-nine-tails to whip and flagellate your back three times a die to punish yourself for being white.
What else is necessary to “cure” your Whiteness? I don’t know — they haven’t said yet. The Dalton Manifesto is only eight pages. I’m sure it’s only Part I. We’ll get the remainder when they know we need it.
Don’t you get it? There’s no truth in this nightmare. It was concocted for the same reason we are living in a world controlled by those who weaponized a pandemic that has put millions out of work, out of school, and closed hundreds of thousands of businesses, many which are gone forever. “If you don’t stay at home, not only are you going to die, you’ll kill everyone you breathe toward!”
Why do we let that happen? We’ve given up control of our lives to others that convinced you and I THEY are Elites. Because they ARE who they say they are, we must believe them and we must do as told.
Have you done that because you’re White or because you are afflicted with Whiteness? No, if you’ve done it is because you chose to do it. And choosing to do what others say to do has NOTHING to do with Whiteness or racism. It comes from listening to and believing what we are told by people we have categorized as Elitists and therefore are worthy of our benign support for all they say.
Summary
You MUST take control of your life. You MUST center your mind and guide those in your family back toward the life objectives which YOU in tandem with those family members determine are best for you all.
We ALL must take control of the marketplace of ideas we choose to absorb daily. What are the sources of information to which we turn? Who do we consider worthy of our resources? What end results are we looking to achieve on our own. Are those OUR objectives or objectives of others?
I respected my father when I was a kid. He was a master at numerous things: a handyman, builder, problem solver, organizer, and a great story teller. Much of those elements from his life I wanted in mine.
I couldn’t paint a blank wall and make it look correct, yet alone build a wall! My wife will confirm I am no handyman. When we have moved to a new house multiple times in the 45 years of marriage, she makes me leave and take the kids while she organizes the move and instructs the movers. I go NUTS trying to operate a move and drive her MORE nuts.
But I have things in my life I’ve developed through choices I made which my father never had. Am I a failure because I cannot paint or build or tell stories or organize meetings? Certainly not. And I’m not evil just because I’m different from him.
Why have we allowed others to place a value our lives, our thoughts and ideas, and to determine what niche in which we should live? Why have we left some convince us of our evilness because of our skin color alone?
Racism is everywhere. Whiteness is in all of us that are white. Evil surrounds us just as good surrounds us. Is a person someone called a racist a racist just because they’ve been labeled such? Is a person evil because someone says so? That’s the world in which Elitists live. Elitism controls every aspect of their lives and therefore it should control your life, too.
Take a gander every day at those in your world with whom you interface. Determine where they are in their thinking, not to change anything about you, but to best know how to interface with them in correct terms.
In no circumstances be anyone who you are not!
I’m an old white guy. I’m NOT evil because I’m white. I can’t control that. What I can control is how I act in my life and how I act regarding others. It’s those choices which we consciously make that determine our value in our worlds, not the opinions of others.
We determined long ago to teach our children who they really are, who we are, and what are our values. We gave the three of them a mandate to be who they choose to be. All three are good people with good lives, good values, and are masters regarding relationships with others. We “showed” them those values. “They” chose those. No one mandated they had to make those choices.
Our world has too many who have chosen to voluntarily live in the same world as do those Dalton Elitist parents in New York. I cannot fathom how out of control their lives must be.
Think about those students at Dalton that live in that environment! Imagine being a non-white kid there. But imagine being a white student at Dalton and imagine how you are daily berated for being evil just because of your skin color.
I thought we ended all that with the Civil War.
