Saturday Bullet Points: April 5, 2025

We’re in a “wild and woolly” world right now! Who knows what’s going to happen from day to day right now? For that matter, who knows what will happen minute to minute right now!?

The U.S. economy will change daily in the upcoming days, weeks, and months. Will it be for the better, or will it put our economy in the tank? These and many other questions will pop up daily while our economic “experts” pontificate to Americans about what will happen. If it’s a typical news approach to controversial policies from the presidential administration, we can expect to read, watch, and hear continuous claims of, “The sky is falling! The sky is falling!” The fear mongers will have a field day! Meanwhile, those who understand how tariffs function will be calm, knowing that the effects of tariffs- good and bad- do not get entrenched for days, weeks, and even months. That means we must be prepared for the continual screaming from leftists who will use this to attack conservatives nonstop.

We had better be prepared for a month or so of rank chaos as the legacy media will ramp up their attacks on President Trump.

In the meantime, let’s look at the week’s top stories. Maybe we can find a few that made today’s list because they were good!

Bullet Points

  • Have you noticed that Democrat leaders in Congress have been mostly quiet since the election and Donald Trump’s inauguration? Of course, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was sent to the back of the bus when Republicans took over the majority in the Senate. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was already the Minority Leader in the House of Representatives. That being said, they have both been suspiciously silent on most of our important legislative issues. They may be waiting for the “handwriting on the wall.” Jeffries had already been flooded with bad news as the midterm elections are looming next year. Because of the election results from November, Democrat House members are ditching their plans to run to keep their seats and planning instead to run for the prestigious Senate seats in their states. It’s bad! How bad is it for House Democrats and their leader? For complete details, click on this link:
  • The battle between Ivy League universities and the White House has reached epic heights. The Trump Administration already “popped” Columbia University for $400 million in grants because of their constant allowing campus students to participate in continuous political attacks on Jewish students. It was made worse over and over as non-student individuals and groups became antisemitic activists and joined protests on campus that continually became violent. Other universities are now finding themselves also as targets for their antisemitic public political positions, the latest of which is Brown University. They’re facing the freezing of $510 million of grant money! For complete details, click on this link:
  • Most Americans have been shocked to see the Trump Administration aggressively remove hundreds of gang members who are illegally living in the U.S. Though Trump made the removal of the illegal elements who had been allowed in the millions to come into our nation during the Biden Administration, Trump after inauguration made keeping that campaign promise to Americans job #1. However, one mistake was made by sending one such immigrant with several hundred others to El Salvador to the top security prison. One of those sent to El Salvador was sent by mistake. And a U.S. District Judge ruled that the administration must return him to the U.S. immediately. For complete details, click on this link:
  • While Americans in horror watch the violence in U.S. cities grow in number and intensity, those actions are racing across the nation, especially in major cities. And they’re not all about illegal immigration. One pro-life activist was recently brutally assaulted during a street interview about abortion. A video clip captured pro-life influencer Savannah Craven Antao getting hit in the face by her interview subject while asking her questions about abortion and unborn children. One unnamed woman debated with the activist for a few seconds before the assault began. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Most Americans are shocked to watch how an organized attack against President Trump for his actions with DODGE to find horrors that have been hiding from us all that prove without question our government in multiple ways has been wasting billions of dollars in almost every department and has been doing so for years. Trump’s actions have been immediate and have shocked the nation and the whole World. Several leftist federal district judges have become activists and have taken actions against the president’s actions in egregious fashion. The judicial actions are NOT based upon the U.S. Constitution. The judges are defying the Rule of Law! How can this be stopped? Glenn Beck gave us two options that must be used to stop this insanity as soon as possible:

  • One high school junior in Texas went to a track meet this week as an MVP athlete, doing what he loved with his high school friends. Austin Metcalf was brutally stabbed in the chest after a brief verbal altercation with a boy at the track meet. Metcalf died on the school site as a result. The incident shocked those attending the athletic event. And the story has raced through Texas and across the nation. Metcalf, who had a twin brother also at the meet, held is brother as his brother died from the attack. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Many Americans now watch televised sessions of Congress to see firsthand how lawmakers vote on specific issues. Often, lawmakers in these hearings get pretty heated as political issues become more complicated. Sometimes, anger flares, and nasty allegations are made against other lawmakers and witnesses. Investigative journalist Matt Taibbi was in such a hearing to testify at a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee hearing on Tuesday. Taibbi countered the narrative slung by former Biden Disinformation Governance Board czar Nina Jankowicz. What she said in that committee, as vile as it was, could not become a possible legal issue for her because of her protections under the Speech and Debate Clause of the Constitution. That protects lawmakers who sometimes get out of line and say things in moments of conflict. However, she made the mistake of posting the video of her remarks and the hearing transcript on her congressional page! She wasn’t through. She shared her attack on Taibbi on X, where she made multiple accusations against him. Those actions are not protected because they were “outside official actions taken in a Congressional hearing.” Taibbi filed a $10 million lawsuit against her on Thursday! But it gets deeper. • Donald Trump and Elon Musk find themselves in the bullseye of 400,000 protestors who have signed up across the nation to participate in massive rallies titled “Hands Off!” These are happening right now—today, Saturday! The protests are in opposition to the Trump administration and its allies, with leaders vowing to stand up and push back against the “most brazen power grab in modern history.” Want to get all the “dirty” details about their plans? • Remember the Trump administration’s crackdown on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at the beginning of Chapter Two of his presidency? On Friday, the Supreme Court issued an opinion that President Trump can cancel $65 million in education grants that were part of that Trump crackdown. That ruling lifts a temporary restraining order from a federal judge in Boston. However, the Court has allowed litigation to continue. There’s much more to the case. • The most costly legal settlement in Los Angeles County history was finalized this week. The $4 billion settlement against the County was for massive sexual abuse of every kind committed at LA County juvenile facilities back to 1958. Thousands of children were involved in these horrors of every type of sexual abuse. The details are haunting and shock the senses of most people, especially because of the children’s horrible experiences:

  • Happenings behind the scenes in the 2024 election and the blows sustained by the Democrat Party have created strained relationships among some of the highest-profile Democrats, many of whom are struggling to accept the election results. It gets worse, though. Many of these prominent Democrats are “heading for the hills.” Even former President Barack Obama has distanced himself from the entire Democratic Party! A recently published book, “Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House,” claims that Obama was NEVER a Democrat Party loyalist. Allegations made in the book might explain what Americans have noticed about Barack’s actions after the election. He seems distant and no longer connected as he always has to his party. • Do you remember how controversial the social app TikTok first stole the attention of millions of young Americans? Of course, the country behind the scenes was fingered as a culprit who was at least in part an owner of TikTok: the Chinese Communist Party. I was so concerned that I warned our children to keep their children from even loading the TikTok app on their phones. A close family friend is employed with a major IT company that “services” TikTok’s version used in the U.S. He warned us there are very close ties between China’s original version’s algorithm in the software for the version in U.S. phones. Even with that, tens of millions of Americans rely on TikTok for much of their news. Many have made personal careers using TikTok as their business communication tool for online sales. President Trump was warned by some to stay away from the app. Eventually, he gave it a try. He’s now brokering a deal for some American group or corporation to buy TikTok. And unless that occurs, he plans to shut down the U.S. version of the app. For complete details, click on this link:
