Don’t worry: we have them all for you. And we’ll recap the week’s biggest events in our “Saturday Bullet Points.” Here’s how it works:
We’ll give you a few sentences explaining each big story in each bullet point. If you are familiar with each already, go to the next bullet point. If you are NOT familiar with each or desire more details, click on the small blue circle with an arrow inside, and it takes you to a story with complete details. It’s a great way to keep caught up on all the news. Just grab another cup of coffee, and let’s get started!
Bullet Points
- The FBI has experienced the loss of another agent to the Whistleblower program this past week. An FBI Special Agent resigned from the Bureau and immediately went to the House Judiciary Committee with new inside information regarding more FBI wrongdoing. There have been many such reports from a multitude of agents leaving the agency because they cannot take the politicization of numerous things to specifically make the agency look good. This latest comes from an agent that reports that many of the criminal cases sent to the FBI are being put aside so that agents can work on more high-profile cases that will help the FBI reach its goals in solving cases and help reach its budget objectives. Any way you report it, the FBI is in the tank! For complete details, click on this link:
- The Biden Administration has made clear to the World that it will do anything within its power to continue to seize more of the personal rights of its citizens in the name of healthcare and anything they deem necessary in the name of “protecting the country.” The Administration has created a plan that can be implemented anytime the President declares a national emergency. Of course, there’s NO definition of exactly what comprises a national emergency. However, there’s a plan on the table under consideration of a national emergency declaration should this (or any future) administration feel it’s necessary to curb the nation’s abuses in tackling climate change. And the plan includes nationwide lockdowns if the government deems lockdowns would be “necessary!” For complete details, click on this link:
- We know that not everyone in the FBI is a “good” person. Until recently, most Americans trusted the agency and believed what we have been told for years: “The FBI is the most powerful and successful intelligence agency in the World.” Daily, we hear more and more stories of FBI wrongdoing by those at every level in the agency. However, a new bit of FBI information appeared Friday regarding Hunter Biden, of all people! It seems that Hunter has been linked to a former FBI agent — Charles McGonigal — who was just accused of taking $200,000-plus payments from an Albanian intelligence officer! When you read that line, you probably said, “Hey, Hunter’s implicated in another bit of wrongdoing involving money!” Exactly what is THIS story all about? For complete details, click on this link:
- Sadly, one of America’s most-loved actors told the nation that he is suffering from a serious disease that will certainly take him from the movie industry and dramatically alter his life. His family told the World on Friday what their Dad is facing. Of course, his dealing with this tragedy also means his children will do so simultaneously. Who is this famous actor? What disease(s) is stealing his life? For complete details, click on this link:
- Tyre Nicols, a young Memphis black man, lost his life on January 10 at the hands of five Memphis black police officers. The officers are charged with multiple charges that include murder. They appeared in court on Friday, and each pleaded “not guilty” to those charges. Besides the horror of any person losing their life to police officers, all five officers are black, too. If it wasn’t true that both the victim and the officers were African American, one can only imagine how the race card would be included in every conversation about Tyre’s death. However, even though skin color should NOT be an issue in this case, the lawyer of one of the charged police officers played the black card on Friday! What could he have possibly said and why? - Whenever tragedies of any kind happen across the nation, lawmakers jump into the conversation seemingly to find a way to weaponize each tragedy for personal or political party gain. Such is the case of the railway tragedy in Palestine, Ohio. Lawmakers from both parties are screaming at each other, the rail company that owns the train, state and local governments, and even President Biden and his administration. Sadly, most forget about the most affected people in this conversation: the citizens of Palestine. It’s sad that such an accident occurred. What makes it worse is that Biden’s Secretary of Transportation — Pete Buttigieg — has seemed to be uninvolved, hesitant to say anything about the spill or even acknowledge how serious it is, and hasn’t shown up at all, let alone get involved in getting the problem handled. President Biden refuses to declare the incident an emergency, which would assist the citizens of that small town in trying to get their lives back as deadly, cancer-causing liquids and gases poison their air and their water! This is certainly a black eye on this presidential administration. For complete details, click on this link:
- Our southern border debacle will loom in American history as one of the greatest travesties in U.S. history. It will be known as “the” greatest travesties that could have been prevented! The only thing required for it to be just another speed bump in government would have been for President Joe Biden to enforce federal immigration laws. Oh well: history will give the World the truth. House Republicans planned a trip for lawmakers from both parties to visit the border to witness exactly how the resistance to enforcing these laws has impacted each of our southern border states but has also turned each of the 50 states into border states themselves. However, House Democrats decided NOT to participate in that trip to the border, although House Republicans planned and announced the group weeks ago. Here’s what Democrat House member Nadler explained their refusal to go: “Despite the importance of this issue, there was no consultation with Judiciary Democrats, many of whom have already committed to attending other bipartisan congressional delegation trips,” Democrat Jerry Nadler (N.Y.), who serves as ranking member on the committee, said in a statement. What else plays into the Democrats’ decision? For complete details, click on this link:
- Is it any wonder that Don Lemon — CNN’s leading morning show host — finds himself in hot water for something he said? Throughout his career at CNN, Lemon has repeatedly found himself in the dog house for letting his mouth get away from him. In fact, he was booted from his prime-time nightly show because of his mouth. This time, he lightly demeaned the former South Carolina Governor and UN Ambassador for her age. Lemon claimed that Nikki Haley is “past her prime.” It was no surprise that Lemon missed his spot on CNN’s morning show. No explanation for his absence was given. What could possibly be happening at the former top cable news network? For complete details, click on this link:
- There seems to be something in the water that causes Republicans who have drunk the water to decide to embellish their accomplishments to help them win elections. First, it was George Santos from New York. Now, another Republican from Tennessee embellished his past while campaigning to help him win. Representative Ogles flatly lied about many things while campaigning. And, sure enough, voters in Tennessee voted him into office. For complete details, click on this link:
- Tens of millions of Americans have basked in the glee one feels from owning and using Apple iPhones. Yes, they are expensive. And, yes, it takes a tech guru to grasp and use each model’s features as they are released. Seldom, however, does Apple have a serious security problem found to be present when a new software update is released. That has changed! A Federal agency has issued a warning to iPhone users regarding several of the latest software updates released by Apple that open the phones to possible massive security problems by bad actors. Those hacks can be eliminated by uploading the correct fixes found by searching in the General section in each iPhone directory. For complete details, click on this link:
