Saturday Bullet Points: January 25, 2025

Besides the inauguration of the 47th President this week, Democrats in Congress are doing everything possible to obstruct the confirmation of Trump’s nominees; Donald Trump is proving the things he promised in his campaign were NOT empty promises. No one can remember a previous president rolling out as many important policies as Trump in their first week in the White House.

Some of our Saturday Bullet Points today will detail several of these actions. However, we cannot forget that the Democrats’ mantra always leads them to quietly plan, implement, and roll out their plans when they feel the timing is optimal—not for the American people but for Democrats’ purposes! They are doing just that.

Let’s start with the main Trump policies that were revealed this week. We’ll also look inside at essential things that may have been lost in the clouds and fog of Trump’s first week in D.C. as “Trump 47.”

Bullet Points

  • Every U.S. president makes changes when taking over. Trump is no exception. Trump, while campaigning, made known which Biden policies would be eradicated immediately upon Trump’s inauguration. The first significant blow to Democrats — especially Democrat bureaucrats — was Trump’s abolishing DEI — Diversity, Equity, Inclusion — from the entire federal government. Demos are fuming about this blow to the Party. Their first objective is for the government to control every part of Americans’ lives. DEI was a fabulous tool to pick and choose which policies and people were in the “inner circle” of the results of DEI. Bureaucrats are fuming! For complete details, click on this link:
  • Wouldn’t you know it? Hardhead Democrats have decided to push back on Trump’s policies from the beginning! The ATF is accused of “circumventing” Trump’s order to place DEI staff on paid leave. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Explosives (ATF) has allegedly quietly changed the job title of its former diversity officer to keep that person in place! You can bet this won’t end well for those involved. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Trump says he plans to overhaul or eliminate FEMA through an executive order. Wow! Where did this come from? On Friday, the President made trips to North Carolina and California. Both stops aimed to educate himself on the full details of the Federal Government’s responses to Hurricane Helene’s devastation in North Carolina and the massive fires in Southern California. We have chronicled both events and the horrors of the federal responses to assist residents in both locations with emergency needs. Who will forget how FEMA did very little to assist North Carolina’s citizens in pushing through the emergency needs of people who had lost everything and needed emergency help? Biden’s FEMA did little — VERY little there. Trump, in 2019, warned California Governor Gavin Newsom that without ridding the California forests of the underbrush, devastating fires would continue to destroy hundreds of millions of dollars in real estate. On this trip, Trump plans to discuss what federal assistance will be used to help both places. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Almost hourly, more news is published revealing how desperate Democrats are to slow, if not stop, Trump’s legislative agenda as long as possible. It makes NO sense. Trump’s agenda WILL be rolled out and with the people he wants on the job. Democrats must understand the American people gave Trump a mandate with the election. Dems should think hard before obstructing the President. Senate Democrats are slow-walking the confirmation process for Trump’s nominated cabinet members. House Speaker Mike Johnson Friday made clear that, if necessary, President Trump will use “Recess Appointments” to get these folks confirmed so as to get started in governing:
  • For years, Americans have wondered about the assassinations of prominent Americans in the 60s: President John F. Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Robert F. Kennedy, President Kennedy’s younger brother. President Trump has promised to release the long-classified documents with details of each of these assassinations. However, you might not be surprised that the CIA desperately seeks to stop these revelations. Some family members are also trying to stop these revelations. Why? • President Trump has gone back to his “Pardon Book.” This time, he’s pardoned 23 Pro-Life activists who were convicted under the FACE Act. Of all the actions taken by President Biden while in office, the most egregious of those were the multiple attacks on conservative Americans — specifically pro-lifers — for their peaceful protesting at abortion clinics. (I guess it was OK for BLM activists to destroy billions worth of real estate, threaten and beat innocent bystanders, and even kill several people while they were protesting the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. It’s as if the U.S. Government under Joe Biden determined to arrest and jail Americans with whom they disagree regarding “policies,” not law-breaking. For complete details, click on this link:
  • There’s more uncertainty Friday evening regarding the success of Trump Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth. Mark Levin, on his latest show, blasted “corrupt politicians” who orchestrated “character assassination” against Hegseth. Republicans have a majority in the Senate. They have so far been united in their votes for other Trump nominees. However, two GOP Senators have come out against Hegseth—Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. The vote for his confirmation is scheduled for this Friday evening. What’s the beef the pair have for Hegseth? For complete details, click on this link:
  • NEWS FLASH: in the scenario we expected would be necessary, the Senate confirmed Pete Hegseth as the Secretary of Defense. As was expected, it took Vice President J.D. Vance to cast the vote to break a tie for Hegseth to win. For complete details, click on this link:
  • The expected “line in the sand” was drawn on Friday by Mexico. When a United States military plane carrying a load of illegal aliens was preparing for takeoff in the U.S., the Mexican government refused to allow entry into their country. However, the reason for the denial remains unclear. Several flights from the U.S. to Mexico with illegals aboard were accepted: four such planes. For complete details, click on this link:
  • President Trump visited Los Angeles on Friday to meet with leaders and view the carnage from the fires. The President and the Los Angeles Mayor met with many residents who lost everything in the fires to discuss what should and would happen to assist residents in rebuilding their homes. When one citizen asked Mayor Bass about the plans and timing of helping to clear their home lots to facilitate re-building their homes, President Trump interrupted her, stating the City is not the one to take care of taking all the burned elements to dispose up. He recommended the citizens be allowed to do that themselves because the city would take too long. It became tense very quickly in the room! Look at what happened:

  • President Biden promised publicly that the U.S. government would “provide California everything necessary to take care of all their needs that happen as the results of wildfires: in other words, a “blank check.” President Trump on Friday changed a bit of what Biden said the American taxpayers would do, and on what terms. He said he has two provisions, and you will NOT believe what they are! • Vermont quietly initiated an attempt to make underhanded changes in Medicaid just weeks before Trump took the oath of office. Vermont reached an agreement with CMS (the agency that handles funding for Medicare and Medicaid) to allow Vermont to use taxpayer Medicaid funds to cover the costs of rent for homeless people who had medical needs in the state. The Biden Administration granted $10.9 million to “grow the program and hire the staff.” What’s going on with this? For complete details, click on this link:
