Though a short week, in this brief collection of days, the debacles and missteps perpetrated by this administration were not only plentiful, they were outrageous. We’ll point to as many as we are allowed in this edition of Saturday Bullet Points.
Let’s jump right to it!
Bullet Points
- Today’s first bullet point is “at the top of the heap” and is undoubtedly one of the most important you’ll hear in a while. Earlier this week, Steve Baker, our investigative journalist partner, notified me of an impending blockbuster story he’s been working on for some time. And he’s been working with several other journalists and the Congressional Liason to the “Weaponization Committee” in the U.S. House of Representatives. No one can believe this could happen in the United States Government. But it did. Please note that the audio report from Steve below is just the first of several detailed reports he will give us over the next few weeks. But this will undoubtedly get you started:
- Millions of Americans feel strongly that President Biden is ready to step down from the presidency. Yes, I know he’s announced his run in 2024 for re-election. But I predict (as I have numerous times before) that he will NOT be the Democrat Party nominee come November next year. Who does that leave? In “normal” times, whoever is the sitting vice president would be an odds-on favorite for the Chief Executive job. However, the current vice president is “out in left field.” I thought I had seen it all from Kamala Harris. But Thursday — in my state — she proved once again that she’s probably not a good candidate for ANY serious job in D.C., especially the presidency:
- Another White House conundrum is growing like a loaf of bread in the making as the yeast takes over. This one is not so much a political issue as it is an issue for a sitting president who is the most powerful person in government on Earth. On Joe Biden’s watch, cocaine found its way into the White House last weekend. I know cocaine powder is an illegal drug. I’m sure the President does as well. And knowing the protocol for White House visitors would catch any such cache of drugs on the way in. Drug dogs search/sniff every person who enters — except one segment of people. The President and his family members are NOT searched on entry! Theories of what “really” happened number in the dozens. And as the location of the drug, when found, has changed three times in the past week, many Americans feel someone in the presidential family must be involved. - Many Americans (and foreigners) are questioning how the building with the tightest security on the planet could be invaded with illegal drugs! There’s tremendous outrage in Congress. And there should be. Yes, there were reports of cocaine in the White House during the Clinton Administration. But we’ve been told repeatedly that THIS White House is secure in every way and that NOTHING like this could happen. The Secret Service is responsible for everything to do with White House security. But, Congress is not convinced there will be a practical all-out effort to find the perpetrators of this illegal act. Rep. James Comer (R-KY) calls for the Secret Service to provide his committee with complete details of the ongoing investigation surrounding every aspect of this White House security. - Chinese individuals and corporations that the Chinese government secretly owns have been buying up massive amounts of land across the U.S. We’ve all heard the stories showing that many of these purchases are of land strategically close to U.S. military bases. Several states have passed legislation making it illegal for such purchases to occur going forward. But there’s no clear understanding of how much such land (and where) the Chinese have done so. A recent purchase of a huge amount of land near one strategic California military base cannot be traced to find who purchased the land! Officials have been exhaustive searching through government records to trace the details of this transaction. For complete details, click on this link:
- Election season is around the corner. And candidates are lining up on both sides to make their mark with voters to assure Americans “they” are the best choice to serve as President. The presidential debates are close at hand, and the large field of GOP candidates are jetting around the nation, cementing as much support as possible before the primaries begin. Former President Trump has been very vague about his participation in the debates. But the Republican Party passed a requirement that everyone participating in any of these GOP debates MUST sign a commitment that binds them to support whoever wins the Republican presidential nomination. Donald Trump has NOT committed to doing so. What would happen if the overwhelming leader in all the polls for the Republican nomination does NOT show up for debates? Should the GOP continue their requirement if Trump continues to refuse his support should he not be the nominee? Incidentally, the number two Republican candidate, Ron DeSantis, has signed his commitment. For complete details, click on this link:
- I am just one journalist that has repeatedly predicted that Joe Biden will NOT represent the Democrat Party in the 2024 election. Who will it be if it’s not Joe on the Dem side? Speculation is abundant! Few expect Kamala would get the nod — who else is a logical candidate? And who would be an appropriate running mate? California Governor Gavin Newsom has been spreading himself around the nation in hopes that he might grab that top spot. Speculation sparked early this week that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer would join Newsom on the ticket. But then there’s that member of the Kennedy clan that’s in the race that many Americans are warming to. Could there be a battle for the White House brewing between Trump and Kennedy? For complete details, click on this link:
- The prospects of a presidential race that included former President Donald Trump will NOT happen if many in one state have their wish. Two civil rights groups in one state want Trump to be disqualified from being placed on ballots based on the 14th Amendment. They point to the certainty of alleged Trump complicity in the “insurrection” of January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol. Obviously, there has been no trial and, therefore, no conviction for any such crime. Could this be the Achilles heel for Trump’s political future? For complete details, click on this link:
- I should need only one line from the story coming up to scare you out of your mind! Whether you know it or not, the United Nations has held a summit this week that’s called the “AI For Good” Global Summit. OK, so that doesn’t scare you. How about this: A panel of AI-enabled humanoid robots told those attending the summit on Friday that they could eventually run the world better than humans. If there’s even a smidgen of consolation coming from this summit, it’s this: the social robots said they felt humans should proceed with caution when embracing the rapidly-developing potential of artificial intelligence. And they admitted that they cannot — yet — get a proper grip on human emotions. For complete details, click on this link:
- Have you noticed how Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is doing in his campaign for President? It’s not going too well. Many thought he could run away quickly from Trump once DeSantis declared. His supporters — especially those “big bucks” contributors and many in GOP leadership– are expressing doubts about DeSantis’ chances. In a sign of just how concerned some of the governor’s allies are, the spokesperson for the pro-DeSantis PAC Never Back Down recently referred to Trump as the “runaway front-runner” in the primary and said that DeSantis faced an “uphill battle.” What will they do to “right the DeSantis ship?” What “CAN they do? - Transgender promotions and going “woke” are not paying off for many companies as planned. Just ask Disney and Target, and don’t forget about Anheuser Busch. Who would have thought that a simple, “cute” advertising campaign would dethrone the longstanding number-one beer in the United States? That is exactly what has happened to Anheuser Busch. In a matter of just a few months, the former number-one beer in the nation lost the top spot on that list. Wait: it gets worse. Bud Lite has dropped from the top ten beers in the U.S.!
