We usually publish our bullet points every Saturday, recapping the week’s biggest stories. Today’s offering is different. Throughout February, each day brought many revelations about the Trump Administration’s “hit the ground running” activities. I don’t have to explain to anyone that we probably have never had a single month in history with more important happening in a month other than a World War or the slaughter of hundreds of Americans in New York with the fall of the Twin Towers in 2001. However, no one can credibly claim February 2025 was not a record-setter. This bullet point offering will include the ten most important happenings of the month.
Who decides which happenings fall into the top ten category? Of course I do! I doubt you’ll disagree, but when you see them, you’ll concur that there were more than ten big February happenings. We’ve taken the liberty of choosing the top ten to publish here. And they’re in no specific order.
Let’s get cranking!
Bullet Points
- Friday’s meeting in the Oval Office between Ukraine’s President Zelensky and President Trump with Vice President J.D. Vance was a circus. I don’t think such a meeting has ever happened in the Oval Office — at least never before, with the entire meeting carried live around the World! I’m not going to characterize what happened in that contentious meeting. I’ll let you see and hear for yourself below:
- The devastating crash of the military helicopter with an American Airlines passenger jet happened on January 29. So, technically, this story should not be included with these bullet points. However, the facts and conclusions of the details of that crash did not go public until Valentine’s Day, February 14. The official report of what caused this crash and the resulting explanations we received on Valentine’s Day qualify that horror as one of the top stories of February. To see those details released that day, click on this link:
- Our list of most important February events in the U.S. at least ended with a bang. President Trump was sued on the last day of the month — Friday, February 28 — for an executive order signed by the president regarding control of the Election Commission. Numerous executive orders were initiated during the month. However, this one may be the most egregious attempt by Democrats to exhaust their efforts to “water down” the power of the Executive Branch in the necessary oversight of the nation’s federal election system. - For years, Americans have been breathless awaiting the release of the heretofore classified documents surrounding the legendary “sexual extravaganza” perpetuated by Jeffrey Epstein. Trump promised when he moved back into the White House that he would declassify multiple major events that happened previously in several areas of life in the U.S. Epstein’s “Pedo Island” escapes is legend. Millions waited for years for those details. February 27th was D-Day for the release of those documents. However, though a document release happened, it was not the complete treasure trove Americans were awaiting. Attorney General Pam Bondi went nuts when it was discovered the FBI had NOT released thousands of documents from the Epstein case. The FBI missed Bondi’s second release date for all the documents. What happened to President Trump’s promise? Is the total release still going to happen? For complete details, click on this link:
- The most prominent Democrat activist in the United States is certainly George Soros. It has been common knowledge for decades that Soros uses his exorbitant wealth to attack both conservative causes and conservative political candidates in elections. For years, many have tried to tie Soros to specific, underhanded (if not illegal) methods to promote egregious demonstrations and even stoke the fires of dangerous protests against Republicans and other conservatives. Lately, uncovered details of massive fraud and waste of federal government taxpayer dollars have raised deeper questions of how George Soros may be involved in the billions of mishandled American taxpayer dollars in massive grants worldwide by the U.S. There are specific ties between Soros to large amounts of these taxpayer dollars, many of which found their way into Soros not-for-profits to fuel some of these political events against conservatism! Watch this:
- One of the United States’ most prolific actors and his wife were found dead in their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Oscar winner Gene Hackman and his wife were discovered in their home under extremely strange circumstances. While authorities are collecting complete details of the unusual events, peculiar details being released confirmed these deaths were beyond strange. However, law enforcement does not expect there will be any illegal circumstances surrounding their death. One peculiar piece of evidence shocked many when released. Apparently, the pair (and one of their dogs) had been dead for as long as several weeks! For complete details, click on this link:
- By now, all Americans are aware of Elon Musk and DOGE’s purposes and actions in their massive investigations into massive fraud, corruption, and waste of U.S. taxpayer money by agencies in our government or directly affiliated with us. Never before in history have Americans seen so much obvious fraud as February revealed through DOGE investigations. Though a huge majority of Americans are excited to get answers to their questions about whether the government mishandles large amounts of dollars, many Democrats, both in and outside the government, are blowing gaskets daily with new discoveries. Here are the top finds so far by DOGE. And the wasted taxpayer dollars already total billions of dollars! For complete details, click on this link:
- Sheldon White House from Rhode Island is probably the most ostentatious member of the U.S. Senate. As a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Whitehouse revels in attacking nominees by Republican presidents testifying to that committee, hoping the Senate will confirm their position. However, days ago, Senator White House was exposed as the most hypocritical member of the Senate when it was revealed that his wife received tens of millions of dollars from her so-called job as a consultant for a not-for-profit entity. The problem is that Senator White has been instrumental in the process to make sure that entity gets millions of dollars from U.S. taxpayers to fund his wife’s “consulting:”
- For some reason, former President Biden did not try very hard to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. It almost seemed that the former President was afraid of Russia’s leader. Biden often spoke angrily about Putin, challenging the former KGB officer from a distance. Just two months back in the White House, President Trump opened the door with Putin. Twice in the past few weeks, foreign experts in the Trump Administration have met with their Russian government counterparts to discuss potential meetings between the two presidents. Both meetings have been very successful. It is expected that Putin and Trump will get together face-to-face very soon. The latest of those diplomats’ meetings happened in Turkey this past week. Our final important February event is a bit different. The most important event of my life was celebrated in February. Way back in 1975, Mary Ann and I went to my boss’s home in Ruston, Louisiana. That day, I stood next to Mary Ann on one side with a real cougar sitting next to me on the other side! A Baptist pastor from Ruston performed our wedding ceremony.
Since that time, our lives together have been as close to perfect as one could expect: well, at least “sometimes.” Naturally, we had ups and downs. But, thankfully, there have been far more ups than downs.
On Valentine’s Day, Mary Ann, I, and multiple friends who joined us in the Big Apple celebrated our 50th anniversary. The day and night were spectacular and historical. Our nephew, Dez Duron, is starring in the number-one musical on Broadway. That evening, we sat front and center in that theater and celebrated the day and fifty years together while we wept several times during that theatrical wonder, “Maybe Happy Ending.”
During those several days, we laughed, cried, celebrated, and visited many of our favorite places in the City. Our daughters reserved a special place for lunch at Tavern On The Green in Central Park. Mary Ann and I sat there, reminiscing about those fifty years. Three children, six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter later, we are still together, and we would still rather be with each other than any others on Earth. And we still love each other!
Our oldest daughter has a friend who is a photographer who happened to be in New York. She met us at the front of Tavern On The Green and walked with us into the park. Almost as in a dream, it began to snow. She took about fifty pictures of us walking through the park. Those pictures codify what we knew would eventually arrive, and we always hoped we’d celebrate all those years of being together.
I am blessed above every other man I know to have Mary Ann beside me daily. Not only is she my wife, she’s my best friend. Thank you for allowing me to share the “biggest thing of this February” with you. I hope you have an equally joyous 50th anniversary with your spouse. For us, even though we’re in our 70s, we know: “The Best Is Yet To Come!”
