It’s no surprise that this week was filled with major happenings. We’ll jump right in with some of the hottest stories.
Because there are so many (and so many that are really important), we are including several more videos than normal. Each of these stories and videos is critical for us all to absorb! - Former (and fired) FBI Director James Comey is under siege by investigations of him by several U.S. intelligence agencies. Comey posted a since-removed Instagram picture of two words posted in the sand on a beach. The words in context are about murdering President Trump. For details, watch this video:
- President Trump completed his whirlwind trip to several Middle Eastern nations on Friday. The results of his visits with leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE resulted in more than a trillion dollars of deals between those countries and the United States. However, what struck most Americans is the shocking speed of this trip, the actual meetings with world leaders, and the almost instant completion of multiple sophisticated foreign agreements. - Quite a few GOP Congressmen are putting the brakes on the passing of President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.” There are several controversial parts to the bill that are causing pause among several super conservative Republicans. We know that crafting legislation and getting that legislation passed in Congress are completely different things. But both MUST be completed in the mandate if having to complete and pass this fiscal year’s budget. One of the most contentious sections is Trump’s promises of no taxes on tips and overtime pay. - Friday, the Supreme Court convened to address several important issues that present as “emergency resolution actions.” Addressing the two major contents of this hearing, Justice Clarence Thomas made a few points that seem to indicate Thomas may be leaning toward the White House’s position on these very important and eminent issues:
- California Governor Gavin Newsom is known to be one of the nation’s governors who loves to spend taxpayer dollars and often finds himself in deep holes for doing so. His latest resulted from his inclusion of Medicaid in his state for illegal aliens. Because states and the federal government are partners in Medicaid’s program, states pay half of the Medicaid expenses for their state, while the federal government pays the other portion. As often happens to Governor Newsom, he’s found that his “arbitrary” choice to add these illegals will NOT result in the federal government’s payment of the other half! Why? - The case heard Friday at the Supreme Court was twofold: one addressed the validity of federal district judges taking action in cases where each judge concludes that actions to be taken apply not only to the district that the judge represents, but the entire nation! The second part examined the “birthright citizenship” debacle. What’s the debacle? The conflict in this case is that the Constitution gives citizenship to foreigners with babies in the United States. Currently, ALL such babies are thought to be citizens. However, this court case tests the so-called accepted premise that those rights belong to ALL babies born here — PERIOD. - Who do you feel is (or “are”) the leader in today’s Democratic Party? I don’t remember a time when Democratic Party members didn’t have very active and involved party leaders in Congress. However, it appears that those times may be over! It’s not a question that quite a few Democrats would love to be tagged as their party’s leader. What’s lacking is any confidence that any one Democrat currently has enough support to be chosen to lead. But there’s more: their party is nothing but mush right now! Not only me, but guess who else feels that way about their party: the American people! - Have you heard of the new “Muslim-only” city being built now that it is just outside the city limits of Dallas, Texas? This has been developing for quite some time. However, this week, Governor Abbott announced that “Epic City” had been stopped. Dave Rubin gives us the full details:
- The New York Attorney General is facing what appears to be an unwinnable case against her! Letitia James is the AG who fiddled with state laws she used to try to prosecute Donald Trump, which resulted in massive civil penalties against her for manipulating the values of Trump assets to get better financing for various Trump properties. It was uncanny that she was facing charges against her for doing the exact things she alleged that Donald Trump had done! There’s one difference: she “did” it…Trump “did NOT” do it! Take a look:
- Many of us were certain of Joe Biden’s cognitive issues even before the 2020 election. He hardly campaigned at all. His wife kept him sequestered in that fake Oval Office, where he made several short videos given to media outlets. After his election, his public appearances were sparse and certainly not to discuss any important issues with the American People. He often could not remember the names of important people. His speech was scratchy and often made no sense at all. The telltale sign of his decline came with the testimony of the special counsel assigned to investigate Joe for mishandling classified documents. Special Counsel Hur reported to Congress that Biden violated multiple instances of gross abuse of classified documents. Hur actually stated Biden had committed criminal acts. However, Hur said he recommended no charges because any jury would refuse to indict him because of his cognitive issues. Guess what? - This week, the federal courts—and even the Supreme Court—were busy commenting on important issues. The first finding rendered was one in which the courts’ opinion on the term “invasion” was the centerpiece of their findings. Of course, THIS court ruled against President Trump. - Current FBI Director Kash Patel promised when testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee that he — if appointed — would close the D.C. Headquarters and “put every FBI agent out in the field nationwide to daily “solve crimes.” Friday, he announced that the time to start the process is happening quickly.
