Hostages Released! That’s the big story of the week. Many people around the World held their breath, hoping and praying that Hamas and Israel would “do the right thing” and get some of the hostages released. However, I do NOT understand why Israel agreed to the numbers swapped. Common sense told me a “fair” deal would be one-for-one. Because Prime Minister Netanyahu agreed to that swap, I fully expected some nastiness would accompany the temporary cease-fire and swap. So far, so good!
While many were anxious about the hostage swap, the uproar on multiple levels in multiple locations around the World kept raging! - Louisiana U.S. Senator John Kennedy is undoubtedly the Mark Twain of the 21st Century. His quips and similes are epic and make me laugh all the time. This week saw Vice President Kamala Harris in the Kennedy “bullseye.” Kennedy pointed out in a congressional hearing some of the VP’s self-inflicted ridiculous actions and things she said. - Yes, Hamas honored (at least so far) the hostage release agreement made with Israel. Friday saw the first of the lopsided swaps completed as agreed to. - In the past two weeks, shocking news from Minnesota was released that shows George Floyd was NOT killed by Officer Chauvin’s kneeling on Floyd’s neck. The autopsy report — the “official” autopsy — was hidden for more than a year. The two people who conducted the autopsy found themselves in litigation with each other, and one of them released the REAL report. While this story is pending, it was revealed Friday that Chauvin was stabbed at the facility where he’s locked up in Arizona. He’s in serious condition. - Joe Biden’s lust for attention has never been more obvious than during his presidential administration. He incessantly tells stories that build his reputation using details that are often easily proven false. In the wake of the horrors of the October 7 massacre of 150 Israelis and the subsequent war between Hamas and Israel, Joe claimed that HE “might” be to blame for Hamas launching that attack! - The horror stories about what “Bidenomics” has done to the average American are plentiful and still growing in number. Almost half of Americans are using credit cards to pay their monthly bills! - In the aftermath of the U.S. overturn of Roe v. Wade, which remanded the legality of abortion back to the individual states, many pro-abortion supporters are frantically trying to get the legalization of abortion added to their state constitutions for the 2024 election. However, several state courts have already rejected motions to legalize abortion. Now, another state has seen an abortion constitutional amendment rejected and will not be on their 2024 ballot. - There are far too many “phobias” and “isms” in the U.S. No, I’m not saying there are not many “legitimate” phobias and “isms” in our nation. But what IS factual is that more and more politization of these issues is obliterating the ability of Americans to communicate with each other. Why? Because of the fear of rage when they are used. The latest “ism” that is “real,” for sure, but is being weaponized in politics, is antisemitism. In fact, the social nuts are using “antisemitism” as a weapon to go after “Islamaphobia,” and vice versa! Here’s proof:
- Americans have never seen such a massive lead by a presidential candidate, as is the case today for the 2024 GOP election. Indeed, there’s nothing like this seen when an incumbent is running for re-election and is getting his clock cleaned! Another credible poll was released that shows Trump is not only leading President Biden by 7 points now, he’s leading his top challenger by 51 points! In a straight matchup, Trump led Biden 47% to 40% in the latest The Messenger/HarrisX survey, with 13% unsure. - The Dallas Cowboys playing a home game on Thanksgiving Day has become an NFL mainstay. The halftime shows have become epic in the last few years. But, though Thursday’s football game was a blowout for the Cowboys, the “real” action of the day was the special guest dominating the game’s news. 77-year-old Dolly Parton starred at halftime dressed as and performed with the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders!
