“Divider-in-Chief”

With all of the hullabaloo during the Trump presidency, America cried for a Commander-in-Chief who would unite us once again. After all, we were SO unified during the eight years of the Obama Administration. And, after all, Obama’s Vice President looks to be the President for at least the next four years. Indeed, a President Biden has all the knowledge, expertise, and know-how to unite Americans just as he and Obama did beginning in 2008.

There it is: the promise of taking this nation on his watch back to the immense unity we had from 2008 to 2016.

Uniting a nation that perpetually exists in partisanship is a tall order for anyone. Certainly, an experienced politician who spent 40-years as a U.S. Senator and 8-years as Vice President has all the expertise, understanding, knowledge, and character to take our fractured nature back to the altar of unity built by Barack Obama and Joe Biden, right? You just watched Biden’s campaign video in which he made clear he has all of the above plus a commitment to do whatever it takes to unite us all.

He said it, so it must be true.

Biden spoke after the electoral college convened on Monday to report their votes. He sounded a little tense when referencing Republicans who “allege” voter fraud, especially in swing states:

“Even more stunning, 17 Republican Attorneys General, and 126 Republican members of the Congress, actually, they actually signed onto a lawsuit filed by the state of Texas,” Biden continued. “That lawsuit asked the United States Supreme Court to reject the certified vote counts in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. This legal maneuver was an effort by elected officials and one group of states to try to get the Supreme Court to wipe out the votes of more than 20 million Americans in other states. And to hand the presidency to a candidate who lost the Electoral College, lost the popular vote, and lost each and every one of the states whose votes they were trying to reverse. It’s a position so extreme, we’ve never seen it before.”

After attacking the Trump administration and Republicans, Biden said, “And now it’s time to turn the page as we’ve done throughout our history, to unite, to heal.”

Facts Matter

I’m not a physician, but I learned through my decades on Earth that bumps, bruises, scrapes, and even broken bones will heal in the right circumstances. But in each case, whatever causes the bruises, scrapes, and broken bones must be removed to facilitate the healing process. Heck, family counselors tell married couples who struggle with relational problems they must first deal with the causes of their issues before healing can occur. Trying to reconcile without doing so just covers over the pain-causers, and they almost always reappear — but only worse.

Those same counselors demand both husband and wife be truthful during their counseling sessions. Lying about the elements that generated the problems will prohibit true and successful healing. Any attempt for healing that just covers up the causes will only be temporary. The same problems will reoccur and will only increase the damages they initially caused.

Who wants that?

So let’s get to the heart of the matter: the facts. Do Biden and other Democrats think that the 73 million Americans who voted for Trump are delusional, misguided, and even stupid? Do they feel that these Americans will rush to proclaim: “Biden told us he won. The national networks told us he won. Democrats in leadership told us he won. Heck, Mitt Romney told us he won. Because they all said so, we agree: Joe Biden won the Presidency!”

That’s NOT going to happen. But even more important to consider in Biden’s promises to unify Americans, that’s not how unity works — especially when the differences between involved parties are so stark and diametrically opposed. Just as is necessary at the marriage counseling session are honest discussions, the same discussions must ensue to resolve differences among voters. Minus that there will be NO unity.

Let’s face facts: no one wants to watch sausage being made. The process is nasty, it’s smelly, and it’s really crude. But when it all comes together and the finished product is on the grill, it smells pretty darn good while cooking, and tastes fantastic when completed. Disagreements and subsequent reconciliations are just like the sausage-making process. Everyone wants to jump to the “tastes wonderful” part. No one wants to go through the nasty, smelly making-the-sausage process. But one part must happen to get to the other!

Getting to the “united” stage in the nation that Joe Biden says he’ll get done is NOT going to happen just because he says he wants it. To get there, the process is going to stink, look unsightly, and take some time. The big question for Joe and other Democrats is this: are they willing to pay the price to get the sausage to the grill? Even more important than that is do they really want to unite the nation at all? Or are they saying they want to just because that’s the politically correct thing to say right now?

The Government “Sausage-Making” Process

For anything meaningful to happen regarding reconciliation in our nation, Congress will have to deal with the 73 million Americans who voted for Trump, who most are certain that the election was stolen. If Democrats want a consensus of any type of unified support, they MUST deal with that perception among voters. And there are many more Americans that feel the same as do those 73 million!

How do Uncle Joe, Aunt Nancy, and Chucky Boy soothe the hurt and anger these jilted conservative voters have boiling-over in their guts? Certainly not by inflaming the already roaring fires of division.

What Joe and others “say” is one thing. Spoken words can later be softened, deleted, or their meanings explained away. But the only concrete evidence of genuine hope and commitment to reconciliation among disenfranchised voters in those types of numbers is some type of frontal assault on the division that these Americans can see. It cannot be “representative of” hope for unity. It must be actual actions to unify.

How does this process get started? Get everything out in the open.

Here’s the problem that millions of Americans comprehend but Democrats almost to a person in government want to ignore: there WAS fraud committed in the election. Trying to deny that fact in the face of the mounds of examples that have been documented, evidence of which is included in mountains of affidavits from witnesses sworn under oath at the penalty of jail time, and even blanket admissions of election officials in numerous states that include governors, secretaries of state, local and state judges, and even election workers that prove there was voter fraud. And Democrats try to smoothe-over that with this statement we hear over and over again: “There’s no proof of fraud to a level sufficient to overturn the results,” is just plain stupid! That response begs this question: “How much election fraud is OK with Democrats? What number do they deem sufficient to justify that there is ‘election fraud sufficient to overturn the results?'”

Why is it stupid? Simple: “If” Joe Biden and other Democrats want unity, unity cannot and will not occur unless Democrats unite and inform the nation of a launch of a bi-partisan and exhaustive investigation on every level of the federal government to prove there was no election fraud. Further, if and when fraud is found, those guilty of perpetrating and participating in the voter fraud will be held accountable under the law for their wrongdoing. If Democrats will do that and accept the results without regard for who the guilty parties are, there is hope for unity between all Americans.

Is Unity in the Nation Possible?

My answer: “Yes.” But under the current environment in the political system and the attitudes voiced daily by those on the Left that dismiss any possibilities of voter fraud, I think that unity, though possible, is very unlikely.

Why? There has been little or NO demonstration of a willingness among Democrats to consider even a possibility of election fraud in November. That alone has (so far) destroyed any confidence conservatives may have had for any reconciliation. What makes it worse are the continual goadings conservatives receive daily from the Leftist Mainstream Media pundits who continually deride any person who shows any belief of there being election fraud.

Summary

I told you: the sausage-making process is horrid. Few, if any, want to watch. But no one wants to wait for the smell of good DownHome Sausage on the grill and drool at the thought of biting into a piece.

There are only two ways this can end, assuming Biden becomes the 46th President officially on January 20, 2021. Joe will have to initiate the unity process. And he must be joined by Democrat leaders in Congress and the Mainstream Media. Short of those leaders stepping forward in some semblance of humility and honesty that people can and will trust, there will be NO unity during the next four years. And the results of that will devastate the nation in every way imaginable and even those that cannot be thought of.

But if those in power today and those who join them in a Biden Administration will reach across the aisle and work to disprove the certainty of voter fraud in the minds of over 100 million Americans, unity will be possible. If that does NOT happen, there will be nothing but finger-pointing, screaming, arguing, stalemates on every piece of legislation while very little gets done to run the United States.

Which will it be? I can only speak for myself. I, because of the evidence I have personally examined that confirms that systemic election fraud did occur, will NOT agree to join with any who refuse to ferret out the wrongdoings and prosecute the guilty. Trust will NOT exist for political leaders. Doubts and suspicions will control the nation and there will be massive chaos. Imagine what our economy and foreign policies will become.

In any such circumstances, President Joe Biden will NOT be trusted by our allies, will be glorified by our enemies’ leaders, and will be resented by most Americans. He will be known throughout history as America’s “Divider-in-Chief.”

An excellent start for resolution would be a national statement like this from Joe Biden:

“I know there is great division in the nation. I’m certain this division has birthed massive distrust for our political leaders, the Media, and even one’s own neighbors. I speak to a divided America to express the willingness and  commitment from me, the United State President, along with all of the members of my Administration at every level, to pursue diligently and immediately to uncover all election wrongdoing of every kind and expose the perpetrators all in full display for Americans to witness. I commit that, subject to the findings of all of the election corruption and illegal acts or the findings of there being none, I will do everything within my power to see that the appropriate legal federal authorities will immediately hold all those guilty identified accountable for their misdeeds. We cannot move forward together as a nation if we sit here today in total disarray and disagreement. My bosses are the American People. And I commit that I will lead the charge to get to the truth using every resource at our disposal to get the job done immediately and in full view of the American People.

It MUST be a real commitment. Americans are, in most cases, smarter than many politicians think. And they get how politicians operate — including “politi-speak.” That will not work.

Will we go down that road toward unity, or will we find ourselves a nation of people wandering and floundering in our self-created chaos with a bunch of unanswered questions? Will Joe Biden even attempt in any serious way to unite us? To me it appears the opposite is true. He’s filling his cabinet with nominees who have histories of lashing out publicly against conservatives. His packing his administration with those of that ilk is opposite of what one would do to bridge the void between leftists and the GOP. In fact, it appears Joe plans to be our “Divider-in- Chief.”

If that is his real objective, the result of a Biden term will be a massive overthrow of a “Socialist-lite” Biden Administration that floundered in a republic desert to be replaced by a “Populist American Nation Part II.”

And, who knows: Donald Trump might then be the 45th AND 47th President of the United States!
