This week flew by. In doing so, it was tough to keep up with all of the important news events. However, we’ll grab a few of the most important stories to keep you updated on the important issues you may have missed.
July is gone! The summer months are usually calmer than the rest of the year. However, this year is different. How so? We have a controversial conflict underway with Iran at the same time we’re in the midst of the most important midterm election of the last few years. All that chaos makes it tough for us to keep tabs on all the really important happenings. Don’t fret: we’ve grabbed the big ones from the week and put them together for you in today’s “Bullet Points.”
Bullet Points
- It appears that Democrats are testing the limits of federal election rules. They chose a candidate to run for President in 2024 without that candidate getting a single vote in a primary: Kamala Harris. They forced the winner of the Maine Senate primary to resign. Democrat Party leaders chose the candidate to take that spot again without a single vote by the people. We discovered this week that Wisconsin Dems tried to rush in late votes after several candidates dropped out. A judge said, “No!”
- One of the most contentious social, physical, and mental issues of this age has been grabbed by the American Federation of Teachers as their major cause to push for: “Gender-Affirming Care.” They passed a resolution supporting this highly controversial issue that is now in the courts. And they vowed to go to court to demand that the process be legalized, despite Trump making it one of his major issues.
- Megyn Kelly, in an interview with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., discovered that Dr. Fauci had deleted some information from the infamous diary that prompted his trip to answer questions this week before a Senate subcommittee. Some say Fauci doing so was illegal. Megyn got some explanations for it all this week:
- Our conflict with Iran has depleted a shocking amount of our military munitions. President Trump pushed to get our munitions replaced as quickly as possible. He even suggested he would allow those weapons to be built in Ukraine to speed up the process. However, he apparently changed his mind and will NOT allow that to happen:
- The Smithsonian Institution has been a bastion of American History for decades and preserves vast collections of historical artifacts so that Americans can learn how our country has developed. Previously, the political “angles” of the items at the Smithsonian were not chosen or placed to reflect a specific political ideology. That has been changed dramatically recently. They have been pushing DEI, the 1619 Project, and other political messaging. Oh, the Smithsonian executive who has pushed all this made $4.4 million in doing so!
- It’s kind of spooky, but federal agencies have notified seven states that recent water system failures are the result of overseas hacking. In fact, it is “probable” that Iran may be the culprit:
- New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani shocked many when he published a list of billionaires with second homes in the city who will be subject to his new, massive tax on all such properties. This is another action by the Mayor that is already driving MORE wealthy individuals and large corporations to leave the Big Apple and relocate to more “friendly” locations.
- Mountains of evidence are piling up daily showing the Democrat Party is in trouble. This sudden, very public move to the far-left has shocked well more than half of the “moderate” Democrats. No one was prepared for it to happen so quickly. And they were NOT prepared. It’s sad to see their party crumbling before their members’ eyes. Many are confident that the Democratic Party, as it has evolved, may be crumbling before their eyes.
- President Trump and his Cabinet are in Camp David this weekend. The President held a meeting of this group that was televised live. Trump said he is planning the details of a new strike on Iran that may be initiated this weekend. He did not give specifics of his plans for this attack, which may continue for days, but he made clear that the plan will be structured to finally get Iran to the table to end the war:
- There has not been much concern about the impending possible government shutdown. However, there are now positive indications that finding middle ground could successfully fund the government and prevent a pending shutdown. We were told on Friday that the agreement’s completion will fund the government through the election and into early December.
- Growing concerns about the conflict in Iran continue to divide the nation. This pending push, we are told, is being finalized in Camp David this weekend. Many are wondering how much longer we can go. Victor Davis Hanson explained where he thinks the President is on the timeline we’re now on:
