Saturday Bullet Points: February 25, 2023

Bullet Points today come from Israel! I’m on a trip with our church — 52 of us. The sites we visited in Tiberias yesterday were breathtaking. We stood where Jesus preached the famous “Sermon on the Mount,” and boarded a fishing boat on the Sea of Galilee that took us to the spot where Jesus — after His resurrection — called the disciples in from their fishing and cooked fish. We visited Magdala, the place where Mary Magdalen was raised. But the highlight of the day for me was when my big brother baptized me in the Jordan River! That’s right, my 70-year-old brother baptized this 69-year-old little brother! I think you can tell the experience of Israel is far better than I ever expected.

While I am in Israel the next week, “TNN Live!” will be aired live every day, as always. We are glued to the important happenings for all of us. And there are plenty. Right now we are going to look at the biggest stories of the week and how they impact us all. How does this work? Read the several sentences of each bullet point. If you have already availed yourself of that story, click on the next story. But if you want more details of what you read, click on the arrow link at the end and go to the full story. Let’s get to the Saturday Bullet Points.

  • We all watch as the Biden Administration’s desire to convert all vehicles to electric is here. In fact, WE know that doing so will NEVER happen. Why? Because a huge component of electric automobile batteries are heavy, and not fuel effective. Never fear, Joe Biden’s Department of Energy has found a way to unlock the car battery industry: buy them from some other country. How so? To read for complete details, click on this link:
  • Most Americans who watch the condition of our President in his job are certain he is at least “mildly” cognitively diminished if not “significantly” so. All the talk of his running for a second term has millions of Americans watching intently to see if the rumors of his running in ’24 are true. Friday, Joe’s wife Jill weighed in and removed some of the uncertainty of a second presidential run. What’s going on with that decision? For complete details, click on this link:
  • All of the climate conspiracy theorists are jumping up and down because of what’s happening in California. I’ve spent quite a bit of time on the west coast in large part because of its amazing weather. They seldom deal with horrible temperatures or extreme humidity. What’s got the activists up in arms? Snow — and LOTS of it! There’s even a blizzard warning out for parts of California! That has happened since 1989. For complete details, click on this link:
  • With the federal government taking over the guarantee of repaying student loans, we’ve watched as the cost of going to universities skyrocket to never-before-seen prices. What was once manageable numbers have become virtually unpayable for millions of people. Further diluting the practice of all kids going to college after high school means the competition for jobs is higher than ever and, therefore, it’s harder to get great high-paying jobs. That means that massive debt MUST be paid. Now many high school seniors are looking at higher-paying jobs for students graduating from junior college with a blue-collar training education. How’s that working out? For complete details, click on this link:
  • Who would have thought that Chinese President Xi Jinping would reach out to Ukraine in an effort to stop the war? Everyone in the West thought Vladimir Putin would be the one that would move to negotiate an end to the war. How is that going to happen and why would China make that step? For complete details, click on this link:
  • I was tickled that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy turned over ALL the January 6 video footage to FOX News’ Tucker Carlson. I feel that is the only way the truths of that day will be known by the American people. Friday, deposed CNN show host Brian Stelter in his new job welcomed Journalist Steve Krakauer to chat with “Little Brian.” Stelter asked Krakauer his thoughts about Carlson exclusively receiving the rights from McCarthy. Krakauer responded saying he was glad for that to happen. Do you think Stelter received those remarks positively? Stelter went NUTS! For complete details, click on this link:
  • “Inflation is dropping and has the last few months,” the President told us in a speech last week. However, his remarks are in direct opposition to the numbers released Friday by the Commerce Department. They say inflation rose last month by 0.6 in January and the previous month’s number was revised up from 0.1 to 0.2. The 12-month gain for December was revised up from five percent to 5.3 percent. What are the ramifications of this Bidenflation for us all? For complete details, click on this link:
  • John Fetterman, the new Pennsylvania U.S. Senator, is still recovering from a wicked stroke he sustained while campaigning for Pennsylvania’s available Senate seat. His wife, Gisele, was very public and very outspoken in her support for her husband. Fetterman suffered another setback a few weeks ago, was hospitalized, and subsequently released to a mental hospital for treatment. However, Gisele fled to Canada after John entered the hospital. What’s that about? For complete details, click on this link:
  • Massive spending bills passed by Democrats in secret are always shown “later” to be full of massive pork and other wastes of taxpayer dollars. Biden’s Inflation Act did just that regarding a $3 billion bill to address the widespread price-fixing debacle in prescription drugs. But, Republican leaders learned that there was NO regulation, NO accountability requirements, and NO ONE responsible in the leadership of its implementation. A group of lawmakers has demanded accountability for this. What do they specifically expect to gain from this if passed? For complete details, click on this link:
