Saturday Bullet Points: January 28, 2023

Nothing gets resolved anymore! It seems that every little thing that happens is turned into a political drama. And there’s never a REAL resolution. But there’s one constant today. And it’s not good. The divisiveness in our political system is perpetual. And it’s created a vast divide that grows wider by the minute.

And there’s no end in sight.

Oh well. Let’s look back at the week at the complete list of divisive events and how they play into the landscape of Joe Biden’s America. Let’s get started.

Bullet Points

  • Wouldn’t you know it! I’m going to Israel in a few weeks and Friday there was a mass shooting in Jerusalem! There’s nothing like making an American have second thoughts about touring the Holy Land. Seriously, it happened in a synagogue and there are at least 7 dead. • It wasn’t a good week for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Early in the week, he learned that he and his cohort, Eric Swalwell, were kicked off the House Intelligence Committee by new House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). The reason for both getting shelled was their “graying the line” between “doing the right thing” and “not doing the right thing!” There’s more to that story, of course. But it gets worse. For some other shenanigans, Schiff was informed he is facing ethics charges for MORE wrongdoing. For complete details, click on this link:
  • When large amounts of money are transferred electronically into the United States, it kicks off warning sirens in the banking system. That alarm goes all the way to the U.S. Treasury Department. Quite a few of those transfers were made to the United States from foreign countries for the benefit of Hunter Biden’s companies. Typically, the Treasury Department informs the FBI which conducts an investigation of these large transactions to ascertain the sources of the money. Rep. Comer (R-TN), who is the new head of the House Oversight Committee, wrote a demand letter to the Treasury Department to turn over those notices to his committee for investigative purposes. Guess what: the Treasury Department told the Congressman to go pound sand! For complete details, click on this link:
  • The last 90 days have been rough for a bunch of people. But Jay Leno — the former longtime host of The Tonight Show — may have won the prize. The longtime car collector was badly burned in November when a vintage automobile he was working on burst into flames in his garage. Then, just days ago, Leno was knocked from his motorcycle and broke his collar bone, both kneecaps, and sustained other injuries. But there’s more! For complete details, click on this link:
  • No one can truthfully deny that Donald Trump as President authored quite a few “fixes” of issues in government that had existed for a long time. As a business mogul for many years, he successfully created very successful companies whose successes were based on innovative ideas. Trump has now thrown another such idea on the table for the American public education system. Among other things, the plan would empower parents to hire the teachers and principals of their children’s schools. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Ronna McDaniel won another term as the head of the Republican Party in what was expected to be quite a battle. The midterm elections have not produced positive results for the GOP under McDaniel’s watch. There were several substantial candidates that threw their hats into the ring. Who were they? For complete details, click on this link:
  • Bill Maher is anything but a conservative. But, of late, the comedian and talk show host has made it clear that he is NOT a hardcore Democrat — although he votes for Democrats and goes after Republicans quite frequently — and publicly has supported several conservative causes. That surprises many in the Hollywood Left who consider all who appear on network television to be hardline Dems. Recently, while speaking to actor Bryan Cranston, Maher and the actor go into a heated conversation about critical race theory. Maher really beat up the actor for his support of critical race theory. • It’s fair to say that 2022 was NOT a good year for former President Trump. Not much in politics went his way. And it seemed to most Americans that he really needed all of the endorsements he made in the 2022 midterms to go his way to give him some type of launching pad for the 2024 presidential race. Yes, some of his endorsements were successful, but those in the BIG races did not play out so well. However, 2023 has been surprisingly good for Mr. Trump. In fact, the ratings show evidence that he really has a hold on the GOP nomination. What’s going to happen during the remainder of 2023? For complete details, click on this link:
  • U.S. News reports have gone “light” on reports of the Russia vs. Ukraine war. Apparently, that is not because there is no news out of Ukraine. In fact, quite the opposite is true. It appears that Putin is devising a major winter offensive against Ukraine. And with the tanks being sent to Ukraine from the U.S. and Germany, Putin is furious that this will embolden Ukraine to switch to offensive attacks on Russia. The WHO is so sure of a Russia major offensive that they have given a list of nuclear medicines that Russia’s neighbors need to start stockpiling thinking that Putin is even planning on using nukes! • President Biden will NOT get those 80,000+ for the IRS if the GOP follows through on their promise to defund that move. But, the IRS is aggressively moving forward to find new ways to secure more taxes from the American people. We were told this week that there’s a new form taxpayers MUST fill out in their tax returns to be filed this year. It involves “digital assets” held by taxpayers. It seems that Bitcoin has opened the door to potential NEW tax revenue that our government cannot do without! Arm yourself with complete details by clicking on this link:
