Saturday Bullet Points: March 4, 2023

War, War, War! That’s pretty much all we hear from President Biden and Congressional Democrats. Oh, I forgot: they tout that to justify the millions of dollars President Biden has and is sending to Ukraine without Congressional discussions or votes. I hate to mention this, but doesn’t that seem like a bit of “quid pro quo?” Wait a minute…you don’t think this President is somehow obligated to Ukraine, do you? Don’t answer that!

There are many more things this past week that some you heard, read, and some you saw. However, some of the happenings of the week that are important, you may NOT have seen at all. And if you did, you may have missed their content and context. That’s what “Saturday Bullet Points” at TruthNewsNet.org is all about. Giving you a glimpse at a few details of each of those in a bullet point, you choose if you already know about the contents and don’t need any more information, or you don’t care.

Let’s get started with the big issues of this past week.

Bullet Points

  • We expect to see a plethora of 2024 presidential candidates begin joining the race to replace Joe Biden in the White House. However, with the current president refusing to formally announce his intentions, Democrat candidates have been slim in number to join the race. A surprise “half-announcement” of a potential run for America’s top job — this one as a Democrat opponent of Joe Biden. His uncle was a well-known Democrat: President John F. Kennedy. Yes, the former President’s nephew is really interested in taking on Joe Biden in the Democrat primaries. President Kennedy’s brother’s son, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, is also well-known, not just as JFK’s nephew, but as an activist for healthcare — specifically as an anti-vaccination spokesman, and not just someone against COVID-19 vaccines. Kennedy, Jr. has a record of pushing against vaccinations of all kinds. For complete details, click on this link:
  • In one of the most-watched murder trials of this century, a life sentence for Alex Murdaugh in South Carolina closed the book on a husband’s murder of his wife and son. Murdaugh is a longtime player in South Carolina along with his relatives for decades. That linked with the circumstances of the trial pushed it to the top of every newscast and story for weeks. One interesting happening in the trial was the judge having a picture of Murdaugh’s grandfather removed from the courtroom so as to not impact the Murdaugh trial. That’s how deep in South Carolina’s legal system the Murdaugh name is. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Have you seen how much snow California has received in the past few weeks? The only Californians who love this snow are rabid skiers and ski resorts. As the state’s residents have buckled in to fight the results of several winter storms, their governor decided to take some time off for “personal travel.” Gov. Gavin Newsom made that announcement this past week. He obviously has left the state for parts unknown — unknown because his office refuses to tell the media. Do his actions make you ask some questions about his leaving California’s citizens buried in the snow, without power several million Californians want their neighbors to be safe but also want their governor to lead the fight against and the cleanup of this massive snowfall. • Here we go again! Those “evil oil companies” raked in the profits during 2022 — at a record pace. While gas prices rose during the year, they didn’t hit record prices as the US economy adjusted. But, oil companies took advantage of it and that fact has enraged many, including President Biden. How has Biden reacted to this news? What does he plan on doing about it? Does anyone remember how those same oil companies lost billions of dollars during the CoVID pandemic and lockdowns? Who came to their rescue in the midst of those staggering losses? • Do you remember “TNN Live’s!” streaming conservative talk show hosting Michael Flynn in the aftermath of his treatment by the federal legal system? He railed against the system for the unexplainable actions of the judicial system in the wake of his government service in the Obama Administration. Guess what is happening in that story? Retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn on Friday filed a suit against the federal government seeking damages over what he called Washington’s “wrongful and malicious” prosecution of him. Wow! • Do you know what “open carry” is? It’s the name for the legality for citizens to carry guns for protection in the open — in other words not hidden from sight. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is pushing for an existing Florida Constitutional bill pending before the legislature there to add that freedom for Floridians. Both parts of this bill would be controversial then. The pending bill would give Florida citizens the right to carry a gun legally. DeSantis’ suggestion would allow the carry of guns in the open. What’s so controversial about this suggestion? For complete details, click on this link:
  • This headline blew the top of my head off in preparation for this series of bullet points: “Paris Hilton To Keep 20 Humans Frozen Until They Die Because She Wants A Girl.” Many of you don’t even remember Paris Hilton. She was famous in Hollywood circles and on television initially because of her last name “Hilton.” Secondly, she was a “sex romper” that initiated a short-lived television series. But what is this strange story about? To get complete details, click on this link:
  • Probably, the most controversial action taken by President Joe Biden was his executive action to cancel student debts for tens of thousands of those owing for their college educations. Most Americans feel this action by Biden was simply a way to buy votes during the 2022 midterm election campaigns. He felt that Democrats across the nation who were facing strong GOP opposition would take his actions and use them in their campaigns. The massive outrage against his actions is sitting before the U.S. Supreme Court as the Court considers whether or not this executive action was constitutional. Their actions on the case or expected at any time. For complete details, click on this link:
