Memorial Day 2021: We Will NOT Forget

When we daily see videos on the news and watch speeches from our leaders in Washington, we take for granted that vitriol, anger, and division are normal for the people of our nation. Nothing could be further from the truth. There are plenty of political hacks that want Americans to embrace divisiveness as “normal.” We cannot ever allow that to be accepted.

There are innumerable things that we overlook, assuming they just come from being an American: freedom to move about as we please, assembling together, worshipping together, speaking our minds, voting our consciences, working for an honest wage, and being protected all the while by law enforcement at federal, state, and local levels paid for by our taxes. Those 400,000 buried today in Arlington National Cemetery probably overlooked many of these same things until they headed off to war — war for THEIR nation.

It’s almost sad that today is the only day of the year set aside as THE day to memorialize the contribution of all those men and women who in acts of preserving all these things we take for granted listed above and the massive numbers of those NOT listed. But isn’t it sadder that only when things in the nation get really tough, and when the rumbling of “potential” conflicts and/or wars escalate to a fever pitch do we give military service members and the price tag many of those who serve have paid a simple thought of gratitude?

Dare we take that love and commitment and sacrifice for granted?

“Greater love has no man than to lay down his life for a friend.”

The most honorable thing about this that few ever contemplate is that almost every one of those who lie in rest at Arlington Cemetery or in makeshift graveyards around the world faced a decision, knowing that their choice could very well sentence them to death — and they still swore that oath!

From all of us at TruthNewsNetwork to all of you who have family members who gave their lives and lost them in the act of protecting our nation we say “Thank You.” We certainly know that our saying that does NOT make any of your pain go away. But it’s the least that we can do.

We will NEVER forget!

Saturday Bullet Points: May 29, 2021

There is no doubt that Americans should look closely at the circumstances in our country this weekend. Why? Because Monday, Memorial Day, we honor all the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can always have the rights initially confirmed to us in the U.S. Constitution. Those rights were NOT free in the beginning. And they’re still not free. They each come at a price. Use that as the context in which you examine highlights of important events over the past week in our Bullet Points. While reading these stories, when you become enraged at those who wish to destroy the Representative Republic, those brave Americans sacrificed their own lives to establish and preserve, think of this: Freedom is NEVER free. Someone always pays.

Catch up on the week’s happenings with our Bullet Points. And, by the way, have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Bullet Points

  • Have you heard of that blockbuster expose of America’s BIG media outlets this past week? You know, the one penned by that executive at Breitbart News. The revelations revealed details of the numerous wrongdoings Americans suspected were happening in our news media. They’re genuine! How about looking at nine of the top revelations in the New York Times bestseller “Breaking the News.” For complete details, click on this link:
  • Are you one of those Americans who felt that the U.S. Government was somehow using COVID-19 as a method to use to seize power from the American people? If you are, you’re certainly not alone. And with the rush for vaccines and vaccinations that seemed to be pushed a little too hard, the Biden Administration seemed to be suspect. We were told Friday that Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas and others in the Administration are “looking closely at requiring vaccination passports for travelers! For complete details, click on this link:
  • The “COVID-Passports” have long been rumored. Texas Senator Ted Cruz weighed in Friday about what those would actually be doing to Americans. It would make our environment very similar to totalitarian countries that require “official” documents for everything their people do — another type of power grab. What happened to that “my body, my choice” demand the Left have demanded regarding abortions? Doesn’t that same principle apply to vax sticks or not? For complete details from Ted Cruz, click on this link:
  • Russian President Vladimir Putin said that compulsory vaccination is inappropriate to implement in Russia, the Russian portal RT reported. “I want to state my position again. I think that mandatory vaccination is inappropriate and can’t be introduced,” Putin said during a video conference on the economy on Wednesday, May 26. Hmmm… it looks like one of those totalitarian countries may not be as anxious to take MORE control of THEIR people! For complete details, click on this link:
  • Did you hear that the CDC reported (quietly) this week that more than 10,000 “breakthrough” infections have been documented to Americans AFTER they received the COVID-19 vaccination? That’s certainly not something Dr. Anthony Fauci has discussed with Senators in hearings with Dr. Fauci lately. What’s up? For complete details, click on this link:
  • We have heard very little about the treatment of COVID-19 using the pharmaceutical Ivermectin. Fauci and the mainstream media have treated that drug as they treated Hydroxychloroquine: crickets! It should be no surprise that the Mexican government, in controlled tests, has discovered that Ivermectin’s use early dramatically reduces hospitalizations. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Fauci’s at it again. When he was asked about the dangers of researching viruses in laboratories to manipulate their structure, he made it very clear why doing so is not just OK but necessary. And he gives NO thought to the possibility of a lab accident spilling deadly pathogens into Earth’s atmosphere if such a laboratory disaster happened. For complete details, click on this link:
  • I don’t know about you, but this rush by Speaker Pelosi to get her hand-picked Democrat-led “January 6 Commission” approved was a ridiculous notion! It’s not needed. The FBI has already arrested more than 400 “alleged” lawbreakers from that riot at the Capitol. Why is there a need for politicians to get involved? With Pelosi, there’s ALWAYS a political explanation. Guess what: the Senate blocked the formation of the Commission. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Have you heard anything about the soon-to-be-presented Biden $6 Trillion budget plan? Based on the pork included in EVERY spending bill ever presented by Speaker Pelosi, can you imagine how much pork there in his proposed budget? One egregious requirement has already been spotted: passed in Congress, taxpayers will be FORCED to fund abortions. For complete details, click on this link:
  • The Left is now confirmed to have taken the transgender conversation way too far. In Virginia, one teacher has been fired for something he disputed about transgenderism. To be blunt, he’s probably lost his job. For complete details, click on this link:
  • We are about to find out if there is “equal justice under the law.” Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who famously announced she would not give interviews to any reporter who isn’t black, has been sued by a reporter for refusing an interview! Help me understand: do you end racism with more racism? For complete details, click on this link:
  • Georgians witnessed firsthand what happens when a politician running for Atlanta mayor makes outlandish comments about defunding the police. That candidate was left standing dry (literally) when kids stole his car! Think about it: what should he do? If he calls the Police, he’s hypocritical! For complete details, click on this link:

We can Breathe Again: Facebook and Twitter Unlocked our Jail Cells!

Good news, everybody — you can finally post what you always thought about how the pandemic started on Facebook without being muzzled.

The Silicon Valley giant, which has around 2.85 billion users, banned posts that claimed COVID-19 was manufactured. But now, according to a company spokesperson, “In light of ongoing investigations into the origin of COVID-19 and consultation with public health experts, we will no longer remove the claim that COVID-19 is man-made from our apps.”

The “lab-leak” theory — that the SARS-CoV-2 virus originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China — has gradually gained mainstream acceptance in the months since Trump lost the election. Nicholson Baker horrified New York magazine readers in January by bringing up the hypothesis. Then, more voices joined the chorus this month: Nicholas Wade in the Bulletin, 18 scientists in a letter to Science magazine, former NYT writer Donald McNeil, Jr. on Medium. Anthony Fauci U-turned on his earlier stance and said he was “not convinced” that the virus developed naturally outside of a lab. This week President Biden issued a statement describing how in March he asked Jake Sullivan to “task the intelligence community to prepare a report on their most up-to-date analysis of the origins of COVID-19, including whether it emerged from human contact with an infected animal or a laboratory accident.” Biden said that in this report the intelligence community had “coalesced around two likely scenarios” but has not reached a conclusion.

In March last year, it was widely agreed by everybody sensible that talk of the pandemic originating in a laboratory was pseudoscientific nonsense almost on a par with UFOs and the Loch Ness monster. My own reasoning was that Mother Nature is a better genetic engineer than we will ever be, so something, as accomplished at infection and spread, could not possibly have been put together in a lab.

Today, the mood has changed. Even Dr. Anthony Fauci now says he is “not convinced” the virus emerged naturally. This month a letter in Science magazine from 18 senior virologists and other experts — including a close collaborator of the Wuhan lab at the center of the debate, Ralph Baric — demanded that such a hypothesis be taken seriously. Suddenly, too, journalists have woken up and begun writing articles admitting they might have been hasty in dismissing a lab leak as a Trumpian conspiracy theory last year. CNN reported this week that the Biden administration shut down the State Department’s investigation into this.

Ironically, the turning point was the press conference on February 9th in Wuhan, where a team of western scientists representing the World Health Organization sat meekly through a three-hour propaganda session at the end of a 12-day study tour. Strictly chaperoned throughout, the western scientists (approved by the Chinese government) had mainly listened to presentations by their Chinese colleagues during their visit and done no research themselves. Yet, the result was presented to the world as if it was the WHO’s conclusion.

The press conference was told that the lab leak theory was “implausible” and would not be investigated further because the Wuhan Institute of Virology scientists said so during a three-hour visit by the study team. By contrast, the theory favored by the Chinese government — that the virus reached Wuhan on frozen meat from a rabbit or ferret-badger farm in southern China or Southeast Asia — was said to be plausible, despite a total lack of evidence.

So ridiculous was this little stage play that even WHO’s director-general, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, had to backtrack a few days later: “All hypotheses remain open and require further study.” Dr. Peter Ben Embarek, who led the study team, added: “I don’t think the press conference was a PR win for China.” Britain, America, and 12 other countries issued a joint statement expressing “shared concerns” over the study.

Almost every day now brings a new article or broadcast demanding an open-minded investigation of the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The veteran New York Times and Nature science writer Nicholas Wade pointed the finger squarely at the lab in a long essay published by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. Two lengthy essays by left-leaning journalists, Nathan Robinson in Current Affairs and Donald McNeil on Medium, have argued that it’s time to revisit the lab theory. Just because Donald Trump thought the virus came out of a lab does not mean that it did not.

The problem is partly that journalists confused two different theories last year: that the virus might have escaped from a laboratory openly doing research that was intended to prevent a pandemic, or that a secret project to create a nasty virus for use as a bioweapon had either gone wrong or succeeded all too well. The latter theory remains implausible; the former has never been so.

After all, the first Sars virus — which is not nearly as infectious — was caught in the lab by scientists at least four times in 2003-04, in Taiwan, Singapore, and Beijing (twice). Alarmingly, there is still no clear evidence as to how it happened in three of those cases: no dropped test tube or punctured glove. So there need not be any record of an incident, and the Wuhan scientists who swear that no accident happened might be right, but it still might have leaked.

It was not entirely journalists’ fault that the two ideas got confused. Early in the pandemic, two groups of scientists published articles insisting on a natural origin and criticizing lab-based theories. Both made little distinction between a leaked virus and an engineered one. In early February 2020, when almost nothing was known about the virus, let alone its origin, Dr. Peter Daszak of the EcoHealth Alliance drafted a letter to the Lancet that 27 scientists eventually signed: “We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that 2019-nCoV does not have a natural origin.” This was taken to rule out the leak of a natural virus from a lab and the engineering of a synthetic one.

The mainstream media echoed the language. By raising the possibility of a lab leak, Sen. Tom Cotton was accused by the Washington Post of “fanning the embers of a conspiracy theory that experts have repeatedly debunked;” the New York Times said the Wuhan laboratory had been “the focus of unfounded conspiracy theories promoted by the Trump administration;” and National Public Radio reported that “scientists debunk lab accident theory.” In the Guardian, Dr. Daszak wrote an article headlined: “Ignore the conspiracy theories: scientists know COVID-19 wasn’t created in a lab.”

Dr. Daszak, a British-born parasitologist, is an accomplished “grantrepreneur” who built an empire out of hunting viruses and analyzing them in laboratories, much of it in China. The EcoHealth Alliance, a foundation he created a decade ago out of a sleepy wildlife charity, has garnered $17 million a year, mainly from the Pentagon, the National Institutes of Health, and the Agency for International Development — and paying him $400,000 a year. No wonder he wanted to squash any “rumors, misinformation and conspiracy theories, as he put it in his email to fellow scientists. “We declare no competing interests,” said the Lancet statement, which was odd given that Dr. Daszak had collaborated closely with and provided funding for the laboratory in Wuhan that was under suspicion.

The other article that convinced many people that a lab theory could be ruled out came from Dr. Kristian Andersen at the Scripps Research Translational Institute and four of his colleagues and was published in Nature Medicine magazine in March 2020. They assembled arguments against the virus having been engineered, relying particularly on the logic that engineering a virus would have left traces in the genome and would have used a known template. Both are arguable, but in any case, the paper said little about the possibility of a natural bat virus leaking from a lab by mistake. Yet it was taken by “fact-checkers” at Facebook, Wikipedia, and in the mainstream media as ruling out that too. For months, therefore, any discussion of lab leaks got tagged as “conspiracy theory.”

The lab that has been energetically collecting coronaviruses from horseshoe bats for more than a decade, gathering a far larger collection of samples and genetic sequences than any other lab anywhere in the world, happens to be in Wuhan, as part of the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Run by Dr. Shi Zhengli, it boasted in 2019 having at least 100 different Sars-like viruses in its database.

We cannot check these samples because the database went offline on September 12, 2019, just before the pandemic began, and Dr. Shi persistently refuses to reopen it, arguing that it’s been subject to “hacking attempts.” Right — in September 2019? And there’s no other way to show the data? Dr. Daszak says he knows what is in the database and that it is of no relevance, which is why he has not asked his friend Dr. Shi to share it. Right. When this lack of transparency was mentioned to one senior British scientist, he said: “They are communists, what do you expect?”

The purpose of all these virus hunts and experiments was to predict and avert the next pandemic. At best, they failed in that; at worst, they might have caused it. It is still possible that somebody got COVID through an animal in a market, which a bat had infected. But in the case of the Sars epidemic of 2002-03, it was just a few weeks before scientists figured out that food handlers were catching it from infected civets — a type of cat found in southeast Asia — on sale in markets in Guangdong Province. And that was before modern high-speed genomic sequencing was invented. Today, with better technology, and after 18 months of searching, Chinese authorities have tested north of 80,000 animals in markets, on farms, and in the wild all across China and found precisely zero that are, or were, carrying SARS-CoV-2 (not counting cats, mink and so on which caught it from people once the pandemic was underway). The virus found in two pangolins in 2019 is a dead-end: too distantly related, nowhere near Wuhan, and none of the pangolin (type of anteater) handlers got sick.

Finding some close cousins of the pandemic virus last year in horseshoe bats in Thailand, Cambodia, and Japan led to a flurry of excitement in China that the blame could be laid elsewhere. But no, the closest related virus to SARS-CoV-2 is still one that was swabbed from the anus of a horseshoe bat in a mineshaft at a place called Beng-ping in Mojiang county in Yunnan in 2013. And Dr. Shi’s colleagues, who swabbed that bat’s rear in 2013, had traveled all the way from Wuhan, to which they promptly returned with the sample. They were there because six men shoveling bat guano in the mine in 2012 had fallen ill with symptoms like COVID-19, and three died. This was one of seven such trips to the mine: a fact a bunch of amateur investigators figured that out called the “Drastic Group” long before the lab admitted it.

So the only known link between Wuhan and the only known source of the only known specimen of the most closely related virus to the cause of COVID-19 is the scientists. It’s highly unlikely anybody else went down the mine and traveled a thousand miles to that particular city. Yet this bat virus from Mojiang is still not SARS-CoV-2, so either a closer cousin out there or a similar bat virus was brought to Wuhan by scientists and leaked. If we are to avoid another pandemic, we badly need to know which.

Wait a minute: what about that “other” conspiracy theory about the origin of COVID-19? You know, that one in which gain of function, funded (at least in party) by Dr. Fauci’s NIH grant, was actually used to drastically increase the infectious elements of SARS-CoV-2 to the level at which it had attained when “released” from the Wuhan lab.

Still today, no one can claim absolutely that such a process did not initiate what the world has been facing for more than a year. And if that’s true and the Chinese Communist Party is involved, we’ll probably never be able to confirm so.

So the conspiracy theories march on!

The Lunatics Are Looking More Credible Daily

It is sheer lunacy to allege that COVID-19 actually was manipulated purposely in that Wuhan laboratory! How could anyone believe such drivel? After all, even Dr. Anthony Fauci informed the nation (and the world) in demonstrative fashion as early as February of 2020 that it DID “almost certainly” originate in Wuhan. But it came from bats that were sold and bought at a wet market close to the Wuhan lab.

I don’t remember the first person I heard mention that the virus “escaped” from that lab and was the product of years of manipulation to turn it into a bioweapon. Whoever it was I am certain was immediately canceled!

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube assaulted anyone who claimed such nonsense was true. The likes of CNN, MSNBC, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, The Washington Post, New York Times and every other major city newspaper laughed about such silliness. After all, where was the evidence?

That conspiracy theory blew up quickly, but it died just as quickly. However successfully it was booted to the curb from mainstream media, it has fluttered under the surface and has plagued doctors and scientists for over a year now. Why? No one has provided any other possible answer to its source of origin.

But the worm has turned.

The theory that COVID-19 originated in a Chinese laboratory has completed its year-long trudge — from fringe nutjob idea to mainstream and expert-approved opinion.

Leading scientists and epidemiologists other than Dr Anthony Fauci were so quick to dismiss the “lab talk.” It was first portrayed as a hare-brained wild and racist conspiracy theory-driven by paranoid Republican senators and fever-dream right-wing media. Now it is seen as not only an acceptable theory worth more study but one that has broken through into the mainstream. This has happened in a matter of days. Where does Sen. Tom Cotton go for his apology?

Interestingly enough, the lab leak theory started gaining more traction — not only in the international community but in the scientific community in the United States — right around the same time that questions of United States government funding of EcoHealth Alliance, a research and collection group of bat coronaviruses in China, may have lead to gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Anthony Fauci denied that this research was happening in Wuhan with U.S. knowledge but went on to also acknowledge that U.S. officials don’t really have any idea what’s happening in the lab, thanks to the secretive nature of China’s communist government — a regime that has so far successfully put off the pressing questions as to the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Almost instantaneously, respectable media voices have switched from writing off the lab leak theory to believing that is somewhere closer to probable than possible. How does that happen?

A group of 18 scientists, including one who worked in the Wuhan lab, penned a letter to Science Magazine stating the lab leak theory needed to be investigated further.

Then Donald McNeil Jr., the former New York Times science writer wrote an extensive explanation of gain-of-function research (the scientific manipulation of proteins in a virus to make it more susceptible for human transmission) and why that it’s possible that this research was being conducted at the Wuhan lab.

Shortly after that post, the dominos began to fall. Just this past weekend, Anthony Fauci himself, who has long scoffed at the lab leak theory, changed his tune as well, saying that he’s not confident that the virus did not escape a lab.

Fauci was one of the go-to sources for media eager to write off the theory altogether. News outlets such as NPR said in April 2020 that the theory had been “debunked.” The Washington Post called it a “conspiracy theory that was already debunked.”

The Wuhan lab director called it a “pure fabrication” in Forbes. Well, she would, wouldn’t she? What was stranger was the western media’s willingness to take such an obviously compromised figure at her word.

Reuters took China’s lead, using China itself as a source for the debunking. Lots of the American media appeared automatically to side with any news story that was at odds with President Trump or made him look bad. “Anthony Fauci just crushed Donald Trump’s theory on the origins of the coronavirus,” wrote noted follower of science Chris Cillizza on the CNN website.

What’s more interesting is that minds are now shifting on the lab leak theory, without all that much significant new evidence. Only after the media conversation changed did a blockbuster report emerge in the Wall Street Journal describing how three workers at the Wuhan lab, had sought hospital care after experiencing severe respiratory problems way back in November 2019. This was based on previously unreleased intelligence — the very stuff Republican leaders were dismissed as cranks for alluding to early last year.

While there is still only an amount of circumstantial evidence pointing to the lab theory, there is more and more smoke around the fire. Our corporate media is going to stuff this down the memory hole and make their previous statements and stances disappear. Experts, cable news hosts, and opinion writers are going to move on as though they hadn’t spent the last year labeling anyone who attempted to even explore this theory as a lunatic. Dr. Anthony Fauci was one of those people. He should not be allowed to get away with it.

Fauci has been blistered the last few months before Congressional committees by Senators trying to get to the source of COVID-19. Just as Fauci has done in public settings for more than a year, he’s rebuffed, scoffed, laughed, and even lashed out at Senators who question his COVID-19 source assurances of the virus’ certain transmission naturally from bats to humans. He’s even acted insulted at the audacity of any Senators — especially Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and lashed out at the Senator in anger — UNTIL:

In May of 2020 on our show “TNN Live,” Dr. Judy Mikovits, a successful virologist and epidemiologist that worked directly with Fauci in the 90s on the HIV vax research, told us that she was certain the virus in its present form had been manipulated in that Wuhan laboratory under the watchful eyes of the Chinese Communist Government (CCP). She also expressed her certainty that the U.S. government would somehow find a way to weaponize the fear of COVID-19 and a potential pandemic to lock down the nation!

She was correct.

Americans need to understand this: no matter if/when it is confirmed that the Wuhan lab was COVID’s birthplace, the horrors of this virus and its effects are far from being known in full.

COVID-19 is NOT a virus — at least by medicine’s definition of a virus. COVID-19 is a laboratory manipulated MRNA: “Manufactured RNA.” What is “RNA?”

If RNA and DNA were human twins, DNA would be the popular and exciting one. Everybody knows about DNA — that it holds all of the information that makes up the entire living organism, and it sits comfortably in the nucleus of the cell. But RNA, or ribonucleic acid, is the lesser-known twin, and the hard worker of the two.

OK, so DNA and RNA aren’t human, but they are like twins. RNA is a copy, or a transcription, of DNA. See, the DNA is very important, since it holds the information needed for making new cells and maintaining life, so it never leaves the nucleus. The RNA is the one that goes out to do work throughout the cell. It’s also super important because without RNA our bodies would not be able to make proteins, which make up about 20% of our bodies.

Proven laboratory manipulation of RNA has shown it in its operations naturally in our bodies has changed in COVID-19. It’s changing the molecular structure of the essential elements in our cells.

This is NOT an attempt to instill fear in anyone. It’s simply a quest to find the facts. We owe each other that. And, sadly, medical professionals in large numbers have apparently signed on to the idea that it’s a good thing to create medical treatments with manipulative RNA to have RNA conduct specific tasks desired by those in labs as desired within the bodies of people.

What’s the endgame? I would respond to that by saying something sweeping like, “Nobody knows.” But that wouldn’t be truthful. We’re past that point. We’re at the point of mandating that scientists of all fields join forces to reveal to the public the truth of all this including the purposes of MRNA, the COVID “jabs” — they’re NOT vaccinations.

More importantly, we need to know the process to reverse all this IF it’s discovered to be life-threatening.

Stay tuned.

Almost Four Months Since “Insurrection Day:” Still No “Facts”

Will January 6 go down as another “day of infamy,” an assault against America akin in its seriousness to December 7, which commemorates Pearl Harbor? Maybe, but not for the reasons that comparison suggests.

Sure, many irresponsible commentators — but here I repeat myself — and Democratic politicians compared the January 6 protest at the Capitol to December 7, to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, even (thank you Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer) to the Civil War.

Back in February, I noted here that there were a few differences between these two sets of events. At the Capitol, we were told that “domestic extremists” or “domestic terrorists” at the instigation of Donald Trump “stormed” the Capitol in what amounted to an ‘armed insurrection.’

One trouble with that narrative is that the only arms were deployed by the Capitol police, one of whom shot someone dead. The victim’s name was Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed veteran and pro-Trump activist who was trying to climb through a window.

The role of the Capitol police that day is curious. At first, they went along with — indeed, they assiduously circulated — the baseless rumor that one of their number, Brian Sicknick, had been brutally beaten to death with a fire extinguisher by a crazed Trump partisan. That story was as eagerly seized upon by the media, just as were the phantasmagoric stories about Brett Kavanaugh’s teenage sexual exploits or the Covington Kid’s rudeness to an Indian elder. It turned out that Sicknick died of ‘natural causes’, a fact that even the New York Times eventually admitted after their original story had done its damage to Trump and anyone who supported him.

Just a few days ago, someone on the Capitol police force — CNN knows who but they aren’t saying — sent an anonymous letter to Congress demanding the establishment of a “9/11 style” inquiry into the events of January 6, as urged by Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats. I say “anonymous letter,” but really, as Tucker Carlson said, it was more like a ransom note, a politically charged demand made by an armed security force that is supposed to be politically impartial.

Yet the crumbling sound you hear in the distance is the sound of the Capitol armed insurrection narrative falling to pieces. It was supposed to be the gravest threat to ‘our democracy’ in the long history of the Republic. But the more we know, the less we see. It had long been rumored that the Capitol police actually opened the doors to protesters and welcomed them in. I had heard from one reputable source that it was because January 6 happened to be a day in which the Capitol was open for visitors. That might explain why so many of the ‘insurrectionists’ stayed between the velvet ropes as they walked through The National Statuary Hall. Did they really know what was going on?

I have also seen the recently released footage showing Capitol police welcoming in the protesters.

I saw that footage thanks to the independent reporting of Julie Kelly at American Greatness.  She has been tenacious and uncompromising. Anyone who has followed this depressing story is much in her debt.

One of her leitmotifs has been the cruel and vindictive treatment of protesters by the Biden Department of Justice, abetted by the Capitol police. Hundreds of people have been arrested. Some have been languishing for months in solitary confinement without being formally charged.

This, as Kelly points out, is police-state behavior on the part of the Biden DOJ. The FBI and the CIA have been operating more like the Soviet NKVD than the storied agencies of yore.

Back at the beginning of the Trump administration, Sen. Chuck Schumer warned that President Trump was crazy to pit himself against the intelligence services. ‘They have six ways from Sunday of getting back at you,’ he said.

In his somewhat gaseous Defense of Poetry, Percy Bysshe Shelley declared that poets are “the unacknowledged legislators of the world.” In fact, as W.H. Auden pointed out, the real unacknowledged legislators of the world are not poets but the secret police. It turns out that Chuck Schumer was right.

Big Pharma: Friends or Enemies of “The People?”

Every day, more physicians and scientists are telling us the dangers of the COVID jabs. And, every day, more doctors are joining with America’s Frontline Doctors who know hundreds of thousands of lives could have been saved had limelight-loving Tony Fauci not stated that Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) was dangerous and untested when in 2005, Fauci’s own National Institutes of Health stated that HCQ is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread.

On May 9th, a Swedish paper reported that 1,000 attorneys and 10,000 physicians filed a lawsuit for violations of the Nuremberg Code.

Fauci is promoting COVID-19 injections worldwide, and he believes we should don face diapers every flu season. Control, control, control. Our dumbed-down American brothers and sisters obey like lemmings rushing to their own destruction.

The Commander in Chief, Joe Biden, insisted, “Deaths are down by 81% since April 2020.” With cocky belligerence, he went on to threaten Americans who don’t want to take the “vaccine,” saying, “those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price.” Then with malice, he threatened, “if they do not, states with low vaccination rates may see those rates, may see this progress, reversed. Ultimately, those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price. The vaccinated will continue to be protected against severe illnesses, but others may not be if you’re not vaccinated.”

Pure rubbish!

These biopharmaceutical companies are connected to every government stakeholder entity making millions and billions from American taxpayers. Their histories are anything but exemplary. The goal is taxpayer-funded cash infused into these companies. Safety and health are on the back burners. Let’s take a hard look at their histories.

Pfizer was started in 1849 by two German immigrants, cousins Charles Pfizer and Charles Erhart, and was initially a chemical company in New York. Pfizer is now an American multinational pharmaceutical corporation.

Pfizer partnered with a small Mainz, Germany company, BioNTech, founded in 2008, which developed the radical mRNA technique used to produce the new Corona vaccine. BioNTech signed an agreement with the Gates Foundation in September 2019, just before the announcement in Wuhan, China, of the Novel Coronavirus and just before BioNTech made its stock market debut. The agreement involved cooperation in developing new mRNA techniques to treat cancer and HIV.

BioNTech also has an agreement with one of the largest drug producers in China, Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“Fosun Pharma”), to develop a version of its mRNA vaccine for novel coronavirus for the Chinese market. BioNTech is behind the covid vaccines being rushed out in China and the USA, and European Union.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is experimental and far from guaranteed safe, even though Pfizer, the EU, and the notorious Dr. Tony Fauci were ready to roll it out even before year-end to hundreds of millions of humans. The experimental technology is based on a rather new gene manipulation known as gene editing.

In a major article in the 2018 New York Council on Foreign Relations magazine, Foreign Affairs, Bill Gates effusively promoted the novel gene-editing CRISPR technology as being able to “transform global development.” He noted that his Gates Foundation had been financing gene editing developments for vaccines and other applications for a decade. But is the technology for breaking and splicing human genes so absolutely safe that it is worth risking a novel experimental vaccine never before used on humans? And especially on a virus that 99.75% of the public recovers from? Why a necessary vax?

Contrary to what Bill Gates claims, the scientific answer is “No.” It is not proven so safe, and Pfizer does not have a perfectly stellar record. They have done some wonderful work in the past, but they have also been devoid of true safety and efficacy in their promoted medications.

  • A tiny amount of Viagra is used to help premature infants as it widens the blood vessels inside the lungs, allowing them to function more efficiently and lowering their blood pressure as an added benefit. To promote Viagra, Pfizer actually conducted a global sexual habits survey in Malaysia.
  • Pfizer played a critical role in health and medicine in WWI and was instrumental in saving lives in WWII. Pfizer not only develops drugs for humans but also animals.
  • The company is active in the war against counterfeit drugs. Good!
  • They played both sides of the aisle in the 2016 election. Of course!
  • Their largest sales come from vaccines for adults and children.
  • They have a connected history to Parke-Davis in being an original medical marijuana provider.
  • They were convicted in court of violating RICO Racketeering laws in marketing of Neurontin and paid $142.1 million to settle charges.
  • Pfizer paid the largest fine, a $2.3 billion settlement with the DOJ for their off-shelf marketing of Bextra (Celebrex) in 2009.
  • Zantac lawsuits are ongoing. Claims that the heartburn med can be contaminated with a cancer-causing substance.
  • In the 1990s, Pfizer was involved in defective heart valves that led to the deaths of more than 100 people. Pfizer had deliberately misled regulators about the hazards. The company agreed to pay $10.75 Million to settle justice department charges for misleading regulators.
  • Pfizer paid more than $60 Million to settle a lawsuit over Rezulin, a diabetes medication that caused patients to die from acute liver failure.
  • Pfizer agreed to pay $430 Million in 2004 to settle criminal charges that it had bribed doctors to prescribe its epilepsy drug Neurontin for indications for which it was not approved.
  • Pfizer disclosed that it had paid nearly 4,500 doctors and other medical professionals some $20 Million for speaking on Pfizer’s behalf.
  • In 2012, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced that it had reached a $45 Million settlement with Pfizer to resolve charges that its subsidiaries had bribed overseas doctors and other healthcare professionals to increase foreign sales.
  • Pfizer was sued in a U.S. federal court for using Nigerian children as human guinea pigs without the children’s parents’ consent.
  • Pfizer paid $75 Million to settle in Nigerian court for using an experimental antibiotic, Trovan, on the children. The company paid an additional undisclosed amount in the U.S. to settle charges here.
  • Pfizer had violated international law, including the Nuremberg Convention established after WWII, due to Nazi experiments on unwilling prisoners. (Sounds like Fauci and foster children.)
  • Amid widespread criticism of gouging developing countries for drugs, Pfizer pledged to give $50 million for an AIDS drug to South Africa. Later, however, Pfizer failed to honor that promise.

It sounds a lot like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Bill Gates does not own Pfizer Inc. However, in recent years, the Gates Foundation has given multi-million dollar grants to Pfizer for research purposes, and Bill Gates allegedly owns stock in the company.

From F. William Engdahl in New Eastern Outlook, Both US and EU authorities and presumably also Chinese waived the standard animal tests using ferrets or mice and have gone straight to human “guinea pigs.” Human tests began in late July and early August 2020. Three months is unheard of for testing a new vaccine. Several years is the norm. Because of the degree of global panic engendered by WHO over the coronavirus, caution is thrown to the wind. Vaccine makers all have legal indemnity, meaning they can’t be sued if people die or are maimed from the new vaccine. But the most alarming fact about the new Pfizer-BioNTech gene-edited vaccine is that the gene-edited mRNA for human vaccine application has never before been approved.

Notably, two-year peer-reviewed tests with mice fed genetically modified corn sprayed with Monsanto glyphosate-rich Roundup first showed cancer tumors after nine months as well as liver and other organ damage. Earlier, Monsanto company tests ended at three months and claimed no harm. A similar situation exists with the gene-edited mRNA vaccines being rushed out after less than 90 days of human tests.

(Mode RNA) has more than 20 experimental drugs and vaccines for cancer, infectious diseases, and other conditions in development, but none are close to being commercially available to patients. They have never developed a vaccine that made it through phase 3 clinical trials before now.

Results of Phase 3 study of the Covid-19 inoculation candidate was co-developed by the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based biotechnology company Mode-RNA, Inc., and Dr. Tony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, and focuses on vaccine technologies based on messenger RNA.

Stéphane Bancel is a French billionaire businessman. He is the chief executive officer and a 9% owner of Mode-RNA, the American biotechnology company founded in 2010. WSJ reported, “Bancel nurtured a high-stress environment at the Cambridge, MA, company, characterized by high expectations, sharp critiques of workers, and heavy employee turnover, according to current and former staffers. Mr. Bancel’s admonitions of some underlings in group meetings motivated some to do better and others to leave.”

Veteran investigative reporter Leo Hohmann discovered a 2017 Ted Talk presentation by Dr. Tal Zaks, the chief medical officer at Mode-RNA Inc., where he clearly explains in layperson’s language just what the mRNA technology does in vaccines. Zaks states they are “hacking the software of life” by injecting their own genetic code into humans. People are blindly lining up to get injected with a “treatment,” which is also a chemical device, an operating system, a synthetic pathogen, and a chemical pathogen production device.

What we are witnessing in this new class of “vaccines” is clearly the wedding together of digital technology born out of the computer age, with Darwinian biology and medicine. It is transhumanism. Mode-RNA describes its new vaccine as “a computer operating system.”

Janssen’s Johnson & Johnson

J&J is an American multinational corporation founded in 1886 that develops medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and consumer packaged goods. They are the world’s largest healthcare company.
Their COVID-19 inoculation was developed by Janssen Vaccines in Leiden, Netherlands, and its Belgian parent company Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of American company J&J.

On February 27, 2021, J&J’s vaccine against COVID-19 became the third vaccine to receive emergency use authorization (EUA) from the FDA.

The J&J vaccine is a single-dose adenovirus-based vaccine. It is a viral vector vaccine that uses a weakened live pathogen (adenovirus) as the delivery method (vector) for transporting a recombinant vaccine for COVID-19 and is given in a single dose, probably with yearly boosters as in pneumonia vaccines.

There was an 11-day pause with the J&J inoculation when the FDA and CDC identified a total of 15 cases of dangerous blood clots among nearly eight million recipients, all of which occurred in women between ages 18 and 59. Three of the women died, and seven remain hospitalized.

Many have bypassed this vaccine because of the use of aborted baby tissue to produce the vaccine. The vaccine itself does not include fetal cells. However, it is manufactured using fetal cells, as is the AstraZeneca vaccine. The origin of these cell lines is from an aborted baby’s retinal cells. Fetal cell lines were also used to produce hepatitis A, chickenpox, shingles vaccines, rubella, and many others. J&J is one of the largest companies in America catering to baby needs and is also ironically one of the leading corporate sponsors of abortion.

J&J used aborted fetal cell lines to manufacture its COVID-19 vaccine based on three sources on how it was produced. KHOU-11 cited the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, J&J itself, and Johns Hopkins Senior Scholar Dr. Amesh Adalja as sources for confirming this matter.

Here’s the bottom line, folks. The bodies of babies murdered in their mother’s wombs were used for scientific study and are daily sold throughout America and the world. Vaccine maker Dr. Stanley Plotkin testified in a deposition regarding the use of aborted baby tissues to grow vaccines.

The health care giant has faced its share of lawsuits. A Huffington Post investigation called J&J “America’s most admired lawbreaker.” They have been at the center of scandals and government investigations and have issued recalls of some of its drugs and devices. Consumers harmed by J&J products are suing the company. They question the company’s motives and say it puts profits over people.

AstraZeneca was founded in 1999 through the merger of the Swedish Astra AB and the British Zeneca Group and is now known for its COVID-19 Vax. UK-based drug company AstraZeneca focuses on drugs that treat Type 2 diabetes, cancer, and respiratory issues. The company’s first blockbuster drug was the numbing agent lidocaine, developed in 1948.

Unlike the other vaccine makers who were given orders for 100 million doses, AstraZeneca was given orders for 300 million doses. This disproportionate order was justified by the belief that the latter vaccine would be much cheaper than the others and that it would possibly be able to be stored in refrigerators and not the extremely low temperatures that are required for the Pfizer/BioNTech and Mode-RNA vaccines.

But they ran into trouble in phase 3 trials. The problem was with transverse myelitis (TM) in two study participants and delayed the development by FDA for seven weeks. However, this can occur without a vaccine, and FDA concurred. The doses need to be given 12 weeks apart for any efficacy whatsoever.

AstraZeneca announced that its vaccine is 70 percent effective, but a major dosing error during the trials may have affected the overall efficacy. Some clinical trial participants were mistakenly given half a dose rather than a full dose in their first round of shots. Researchers discovered that those who were given the weaker dosage produced a better immune response.

Side effects with AstraZeneca include blood clots, which have popped with other COVID injections, but AstraZeneca has been stopped in 18 to 24 countries because of blood clots. Fauci still wanted AstraZeneca okayed for the USA, but now he’s saying we may not need it.

AstraZeneca has had its share of legal trouble, paying more than $1 billion in federal fines and legal settlements for corrupting clinical trials and illegally promoting antipsychotics. It has also had to deal with several lawsuits filed by patients who say the drug maker’s products injured them.

If you’ve had COVID-19, you have an amazing array of antibodies given to you by the Creator who made your immune system, which should mean, you don’t need the jab.

The U.S. has had a patent on SARS and COVID, in general, since 2003. Huh? And there hasn’t been much in animal testing. These inoculations are not normal vaccines. Vaccines contain proteins, this is mRNA, which changes a person’s genetic makeup. Money is the object. Health and safety are rarely considered.

Before you submit to these inoculations, do research! More importantly, listen to every interview by Alex Newman. He has spoken to the experts who know the truth.

Does the Astra-Zeneca COVID-19 Vaccination Contain More than Medicine?

This video and story were published over the weekend. We felt it incumbent upon us to show it to you.

Our purpose in sharing it is to simply put information we discover into YOUR hands for you to process. Whether or not there is something “more” than medicine in the Astra-Zeneca COVID-19 vaccination is still unknown to us. We’ve heard stories constantly in which warnings are included by many reputable physicians that these vaccines are really NOT vaccines. Additionally, they purportedly contain chip technology that allows those vaccinated to be followed via the internet.

What follows is an example of what we have heard for months. Is it true or not? Unless/until a REAL expert weighs in with explanations, we can only say “this has been reported from multiple sources, but, as of yet, we have been unable to verify its authenticity.”

Does it concern us? You bet it does!

“Do You Miss Me Yet?”

It’s safe to say that political things are a bit different since Donald Trump moved to Florida. In fact, politics, in general, made a sharp turn hard left with this new administration. That was not supposed to happen. After all, Trump was defeated by the so-called “moderate” Democrat, Joe Biden. Biden had been a regular in middle-of-the-road Democrat Party politics. How things have changed.

Joe Biden appears to have given the keys to the kingdom to the extreme left in his party. Subsequently, ALL of the “pet-policies” of the Democrat Party leftists have replaced everyone of Trump’s conservative ideals. Trillions of taxpayer dollars pumped into Democrat Party giveaway spending programs, a presidential cabinet full of hard leftist bureaucrats, fleeing from centuries of Democrat commitment to law enforcement while vocally supporting the actions of Black Lives Matter, ANTIFA, and other socialist groups have become the signature of the Biden Administration. And Congress has benignly marched right along with those moves, rubber-stamping totalitarian policies never before seen in the U.S.

And Biden’s just getting started!

Have you noticed how Democrat Party Leaders, though ridding the world of that dictator Donald Trump, continue to rail against him personally while daily ditching almost every measure instigated by Congress or executive order on his watch? Sadly, almost each of those made dramatically positive impacts on American citizens. Why would Democrats cancel those actions which almost immediately destroy jobs, drive up consumer prices and inflation, and shrink Americans’ take-home income? There’s only ONE reason: they are horrified at the thought of Donald Trump running for a second term in 2024. And they think if they repeal all the good he did, Americans will forget that all that “good stuff” happened on his watch and that the “Orangeman implemented them.”

Putting all this in perspective, it’s a good time for Donald Trump to ask Americans that one big question: “Do you miss me yet?”

Every day of every week as Joe Biden (with the assistance of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and a fawning in-the-tank media) drives the U.S. with breakneck speed toward certain destruction. Sadly, Joe Biden seems not even to recognize our peril.

“Politics makes for strange bedfellows.”

It bears repeating — because I had to let it sit and trickle into my mind for a few minutes.  On its face, it’s quite simple.  In politics, people would ally themselves with folks they otherwise wouldn’t for the sake of what all involved perceive as the common goal.  And these people may not always be politicians.

Into the political blogosphere came Donald Trump in 2015. The blustery billionaire from Queens was anything BUT a politician. Oh, he had indeed dabbled in politics through his support for others’ campaigns. But, Donald Trump as a politician was WAY beyond belief — until that day, he, with Melania in hand, took the escalator ride into a world that changed them forever. And they were not the only ones whose lives were forever morphed into something unexpected.

Forget the naysayers in the media, the NeverTrumpers, and the RINOs. Despite the best efforts of some of its once-leading figures to unlearn the lessons taught by former President Donald Trump, the Republican Party is in great shape going into midterm elections next year and is setting the stage for the 2024 presidential election. Staying the course will propel it to victory.

After a change in power in Washington, it is customary self-indulgence to predict that the other party is not only defeated but likely to go extinct. This past election was no exception. In March, President Joe Biden said he had no idea if there would even be a Republican Party in 2024. Former President George W. Bush said Republicans “want to be extinct.” The facts say otherwise. Setting aside the furiously contested presidential election result, Republicans gained seats in the House in 2020 and will likely build on that performance next year, taking control of one or both houses of Congress.

In a rare act of candor that was never meant to be public, Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), who almost lost her seat, told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats after the election that radical views like defunding the police cost Democrats and would hurt them more in the future. She said: “If we are classifying Tuesday as a success from a congressional standpoint, we will get f—ing torn apart in 2022.” How right she is.

Yet Democrats have not heeded her warning. Instead, they have misinterpreted the 2020 result as a mandate to indulge their most radical instincts. They have wasted trillions of dollars on an economy that simply needed to be reopened and plan to waste trillions more while raising taxes dramatically while pretending that they will only target the wealthy. They have mused about packing the Supreme Court with activists. They have gone to war against domestically produced fossil fuels, which we rely on, making us energy independent. They have invited a wave of illegal immigrants to our southern border and increased the quota of often-radical and always-broke refugees they plan to admit. They have indulged critical race theory and its attempt to redefine America and cast all political opponents as inherently racist. Their more radical members have even dabbled in anti-Semitism by labeling Israel, a nation where Arabs and Jews alike can vote and stand equal before the law, an “apartheid state”—an insidious way of siding with those who favor the destruction of the Jewish state.

The result so far has been the early onset of inflation, which amounts to a tax hike—one, incidentally, that hurts the poor the most. Gas prices are out of control. Every class of assets in America, especially equities and housing, has been radically inflated by bad policy, setting the stage for crisis. People being paid extra for not working are making the rational choice not to work, impeding recovery. Excessive government spending in 2021 and 2022 may make a recession in 2023 or 2024 a mathematical certainty. Democrats took all of four months to mess up the Middle East. They have even made American cities terrible again thanks to leniency toward criminals, rioters, and looters, although that effort preceded the last election.

But what about the turmoil in the Republican Party, which recently ousted Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from the second-ranked spot in House leadership? The move actually paves the way for better performance from the Republican Party. Some from the old GOP would like to forget about 2016, even if they paid lip service to its verdict during the Trump years. This is exhibited by an unwillingness to obstruct Biden nominees as Democrats did to Trump’s with even fewer Senate seats, a desire by some to rejoin the job-exporting Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, and failing to stand up to the woke mob and its corporate adherents.

Here’s the deal: Trumpism isn’t a set of specific policies, but a willingness to fight, a refusal to accept the terms of political debate set by the Democrats and the media, and a realignment of the party toward blue-collar workers. Liz Cheney rejected all of this innovation. She wanted to fight her own party. She wanted to assist Democrats and the media in smearing all Republicans with the January 6 Capitol riot—a move that Senator Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is resisting in refusing to go along with the House bill to establish a commission to investigate it.

Cheney’s replacement, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), is far from a perfect conservative and has a checkered voting record. But her job in leadership is to fight the Left on whatever opportunistic ground presents itself and put out the messaging necessary for the coming midterm elections. She excels at both. The fact that the GOP can have an open and honest debate — and adopt course corrections in full view of the public — is an asset, not a liability. The extremism of the Democrats, coupled with most Republicans’ desire to retain what is best about Trumpism, forecast successful GOP outcomes in 2022 and 2024. The GOP isn’t about to go extinct. It’s flourishing more than ever.

So Trump eyes today’s political Holocaust play out daily as the eyes of more and more Americans are open to the lunacy of the Left. Democrats didn’t expect those policy changes that were certainly supposed to swing the nation left were so caustic, so deadly, and would affect the immediate egregious effects on the populace. And it’s all happened so in the faces of the American people! They’re happening too quickly and loudly for the Democrat Party media to disguise them.

We’ve been told Donald Trump will begin MAGA rallies soon. The fact that those are coming back must petrify hardcore Democrats. With those rallies, Trump galvanized conservatives across the nation. People saw and heard him without the filter of the media. And they determined for themselves who he is.

After seeing firsthand how successful his policies were while President gives voters the confidence that a second Trump Administration would certainly untangle the nation’s mess today, MAGA rallies will once again put Americans face-to-face with the author of the best economy from top to bottom for citizens in the U.S. in decades.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure the answer from a growing consensus of Americans to that question, “Do you miss me yet?” will be a demonstrative “Yes!”

I’m pretty sure the hard leftists will once again do their best to destroy him just as they did for the four years he served us all. And that angers them even more!

Enough is Enough: Supreme Court Should Overturn Roe v. Wade

Abortion is nothing new. As long as people have been creating babies, people have found reasons and ways to rid their babies’ lives before birth. Yes, it is unconscionable to believe people somehow justify doing so. Even worse is the excuse that destroying life is a fundamental right included in “Healthcare.” You know, that “My Body My Choice” thing.

Year after year since the 1970s, anti-abortionists have sought to somehow find legal standing to overturn Roe v. Wade. Time after time, laws passed in the state legislatures have found their way to the United States Supreme Court challenged for their unconstitutionality. One by one, they have been summarily dismissed by the Court.

Maybe things are now changing.

The Supreme Court has agreed to review the constitutionality of a Mississippi statute banning most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The court should use this opportunity to liberate America from the long nightmare of nationalized abortion policy. It should overrule Roe v. Wade.

Abortion involves profound social and moral issues. This essay, however, focuses on political, judicial, and constitutional issues.

Politically, Roe has proven to be the most divisive Supreme Court ruling since Dred Scott v. Sandford, the notorious case that helped provoke the Civil War. Since Roe nationalized abortion policy in 1973, abortion has become fodder for special interests that poison civic life. Roe is a major reason judicial confirmation hearings have become arenas for slander and political assassination.

Further, Roe’s nationalization of abortion diverts federal elections and policymakers from issues the Constitution actually assigns to the federal government, such as foreign and budgetary policy.

Judicially, Roe v. Wade was what lawyers call a “rogue decision” because it violated accepted judicial standards. Courts normally respect precedent, but Roe reversed hundreds of years of Anglo-American law. Courts generally defer to legislatures on policy questions, but Roe effectively voided statutes in all 50 states. Roe converted democratic resolution into Supreme Court diktats.

Roe violated a rule that courts do not adjudicate “political questions”—those that cannot be answered using “judicially discoverable and manageable standards.” Before a court decides an issue, that issue must be one the judge’s legal training equips him to decide.

But Roe and the Supreme Court cases following it force judges to address such questions as:

  • Does a state restriction impose an “undue burden” on abortion?
  • How does a state legislature balance protection of fetal life with “reproductive freedom?”
  • Does the value of fetal life increase with the progression of pregnancy? If so, what restrictions invalid for a woman at 10 weeks become valid at 20 weeks? 30 weeks?
  • Is a regulation appropriate for the City of Houston inappropriate in rural Texas?

Issues of that kind are quintessential legislative policy questions. They do not belong in a court of law. Only within the realm of abortion do the courts fail to recognize that fact.

Now let’s turn to the constitutional aspects of Roe.

Roe v. Wade pretends to be constitutional law, but it’s not. It’s an absurd ruling stemming from arrogant decision-making and misuse of history. Even leading pro-choice scholars have acknowledged Roe’s defects.

To understand why the ruling in Roe was absurd, let’s start with some background.

The Bill of Rights, ratified in 1791, included 10 constitutional amendments protecting a long list of personal rights against federal abuse. Among them was the Fifth Amendment’s prohibition on the federal government denying a person “life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”

The Fourteenth Amendment, adopted in 1868, contained a shorter list of rights that protected against state abuse, including the rule that states may not “deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”

The Roe court ruled that the right to abort was protected by the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process Clause.

Many books and articles have elucidated Roe’s constitutional defects. Here’s an overview:

First: In Roe, the Supreme Court held that abortion was a “liberty” protected by due process, in part because abortion was generally legal in 1868. But the court’s treatment of history was deeply flawed. For example, the justices misunderstood the former meaning of legal terms such as “misdemeanor.”

Second: As its name indicates, the Due Process Clause is about the process—that is, procedure. As explained below, it regulates how the state must prosecute private citizens. It has nothing to do with substantive law.

Roe is one of several oxymoronically named “substantive due process” cases in which judges pretend that the Due Process Clause forces them to decide political issues autocratically rather than democratically. Substantive due process has no basis in the Constitution. It originated—appropriately enough—in the Dred Scott case. Over time, the activities the Supreme Court protects through substantive due process have varied with the political views of the justices.

Third: When the Constitution was written, the phrase “due process of law” was centuries old, and its meaning was plain: If government prosecutes you criminally or civilly, it must follow pre-existing procedures. It can’t make up the rules as it goes along. Alternatively: When the government proceeds against you, it can’t change procedures retroactively. Due process has nothing to do with abortion.

Fourth: Some writers admit the Fifth Amendment Due Process Clause is narrow, but insist the Fourteenth Amendment version is much broader. They claim court cases decided between 1791 and 1868 widened the definition.

A rule of legal interpretation says that when the same word or phrase appears more than once in a document (such as the Constitution), then the word or phrase is presumed not to change the meaning. Therefore, the burden of proof is on those who claim “due process of law” is wider in the Fourteenth Amendment than in the Fifth.

Have they carried that burden? No. Several years ago, I examined the 1791–1868 cases they cite. I found that they had been misunderstood. All were merely applications of the traditional due process “anti-retroactivity” rule. And there was no suggestion anywhere in those cases –or in any other contemporaneous sources—that “due process” included abortion.

Fifth: The Constitution’s text also tells us that “due process” is a fairly narrow right. It’s only one of many rights the Constitution lists. Other rules of interpretation tell us that when you see a list like that, you should presume that each item says something different and that the scope of each item is similar.

Suppose, for example; a wife tells her husband to buy “lettuce, carrots, broccoli, and cabbage.” But the husband brings home only lettuce, carrots, and a double-helping of broccoli. She asks, “Where’s the cabbage?” He responds, “Well, dear, if you knew your botany, you’d know that broccoli is a member of the cabbage family. By purchasing broccoli, I thereby purchased cabbage.”

Of course, this smart-aleck knew that when his wife said “broccoli,” she did not intend the widest possible meaning. That’s why she listed “cabbage” separately. This husband is on the direct route to what we hubbies call “Big Trouble.”

Similarly, the fact that “due process of law” is accompanied by many other enumerated rights tells us that due process is not a mixed salad of other rights. As explained above, it means that when the state prosecutes you, the state has to follow pre-established procedures.

Sixth: Advocates of Roe v. Wade argue that because it’s 48 years old and people have relied on it, it has become a “super precedent.” They, therefore, argue courts should venerate it more than it deserves.

This is self-serving rubbish. For one thing, no one relies for more than nine months on the availability of abortion, other than the people who profit from it. If abortion became a state issue again, state legislatures could—and no doubt would—take such reliance into account.

More fundamentally, the same people who claim “super precedent” status for Roe applaud when the court reverses heavily relied upon cases of even longer standing. For example, in 1896, the Supreme Court upheld state racial segregation. That case lasted 10 years longer than Roe, and people and institutions relied very much upon it. Yet advocates of Roe universally praise the court for (properly) overruling it.

Similarly, many of those claiming “super precedent” status for Roe praised the court when, in 2015, it reversed at least 6,000 years of precedent by requiring states to recognize same-sex marriages. Compare this statement by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) claiming “super precedent” status for Roe with her statement cheering the same-sex marriage decision.

Few of Roe v. Wade’s knowledgeable defenders think it’s well-reasoned constitutional law. They think merely that, as a matter of policy, abortion ought to be freely available.

They’re entitled to that belief. But they’re not entitled to misrepresent the Constitution. They are, furthermore, free to lobby for their policy preferences. But they should do so in the legislatures, just as the rest of us must do when we promote issues we care about. They have no right to impose their views on us by judicial fiat.

The Supreme Court must de-nationalize abortion before the issue tears apart our country and Constitution. The court must overrule Roe v. Wade.

Saturday Bullet Points: May 22, 2021

There was NO way this past week was going to have more important happenings than did the previous week! That’s what I thought heading into the week. Boy, was I wrong. This past week was one of the most controversial and news-filled weeks since election week in 2020.

There’s much to unpack from the week. We’ve gathered bullet points from the biggest happenings. In each bullet point, we give you a sentence or two describing a story’s content. After reading those sentences, if you want more details, click on the link (blue arrow in a small circle) and it will take you to the full story. If you don’t want more or have already seen and heard details of the story, just skip to the next bullet point.

Let’s get started!

Saturday Bullet Points

  • Most Americans are aghast at the horrors happening at our southern border. We have NO idea how many illegals are attempting to access our nation, how many actually make it into the country and are going through our immigration processes, and we have NO idea how many are spotted via electronic surveillance but are never accosted by Border Patrol agents and just disappear into the U.S. interior. But we DO know how many immigrants were chronicled and then released purposely into towns and cities across the nation by President Biden that number is staggering! For complete details, click on this link:
  • Have you wondered why the Biden Administration continues refusal to allow the media into the border facilities to show the nation exactly how the DHS is taking care of the tens of thousands of illegals? Think it through. There’s only ONE realistic answer to why they refuse entry to the media: they’re hiding how bad are the conditions in those facilities! And they are BAD. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Many corporate leaders in the U.S. energy industry are aghast at Biden’s cancellation of those sanctions implemented by President Trump that blocked the completion of that natural gas pipeline from Russia to Germany. His doing so will probably help Germans making it easier to get natural gas, but will hurt American companies (and therefore American workers) that will lose massive amounts of gas exports to Europe. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Speaker Pelosi initiated the presence of the National Guard in Washington D.C. in the aftermath of the January 6th demonstrations that became violent. However, most Americans think her doing so to the extent they were was not necessary. However, the House of Representatives feels the Capitol Police force needs help. They’ve passed a bill that allocates a massive amount of money that will KEEP the National Guard in D.C. perpetually. For complete details, click on this link:
  • During the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. pretty well concentrated on OUR infections, hospitalization, and mortality rates. We kept our eyes on other nations just to monitor their numbers and methods of treating those infected. Based on the death toll as documented by the CDC in the U.S., we had an abnormal percentage of COVID-19 deaths based on released statistics. However, the WHO now maintains the actual deaths were MUCH higher than reported. For complete details, click on this link:
  • Speaking of COVID-19, Dr. Anthony Fauci seems to be perpetually in the doghouse with members of Congress and is actually losing the massive credibility he held with the American people a year ago. After all, he is supposedly the most learned scholar in the world regarding everything to do with infectious diseases and their treatment. But his constant flip-flopping and proven untruthful “facts” for which he demands the benign acceptance by all have resulted in Americans’ confidence in him slipping. How bad is it?
